  1. The price on the site was incorrect, I currently can't see a price. Z...
  2. Edit - there wasn’t a graph when I looked. Z...
  3. Awesome, thanks for the info! Also, I hope similar discounts will be available once the htumbstick version gets it’s pre-order, though I doubt it’ll stop me if not. Z...
  4. It's about 25% more than I was expecting, which is significant. Also, I fly space sims too, so kinda need the analog stick version, which may, or may not, be more expensive (ot mention either way from Virpil). Yeah, I may have a 1080Ti, doesn't mean I didn't work my butt off for it... Also, remember, the VKB estimated their TECS to be in the $200 range, now, it's a lot further from production than the VPC unit, but that is a gigantic potential price difference, especially as their sticks are far closer. Z...
  5. Ouch, a tad pricier than expected. Will have to wait for analog stick version before I plonk down cash. Z...
  6. Great news, I was hoping you would hold off production until you could build and assemble the components yourselves, I think it's worth the wait. Good luck with the new factory guys! Z...
  7. As a flip view, also being in Aus, it was approx 2 weeks to arrive once the T-50 was released (I had pre-ordered). Also, I had one of the early batches with rough cams, I got my replacement cams in about 12 days. EMS is hit and miss, I think. As an Aussie, International shipping is a way of life, an I must say, I still hate ordering stuff from the US when they DON’T offer reguler USPS mail service, as I find stuff from the US, via USPS, arrives in about 4 days, AND, they will post to my PO Box, so I don’t have to constantly drive to courier depots to pick stuff up (Who’s home between 9am-6pm anyway?). But I digress, I got my goodies in good time. Z...
  8. It's not like you don't have plenty of alternatives. Having said that, I personally hate FB, but am on it due to many family members using the site, so it helps to keep in touch. I think I'd rather see FB, and social media in general, learn from this and adapt, as apposed to seeing FB fail altogether. Remember, there are tens of thousands of jobs, people feeding their kids, paying for their homes etc who depend on FB for their weekly paycheque. It's not just Zuckerberg rolling in cash... Business is business though, and if you're not paying for it, it's because you are the product. Honestly, I'm more concerned about Microsoft and the way Windows 10 (a paid product) throws adds in your face and harvests your data. It's easy to not use social media, it's not so easy to not use Windows. Hell, I'm an OSX person, and I still *need* windows (playing DCS and gaming in general, along with some work specific software). Then, there is this... This should be something that scares the hell out of people. A German company, a pillar of of the EU, is doing this. It's not China, not some third world SE Asian nation, or some Democratic Republic of Blood & Dictatorship in Africa... But a gigantic company, in Germany, heart of the EU... Z...
  9. Those would be BRD F2's and F3's. Seeing as Baur and Virpil are working together, it is not too crazy to suggest a VPC pedal set up based on those. Excellent stuff re the factory Cyp3r! Sometimes, if you want it done right, you just have to do it yourself! Z...
  10. I was a tad worried, as the smallest pair I could find still seemed a tad large, but patience and macro mode on the iPhone camera seemed to work out in the end  :pilotfly: Z...
  11. OK, bent pin repaired, and it's plugged in and working. So far so good... Z...
  12. Oddly - I damaged it putting it onto the VPC base, the free floating connector actually made it harder with the Warthog grip, as the warthog centers itself on the warthog base due to the guides, the VPC socket can float around, and for some reason, the Warthog grip seems much harder to center than the VPC grip. I also damaged the VPC socked *the metal ring around the socket has come loose) - so that will be after the Warthog grip repair... Z...
  13. Good point. Despite my boatload of tools, I don't have a super small pair of need nose, so I'll be waiting until tomorrow to go to the hardware store I suspect. Can that metal ring be removes to allow for easier access? I'm not afraid of taking the thing apart... Z...
  14. So, whilst putting my Warthog grip onto my T50 base, I managed to do this... Ideas? Had one suggestion to use a ball point pen tube to fix it, doesn't seem like a bad idea at all. Any other ideas appreciated. Once I get that sorted, I'll as for suggestion getting the T50 base metal ring back onto the socket thingy... (I think I'm going to screw the T50 socket into place after this). Z...
  15. Honestly, I can't remember, let me have a look through my emails, I should be able to dig it up, though. edit - PM sent. Z...
  16. From my perosnal point of view, as someone that owns a Rift, and has used the Vive. Comfort is subjective, I wear glasses,a nd find the Vive more comfy. Tracking - Vive, hands down, if oyu want to do room scale. If not, just by a Rift and be done with it. The 2x (or 3 x) cameras for the Rift are all USB power, and it is an epic pain in th eproverbial have all those USB cables all over the place. The Lighthouse is a much smarter set up, and no one is likely to be monitoring you (for the conspiracy theorists out there). The Rift has better controls, but not that much better. If I were to buy now, though, I’d be looking at the mixed reality headsets, whatever the internal tracking lacks in accuracy in comparison tot he Rift of Vive, would more than be made up for by lack of having to set up cameras or lighthouse thingies.. I’d probably would also wait for the new Vive to pop up. Z...
  17. I know - I already have a Mongoos T-50. I want the WarBRD as a second stick for my second rig). Cheers, for the info re the savings, will just wait for the WarBRD before buying the extensions, then (which, for the record, are also for the T-50). Z...
  18. I already have a Warthog and Mongoose, so it's just the base to invest in, certainly something I'm willing to throw a bit of cash at for my simpit, seeing as I'm trying to design it to allow for all options (as much as possible, anyways). Thanks for that info  Z...
  19. Hey Cyph3r, any way to take advantage of the sale without actually having them ship yet? ie - I want to by the new cams, and an extension set, but shipping to Aus kinda makes it silly without a more substantial purchase . Seeing as I also want a WarBRD, I'd like to order the cams and extensions, and then ship with a WarBRD purchase once available... Z...
  20. What did this cost you? (I'm just after a rough figure). And what, what, exactly, is the workaround for "professional use"? edit - NVM - I presume you got the Lightning version. Not as pricey as I thought, interesting, I do wonder how it would perform for space sims. Z...
  21. As posted by others, it's a function of the base, though if you really need proof, I have my Warthog grip handy and can take a shot of the grip with the T-50 base  Z...
  22. Your Bose cubes - keep you fronts together, not split, and point them more towards you. Make sure the rears are split, so the surrounds are dispersed. (Speaking as someone that has installed and calibrated home theatre systems for over 20 years). Z...
  23. I had this issue too, ended up typing *.* when looking for the config file, and picked one of the ones that didn't appear initially (can't remember which) that worked perfectly. Z...
  24. I know, that's fine, I'd expect the grip of the throttle to be a plastic. Z...
  25. Which, from my understanding, is a type of hardened aluminium, so not plastic  Z...
