  1. Lol E3 was in Los Angeles :).
  2. Hah! So much to do, so little time :(
  3. Yes toe break does not move to far, and the throw of the rudder is about 5-6 inches. Additionally to use the brake, you would generally take your foot off the floor, so this gives you more control on all axis. Braking did not feel weird, it felt completely natural when i landed during the demo
  4. Taking a little longer due to time and energy. Hope to have something by Friday night. E3 rekt me... came home put the kids to bed and passed out yesterday.
  5. To brake you put your foot on the pedal, and the full throw is about 5" maybe a little more, so the "compensation" for the pedal angle is negligible.
  6. I’ve found that with the f18 in particular I cannot play dcs in vr, even on low settings. I get 22-30 fps in MP, 1080ti... hope they fix it soon.
  7. I got the same experience, in fact I was told I was the first to try it which was neat and yes the reaction he had was on point, the amount of feeling is incredible
  8. I’d like to note that the hornet stick has the same number of buttons as the warthog, the mouse wheel thingy, sensor select, and weapon select hats all have a depress button as well
  9. I got to try these at E3 will post content about them hopefully tonight
  10. I just got hands on with them at E3, video to come, also got hands on a prototype for feedback including hot and cold, it was wild... anyway, hope to have a video up soon!
  11. Apparently they are adjustable up and down as well
  12. Got some feedback about the new TM rudder pedals from a friend at FLightSimExpo. I asked him if he was able to try them His response: “Yeah they were on display w a sim. Feel nice, moves through the range of deflection smoothly, not obnoxiously big”
  13. This is inaccurate, the vvi should be lined up with the crotch of the ship if and only if the approach turn is done correctly. It should only be there briefly and shouldn’t be referenced after rolling wings level, you should only reference the meatball, your line up and your aoa using the ebracket. In an ideal circumstance the vvi will slowly move from the crotch to the middle of the deck as you approach, but holding it at the crotch will only end up with you not gonna paying attention to the more important things I listed. If you must reference the vvi or happen to look at it during the groove, only reference that it is 3 to 3.5 degrees down from the horizon.
  14. I dont have a problem with it, I did my case I video landing in VR and then recorded the replay in TIR for clarity, so it can be done. VR Zoom is your friend. Even at a distance I can make out if im on the ball, about 3/4 through the groove and when I feel good about my line up, i just VR zoom all the way down to the deck. The ball is all that matters in close anyway, so it's really all i wanna focus on. Just takes some getting use to. With VR headsets getting better in the future I'm sure this will get easier and less zoom required, but I doubt ED will do much to improve this just for VR, seems silly to change it to adapt to hardware only to have change it again later when the hardware improves, especially when its currently possible to see. my 2 cents.
  15. T-Flight U.S. Air Force Edition Headset Inspired by the design specifications requested from actual and virtual pilots from the military and civilian worlds, the T-Flight U.S. Air Force Edition Headset is what you’d expect from such a collaboration: crystal-clear audio, minimal distortion and long-term cushioned comfort. Featuring 50mm analytic drivers with stable frequency response curve, the T-Flight U.S. Air Force Edition Headset perfectly balances bass, mid-range and treble and remarkably optimizes distortion control to less than 1% between brackets (SPL 116±3dBSPL at 1mW). The 1-inch thick, over-ear memory foam ear cushions effectively isolate outside distractions, while an integrated gel layer keeps your head cool even after hours of play. For communicating with other squadron members or the tower, a high-performance, unidirectional microphone ensures seamless two-way communication.
  16. TM Revealed new rudder pedals... made of Steel and Aluminum (I will most likely be getting some foot time with these next week at E3, so standby) https://www.facebook.com/ThrustmasterOfficial/photos/a.233998930063131.53080.186029474860077/1594090547387289/?type=3&theater
  17. Just heads up, I'm going to be at E3 next week, already setup some time with TM to get a full "booth tour" and "additional coverage" that I will try to stream, but also will be posting YouTube content regarding it as well. I'm pretty excited to see what they have to announce.
  18. Ssaa was meant for non vr and screens 1080p and below, the techniqueue should not be used in vr, we already have pixel density adjustment, kind of the same thing
  19. Go to the cat you wanna launch from, extend the launch bar and press U
  20. Worst case zoom in, I do this a bit
  21. Ya F10 map, 332 was the course to the ship, not the ships course. Not sure but i would hope in the future radioing the ship would give you this information.
  22. Basically just use it, I find I always needed to use it, do whatever it takes to get down to 250 kts. As for the grade, I had a current navy pilot grade it, he was pretty harsh on me, a couple of my entries that I sent him he failed with no grade even though I thought they were pretty good. So when he said OK/FAIR on this one, i was beside myself lol.
