  1. Do you have any idea how much of an oxymoron "clearing a corner in fear before calling a bomb on the next shack" is? Why are you always taking digs at US armed forces? That kind of nonsense isn't welcome on these forums. A good chunk of the guys on here served. We try to be respectful of all countries and cultures here. Stow the politics.
  2. Ok, this makes sense. I'm on board now.
  3. Right, I can go to the F10 map. So why do I need to edit them? Seems pretty edge case.
  4. Not sure how playing with already known data helps with the CAS mission
  5. Asking earnestly here, what's the practical application of this?
  6. Same here, no point track. Using latest version of open beta, no mods.
  7. Make sure you wait 3:30 after arming to launch, or your missile won't be anywhere near your target on camera activation. I though I sucked at using them until I noticed this and now my missiles are pointing more or less at the SPI/PP when they activate.
  8. I'm usually quite skeptical of these things but I really have not had a problem at all in figuring out the currently modeled Hornet systems. Between chuck's guide, the youtube tutorials, wags tutorials, I've been able to employ every new weapons system out there and test most of the available systems. What is released and has tutorials generally functions like it should. I wish all modules were more like the Hornet in this regard. Some modules have great documentation, yet everything is broken and doesn't work like it should, rendering the documentation worthless. Echo the above sentiments, rather have functional systems first, documents later. Less bad habits and bad info circulating that way, and in my opinion ED have done a good job at both.
  9. When in RBM mode, if you select 30 or 15 in azimuth, the dotted lines showing the new scan section do not move, though the scan size is actually reduced appropriately.
  10. Excellent! I think the LAR's may be inaccurate. I'm having GB6's failing to turn corners in time when within LAR parameters with an azimuth selected. I will attempt again and generate a track for your review. Also, is it possible to have a QTY of 4 when carrying 4 LS6's? Finally, should the LAR shown be a zone where it is possible to drop bombs for all targets, so an overlap zone for the given heading? I'm not sure if you have hard data on how IAMs work on the JF17 or if it's up for interpretation.
  11. Will the JF17 AUTO bombing eventually be able to lead moving targets when locked up with GMT radar like the F16 does?
  12. Found at last one unlisted fix. Before, when selecting a qty of 2 for ls6/gb6, only one station's target would show, and both bombs would drop even if the second bomb was out of the launch zone. Now, both assigned targets appear and only bombs in release parameters will be dropped. Very cool. ================================================================= by uboats: Let me use this thread to describe more unlisted changes since 2.5.5.41962 OB update 1. APR page 2. TACAN page To be updated...... =====================
  13. Why were there no patch notes?
  14. Great. They can close this out as works as intended
  15. RP is only used in MAN mode
  16. Sorry should have posted this question here. How long after powering on did you launch? There is a hidden 3:30 alignment process. I didn't know about it either and saw this behavior as well. When I started waiting longer, the problem went away.
  17. How long did you wait after powering on those missiles to launch them?
  18. Happened to me several times. I'm used to the A10/AV8, you don't really engage master arm until you're running in. It's happened more than once I've been at the RP for an LS6 and I forgot to flip the master arm earlier.
  19. yes, you always have to select a waypoint, then hold waypoint increment to use a TOO point. Most accurate way to place a flyover point is to be low. I believe in real life the only way a Harrier can designate a TOO point is with the TPOD.
  20. You can upload the target data to the CAS page from the F10 map, set them as target points. Those points can now be cycled through just like any other waypoint on the EHSD, and therefore the TPOD can be slewed to it. As far as making markpoints with the TPOD for later reference, that has yet to implemented. Only fly over markpoints are currently available.
  21. Zooming in definitely makes a big difference. I'd zoom all the way in, especially with something the size of a tank
  22. Are you holding weapon release? The tone is to start holding weapon release. The weapon won't be released for about 4 seconds. GBU's are immediate release, but dumb bombs are consent to release. Until the box crosses, the FPM, the bombs won't drop.
  23. Not true with GB6. You can broadside a column similar to BK90 on the Viggen. Works quite well. Also, the JF17 allows you to configure the distance between the weapons. They can be quite far away from another if you wish. Have you tried it at all?
  24. It seems the LS6 Tandem and Side by side options do exactly the same thing, they both just do "side by side". Settings: LS6 QTY: 2 Mode: TOO Type: TANDEM does the same thing as: LS6 QTY: 2 Mode: TOO Type: SBYSID Also, it is not possible to set this option in PP mode. I believe this is intentional and don't think it's a bug but I suppose it could be.
  25. Since we are supposed to refer to this post before posting bugs, shouldn't it be stickied?
