When can those of us who wish to do a fresh install expect to see a standalone installer?

So there's not going to be a standalone for DL tomorrow? Is there any truth to that?

For those of us who want to do a fresh install, the standalone installer should be available tomorrow I'm assuming seeing how the updater dropped a day early.......right?? ;)

I think I'm going to go the start from from scratch route.. Delete everything and start fresh. That way, if something goes wrong like the game not responding or something, I'll know it's not because of something that got copied over. I'll just keep my logbook and Hotas / rudder pedal configs. Longer DL time is of no consequence to me if I can get a running program.

Just to be clear, I don't HAVE to keep 1.5 and 2.2 installed for the update to take place, as it just takes files from both which decreases DL time. If I choose to delete either or both, the update will still take place, correct? 2.5 is its own install and will just take longer to DL if the previous installs are absent, correct? I ask because currently 2.2 doesn't run on my rig, no matter what solution from the forums I've tried, and 1.5 crashes after missions EVERY TIME. I've had so many problems trying to fly this sim that I've stopped trying. I fear that if I leave them installed and let the updater copy files, that I'll have the same issues. I have A10C, FC3, and pre-ordered the F18, and if I'm not able to fly, I will be P***ed!! I feel I should just cut my losses and start fresh. The longer DL time is of no consequence to me because I haven't flown the sim in ages anyway!! It will be like flying it for the first time anyway. Sorry for the long winded post, just very frustrated with DCS.

Like everyone said before, just having one install and everything on under one roof. Looking forward to seeing it! Can't wait to get back to Nellis and also see the Caucasus updated map. Wags" latest F18 video looked awesome.

Ordered mine on Saturday of last week, and it arrived yesterday. 5 days to Arizona, not bad. Got it set up for BMS and currently tweaking to my liking, but all I can say is WOW! Awesome piece of hardware, I would recommend it to everyone!!!!

Funny question: How do you DL the update?

I downloaded and installed this profile to my Cougar, but it doesnt work at all. None of the buttons work as advertised in the picture it came with. I am new to DCS, but not the Cougar. I could very well be doing something wrong, but downloading and installing a tmj is not rocket science.:helpsmilie:

So I'll have two separate installs right, 1.5 and 2.0?

Ok, so 1.5 only supports the Caucasus theater and 2.0 only Supports the NTTR and Nevada? Thank you for your help, it's greatly appreciated.

So I have to downgrade to an earlier version? Why so, and will that affect the modules what I already have?

Forgive the stupid question, but I'm a noob at all things DCS. I just purchased this Campaign, but how do I DL it. I tried using my Module Mgr, but it's not there.
