  1. Hear hear, We'd be stupid to throw money at the problem because the lucky few are able to, open and close of it is, spent the money on the promise that F18 would be the focus, the promise has been broken, no more money on anything else until that's rectified.
  2. Unacceptable, those users claiming that we should be patient are just outright wrong, clearly shifting modules of a new flashy nature has become more important than finishing a product. I do not support this behavior. How can you put this feature on an aircraft that has been out a shorter length of time by a period of 2 years! We need commitment, we purchase EA on the understanding that the features promised are being worked on... Of course ED's work is fantastic and revolutionary, nobody is discounting that... I'm disappointed
  3. I can't remember which version of dcs this occurred on, but I made a quick track of a hawk flying in the Georgia area and when I played it back it followed my takeoff rather well but eventually it took a much lower path than I had flown and eventually I killed my poor sister somewhere in the mountains! Oops :p I'm sure most of us recall our terrifying first experience with crashing into the ground in VR
  4. I have the opposite view to the respectable chaps here. I find it a challenge, although it must be said I'm using a 970GTX. I think then you need a smooth FPS count to notice a small dot moving on the screen in order to dogfight effectively. I can't prove this but this is why I think I'm struggling when compared to these guys. Or maybe I just suck ;P p.s. and in multiplayer don't forget that the guys on screens have SUPERZOOM abilities so they'll most likely spot you before you spot them
  5. What a lovely sentiment from ED Bart if ever i get to fly with you online and on comms, I shall address you as "Side Hatch" ;)
  6. Another fantastic trailer from Cato. So hyped! :D
  7. I think my undercarriage will be a bit sticky trying to land this thing, Release hype :)
  8. Ooooooh this has me giddy :D gimmie gimmie. excellent video Wags, awesome aircraft ED team! :)
  9. I too would like to register my interest in seeing this come soon. Perhaps polychop and Ed might be able to help BST?
  10. One little remark with regards to aircraft capable as per the OP, The F5e is also capable of carrying a gbu12 laser guided munition, it does need the JTAC to pre-agree a laser code with the pilot before takeoff, the F5 pilot changes it in his kneeboard prior to engine start as i understand it. Something similar I imagine for the mirage.
  11. even then, last weekend we were on the ropes! :pilotfly:
  12. There has been talk of this in the past, other than recommending the use of the forum search function I don't know what the latest is. I am however interested in this too so if you find anything, please do reply :)
  13. Hi Smil. I've been using the rift CV1 for a few weeks now. It takes a little homework to get set up but in an effort to help a potential VR user here's some key points for you: Pixel Density is a hot topic, what this does is gives us a clearer picture in the cockpit by rendering a display at say a PD of 2 (Pixel density) of 2 times the VR display's resolution then squashing it back down to the display's resolution. It's very gpu intensive, I use a nvidea 970, it's playable but I wouldn't complain if you gave me anything better. Model enlargement is another one. I've played buddyspike's blue flag with no model enlargement and found it difficult but not impossible to find targets. However in single player I can use and abuse model enlargement to my advantage. Dogfighting from my experience requires a good frame rate to notice changes to a smooth picture, a tiny silhouette moving abnormally across the sky is harder when the FPS are lower.. Ground fighting is a little tricky without a targetting pod/system but again not impossible. I hope this helps :) Edit for extra boring info:
  14. Thank you to the team at buddy spike, eagle dynamics and ALL pilots, this was my first blue flag and I loved it.
