  1. On an old mission, night refuel on il-78. The drogue does not light up as you approach it (yes the probe light was on) As i nearly made contact, the tanker announced refueling complete ! (Fstest a/a refuel ever) :)
  2. Congrats from here too ! 2.5 is such an evolution ! Can't wait until it's made stable and we can forget about the previous releases altogether. Welcome to 2018 ! THANKS !
  3. You need to wait for the stable release in a couple of weeks. Then your 2.2OA will update to 2.5.0 The only way to get 2.5Beta right now is to update from 1.5.8OB
  4. 8 series is coffee lake ;) The fix is known, there is an MS KB you can download to avoid the issue since intel themselves asked MS and other partners to stop propagating the KB causing the issue. Why did i go Intel Z370 ? Not too sure actually, i wouldn't have minded an AMD, i guess i'm just not used to AMD I've always liked my i5's for gaming... If this is of any help: (dated yesterday): : "Last night, Microsoft released KB 4078130, which is specifically designed to turn off the Intel-identified buggy code in the Meltdown/Spectre patches. Sayeth Microsoft: ‘Intel has reported issues with recently released microcode meant to address Spectre variant 2 (CVE 2017-5715 Branch Target Injection) – specifically Intel noted that this microcode can cause “higher than expected reboots and other unpredictable system behavior” and then noted that situations like this may result in “data loss or corruption.” Our own experience is that system instability can in some circumstances cause data loss or corruption. While Intel tests, updates and deploys new microcode, we are making available an out of band update today, KB4078130, that specifically disables only the mitigation against CVE-2017-5715 – “Branch target injection vulnerability.” In our testing this update has been found to prevent the behavior described. The patch is only available from the Update catalog "
  5. Happened to my machine running an Ivy Bridge core I5: random reboots while in DCS (but also within windows) Drove me mad, the logs showed a simple kernel-power entry upon reboot, and the memory dump lead to believe it was a memory management issue. Long story short: i ordered a new mobo and a 8600k i5; this patch was a good excuse to upgrade an old system, and it made it plausible for the wife: "Hon... pc is wrecked, look... it keeps rebooting.... i guess i need a new mobo.." :)
  6. Lmao !!! Excellent !!
  7. Actually found it I think: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1746455/ Thanks a lot to the author: Krasniye ! Works a treat ! ;)
  8. Super ! merci :) Cheers !
  9. It works in both DCS releases... I just checked, and i mapped it to: "Engines STOP" it's in the "Engine & Fuel" category The default key is "RShift+End" and it is mapped to "JOY_BTN29" of my warthog Throttle
  10. lol ! yeah... this would do it... but i'd like to replace it actually... ;)
  11. Just'map it... it works...
  12. Hi all Is there a way to change the main screen Mirage music theme ? getting tired of it... :P
  13. Mission 2: leader crashes into mountain after bald mountain.. ;) Finished the flight on my own...
  14. You're welcome ! :)
  15. Known bug... the fix will come soon ;)
  16. Unless i'm mistaken, the kneeboard needs fixing too. I get blank pages on 1.5 and my custom kneeboard pages do not show, regardless of where i install them.
  17. Hi, i flew on Nevada last night, and i could not lock anything using the RB-75. I tried locking building, small vehicles, radar station...(didn't try to lock a tank) Can anyone reproduce this ?
  18. Merci et joyeux noel egalement ...
  19. I'll be first in line for this one !! I loved the Georgian campaign :)
  20. Thanks to all involved at Razbam for the Mirage's new FM ! Most of the initial issues with the new FM are fixed and the plane is amazing to fly now in 1.5.8. Our virtual flight school M2000 instructors ran many flight enveloppe tests last night and we were all very fond of our national "truelle" Instruction to students can resume (it was halted while we waited for the new FM) so everyone is happy. In 2.2 the plane reacts differently but i guess this release doesn't have the lastest change right now. Thanks a lot guys, keep up the good job for the remaining issues to fix
  21. Also, Altitude hold does not hold altitude in the new FM... altitude drops during the turn, to slowly get back to the initial altitude
  22. My 2 pences having tested the new FM: - Massive improvements at high angles, it's much more like what we can see the 2000 do in meetings ! - +1 on the numbness of the pitch axis... (i wonder if it's not due to trim laws) - altitude drops while doing turns in AP in altitude hold mode (!) - acceleration is unrealistic past 1.3 mach for a bi-sonic fighter.... it takes ages to even reach mach 1.8 Unverified info (supposedly Dassault supplied) i have on the real 2000 regarding acceleration: 50% fuel load, 2 magic, at 36000 ft: it takes 2 minutes from 0.9 mach to 1.85 mach, and 3 minutes from 0.9 mach to 2.17 mach source: http://www.mirage-jet.com/COMPAR_1/compar_1.htm - +1 on brakes and Airbrakes effectiveness (lack of). It is very difficult to slow down the plane in finals Keep up the good work Razbam, having the plane AOA based (rather than pitch based) at slow speed is a great path, the Mirage is now as nimble as it should be ! i'm sure the remaining issues will be fixed soon Thanks !
