Not really sureI understand the LOL, It's a pretty epic experience already, my daughter loves doing rollercoaster rides, and DCS and Elite Dangerous are simply amazing, going back to a flat monitor, even something that's 55" plus, is just... My motorcycle steering damper from Aliexpress arrived a few days back, now to take the F3 apart, powder coat a few choice bits to match the damper (KTM orange), and put it back together - once I work out the mounting. If any of you guys ride motorcycles, and are thinking of one of these for a motorcycle - don't. Just buy a real damper (Ohlins/Matris/Hyperpro etc) sure, it looks like it, but let me tell you, having actually got an Ohlins on my Fireblade, there's no way I'd trust my life to this (there is a fluid leak every time I twist the adjuster knob - not something that happens on a proper damper). It'll do wonderfully for the rudder pedals, though, at about $40 shipped, the price was right - I'll update in about 6 weeks, when I'm back with my F3, and have the time to strip it down... Z...

This is an awesome post. I've not yet started messing with Arduino, how long did it take to get a grip on programming? I've done C+/++, Cobol in my 20's (about 15 years ago now), so not totally clueless with programming, but otherwise, starting form scratch. Fair enough, though I suspect the VKB and VPC bases would have zero issues deal with the extra weight of a native metal grip. Both offer the ability to attach a Warthog grip with no warnings about increased chance of failure... I mean, yes, yes, I see his point, but there comes a time in your life when you appreciate "nice stuff", and holding a metal grip feel nice, compared to plastic (no matter how high the quality of the plastic is). The main thing is the 4 way + push hat at the thumb. Once you are used to that, it’s very hard to get un-used ot it. If that is a concern, buy a T-50 or WarBRD base, and order a Warthog grip as a spare part from Thrustmaster. Problem solved. Z...

Not quite... I have a CH Pro throttle, and the Warthog. I like the ergonomics of the CH Pro, but also want additional controls that allow me to use the more complex jets (like the A10-C). So, what I really want is a CH Pro crossed with a Warthog, but bettererer... Which, I hope, the VPC unit will do a fairly good job of. I think the reality is, that I will start getting into building my own add-on control boxes at some stage, so whatever switches/buttons end up being missing, I’ll build an add on box myself to cover it. The controls on the grip itself are probably my priority. I do agree with you, though, we really all want a throttle that can perform the functions at least as well as a Warthog, but we want it to be better. :thumbup: So, I think, we are actually in agreement. Remember. This is not meant to be an Warthog throttle replacement, we can already buy one of those. Personally, I will buy this unit for other planes/games where the warthog throttle isn’t really ideal. Elite Dangerous,f or example, would be much better served with a throttle like this (especially with a mini stick). I’m sure there are DCS planes that would also benefit (though I’m still learning to fly a Warthog for now). For me, it’s not a replacement, it’s an addition to. Z...
