  1. Thats very helpful! Will try that tonite or tomorrow and report back,,, many thanks
  2. So if you made a change,,, did you test for results? Thats all Im waiting for before I dabble into this. Thanks
  3. I certainly get your point and have changed my bindings so I dont use that "press" feature for the A Flight Director (what a shame to loose that feature), but that still leaves me with the up position still tripping the left or right function as well. I have tried to train myself to gingerly use the hat switch by pressing up rom the bottom(as you suggested) and by resting my thumb on the center of the switch and rocking forward, but both yield the same results.
  4. I’ve had my new Virpil Constellation Alpha grip and CM3 throttle for about 3 months now. It is great to have all of these button features, but I am still finding them to be way too sensitive, and the results are frustrating. Example, I use the 7,8,9,10 & 11 Hat Switch buttons a lot on the Grip for the KA-50 Black Shark. Pushing to the LEFT for “Turn to Target” RIGHT for “Moving Target” UP for “Lock Target” PUSHED IN for “Flight Director”. If im trying to lock a target, and I push UP to lock, not only does it perform that function, but if there is any slight pressure at all towards the RIGHT, it will cycle off the “Moving Target” that I had previously set to on,,, and if there is also any kind of inward pressure, it will also engage the “Flight Director”. This causes all kinds of frustrating problems, to the point where I simply have to remap so those button presses are not being used at all, I have to spread them about to different buttons to avoid this. Last night I went into Virpil software and watched the buttons that were being activated and with controlled presses, I could watch that even the slightest nudge to the left or the right, once the button was slowly and softly moved UP, if I rolled my thumb ever so slightly left or right, that action would also be executed. I have similar problems with the Throttle buttons as well, but I don’t use them as much at the moment. I like the HOTAS a lot, but this is frustrating.
  5. I personally have not seen any discussion about creating or modifying this to improve DCS Performance. So is it worth dabbling in, and if so, what are the recommended settings?
  6. OMG,,, LOL,, Im going to have to re-read that a few more times to try and grip the flow,,, so ultimately, what settings do you think need to be viewed that offered you a jitter free ride?
  7. Thats all very interesting indeed. I will probably install it just to experiment. Im not so sure I want to keep it installed though. I watched a couple of YouTube tutorials on MSI DC, and see that it is a very powerful utility,,, it can do tons of changes to your PC settings etc,,,
  8. Wow! I was doing some quick research about the that MSI Dragon Center with DCS,,, it is worth the read even if you dont want to try this software.
  9. @Leg2ion That is all very interesting! I may give that a go next week. I will say this as well, because I do alot of experimenting, and as we all know, that can really muck up the works! I personally use Acronis Backup software. And before I do anything like you described, I do a backup of my PC and then go throw in the software and make changes to my hearts content. And if I either dont like the software or muck it up, I simply restore. Thanks for your post
  10. I have limited them under certain configurations, but have not eliminated. I have put so much time into this, I even took 2 solid days out of work in addition to working on it at every opportunity, weekends, nites (no one said it would be easy!) ,, I walked away for a bit as it has fried my brain. But I still follow this and will continue to fiddle. There has been a tremendous amount of support, just in this thread alone. Sometimes though, there are alot of contradictions. Basically though, I have received alot of good tips here and alot of specific points of focus, which has been extremely helpful!
  11. I dont see anything I cant actually see,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but I know what Im looking at,,, nothing!
  12. We just want to know, "Whats Up"?
  13. I understand the multiplane analogy now, thank you. I dont understand this statement though?: "So leave the setting application controlled and see vsync in NCP." Right now, Vsync is set to in GLOBAL settings and in PROGRAMS settings for DCS *** On an irritating side note (LOL) how do you guys do this ? I keep clicking on peoples name and profiles, I cant find a way to "mention" like I can do on Discord
  14. Thanks for that, I read it, but most of it was over my head. I dont know how that will impact DCS IF running it in full screen since my interpretation of that was that it only affected anything running in Windowed mode?
  15. Thanks Lang_666, thats 1 easy one out of the way
  16. That makes alot of sense Lange_666, and I am actually targeting doing just that, get it pretty solid just above 60, then lock it at 60. So with that being said, where again are you locking it at 60? NCP right? And another open question, once I Lock it at 60, should I run my monitor still at 120, or set it to 60 as well? I would thing there would be a difference on workload for the GPU correct?
  17. Thanks Lang_666,, I havnt had time to run any tests today, but will tomorrow. My instincts would agree with you. Especially that I fly choppers low and fast to the ground. I have been running about 60 - 80 the way things are right now, with occasional dips to mid 50's. I will keep chugging along, keeping all of that in mind. On a side note, I found out why I wasnt able to select SSAA x2, it is NOT an option for me at my typical resolution of 3840 x 1600, but is on any other resolution below that for some reason.
  18. Never mind, I found out by accident that its not an option at my typical resolution of 3840 x 1600, but is on any other resolution below that for some reason
  19. What reasons would I be looking for to find out why i only have the option of OFF/1.5 for SSAA? Why would the option top set it for "2" be missing in my drop down menu? Thanks
  20. Hmmm,,, perhaps i will fiddle with TrackIR as well as soon as I readjust other settings,, here in my current TrackIR Config
  21. Very interesting. I have my Textures maxed out, i did try them turned down but didnt like the outcome, so they are back up, along with the 3 preload sliders. I know I tried SSAA 1.5 (dont have a x2 option for some reason?) along with MSAA x 4, but my frames were chopped in half. I will try the SSAA addition and cut down the MSAA. I will say this about chasing the FPS, when I was using my monitors FPS meter, and believing I was seeing a solid 120 after i reset my NCP to Defaults, I thought i uncovered my jackpot. When in reality, I was running about 50 - 60 FPS, and things looked pretty good. There is something to be said about turning off your FPS counter. Thanks for the feedback! And I will be experimenting further. I am just still focused on micro stutters at this point, and keeping quality as high as possible.
