  1. The series should include a lot of good information including but not limitted to predict the attack window, explanations of what The bubble is, control zone, plane of motion, pst, high/low aspect bfm, reversals, 3/9 line, vertical 3/9 line, SSD execution, The Egg, etc. Stay tuned for more, and enjoy the dogfights in this video till then! Thanks for watching! Intro Aerodynamics This is the first of many episodes in a series about Dogfighting, BFM, ACM. In this episode we will cover the basics of Aerodynamics like Lift, Weight, Drag and Thrust. We will talk about Angle of attack, lift vector, vertical lift, vertical component of lift, horizontal component of lift, how weight affects your lift and drag. Turn Performance In this episode we discuss Turn Performance: Turn radius, Corner Speed, Turn Rate both Instantaneous and Sustained, 1 and 2 Circle. BhKvSTiPmxw
  2. Its just a presentation so backers can go try out the 5k+ and 8k before making a decision
  3. It's backers only :(
  4. Haha, ya it was a toss up, but taking a 1/2 day cause i felt the same way.
  5. I will be attending this meetup on Tuesday, so standby for feedback! :pilotfly: Anyone else planning on attending?
  6. If they are doing throttles they would have probably showed them at E3. I was told at E3 that the hornet stick should be out this year. Time will tell.
  7. As I have been telling others, try to win it for a friend, a rio, taxi driver, whatever ;)
  8. Yup totally fine!
  9. :pilotfly: Probably would have got closer to the boat had i not thought the sight picture was 1.2 from the boat on the port side of the carrier, didnt realize it was 1.5nm, i give myself a 140 for false advertisement haha
  10. Wrong thread? Or am I missing something?
  11. Agreed! Get on the deck and dont kill anyone :)
  12. Ah interesting, thanks for sharing, I must have missed that line :) Ya its interesting reading the stuff, learning it and then hearing it from a real pilot whos done it, seems like some of the stuff goes out the window. I was going to put this blurb in my video and cut it out at the last moment for time and to not stir possible controversy... But I think its a valid point none the less
  13. If you line up the blocks for a standard rate turn on the ADI page, you do your turn in ~45 seconds. If you try to look at the blocks on the backup ADI... they dont move lol
  14. Right just 6 minutes. I mean, you can use standard/half-standard rate turns to do whatever you want. Unfortunately the symbology on the ADI is broken in the hornet right now, but one day it might work so you can use that to help with the timing.
  15. Also, thanks for all the positive feedback everyone, appreciate it, and glad you find it enjoyable!
  16. Interesting, I actually didnt really get my info from anywhere other than watching a current hornet pilot show me in dcs how its done. In his example he did a 30* AOB turn, which i suppose is probably closer to 1:30-2:00 and probably should have stated as such... hindsight right? I'm assuming you end up using a half standard rate turn then? And for clarification is this something you gathered from documentation, personal experience, or civilian experience? And since it might be hard to read in text format, I'm in no way trying to calling you out on incorrect information :) Appreciate the feedback.
  17. It took a lot longer to make than I had planned, but it’s finally done, hope you guys enjoy it
  18. This hinges on VRWorks, a framework ED will not use.
  19. Zoom is a FOV zoom, you dont lose it forward backward movement its just that the change due to the FOV is not really noticeable.
  20. My educated guess is that it is due to DCS being single threaded and having to handle the addition of the netcode stack in MP.
  21. It always goes to the display that is set as your main, so when you want to play, set the other monitor to main in windows.
  22. Do you have a link to that, I'd be interested in checking that out
  23. Outdated? What has changed? My settings have not changed, thus I've not updated the video. And that VR shader mod breaks the Integrity Check for MP, just something that should be noted.
