This maybe a first for the community but I thought that it might be a good idea for the squads in the Lockon/DCS community to come together to welcome the new cadets that have decided to join the community. I think he means a community the size of the one lockon has.

This only works in single player mode. The skins otherwise like the tail numbers are controlled server side (unlike Lockon)

What are you going on about Ice? Have you ever been on multiplayer? I can tell you that when ever I have been flying Blackshark on the 104th_DCS server it has virtually been full. You may not see that living in Australia because of the time zone difference between us but trust me, we who fly DCS Multiplayer online maybe small in number but we are steadily growing. The guys at ED have done an excellent job of getting the Sim off the ground and who cares what it looks like as long as the long as the virtual pilot feels as if he is flying the real thing. Hey if you want a "sim" with good a good graphics engine but none of the reality then go fly HAWX. Routemaster Out.

If you want to enter Lockon Via Hyperlobby then make a copy of Lockon.bat and put it on your desktop and edit using notepad and enter the following: @echo off rem regsvr32 /s msxml.dll regsvr32 /s MOM.dll rem start DeleteObsoleteFiles.bat del /f/q Input\TrackIR.ini del /f/q Config\TrackIR This is the same info Finger put up earlier but I've taken out the start lockon bit so that you can run this when you've finished your flight so that you can start a multiplayer mission in hyperlobby without having to worry about searching for the Trackir files that you need to delete. Just start this and away you go.

Do any of you guys think that it's abit of a coincidence that Thrustmaster have decided to bring out a new A10 joystick around the same time ED have announced the new DCS A10 module is currently being worked on?

If you are talking about the little red numbers inside the pretty red circles then you should change your datalink id number station to the next available one or if there are already 4 people on that particular channel then you should change to another R-800 radio channel. See picture below.

Well Guys. I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous piece of cold steel. It's big, black and comes in 2 parts. It's a Thrustmaster Cougar. It finally arrived at 15:35BST on Thursday. Believe me when i say this but it's the best Joystick I've owned and is only the second HOTAS I've had. The first being 104th_Polecat's old Thrustmaster F-22 Pro and F-16 TQS that I've had since my Saitek ST-200 broke on me at the beginning of the year. Check out the photo's for a comparison. (ignore the datestamp on the photo's. took these pics after changing the battery on the camera and didn't bother changing the date.)

When ever I fly "The Gauntlet" mission, I clear wp1 then land and the airbase just north of it and i tell my flight to rejoin formation. But they just carry on flying over the runway and off into the distance. Only once have they actually bothered to land but even then they park up in the parking areas and just sit there!

So basically saying to those not in the EU , "If you want a manual for Blackshark, move to Europe where you will have a better chance of getting one." LOL What about guys in Africa, Canada or Central / South America (Including the Caribbean Islands)? Can't they get one? Sorry guys.

Ordered mine from Simware Simulations (http://www.simw.com/) in Belgium on Thursday night (13th August), was shipped via UPS on Friday (17th August) and after going through Cologne I received it at 13:47 GMT here in good old Redditch in the heart of England. Damn good quality and really informative read too. 1 downfall though (but I guess it might have added to the price) is the fact that all the pictures inside are black and white. Would have been nice if it were in colour.

That was last night when some of us from the 104th jumped on that server. In total 3 pilots came down in the same spot. Was almost like hitting an invisible brick wall. I was on my own when I went down. Just as I got to WP2 aswell.
