There again is the chip matter,, I really dont even know if it would matter on X170,,, anywho,,, I am starting to dabble into VR, and I wonder the potential impact? Perhaps it would be best to attempt balancing due to the VR needs? I dont know.

I followed this thread for years, I still have no idea whether or not I would benefit from setting cores? I know this much, I spent many days creating spread sheets to monitor my changes and the results of those changes. As I recall, for my system, I wound up turning Hyper Threading off, and (AT THE TIME) it performed better because it significantly reduced micro stuttering for some reason for me. I have since upgraded my GPU twice, and I never went back to fiddling with Process Lasso. Based on even what I have read here again today, Im not sure its worth my time? BitMaster added his point regarding the Chipset potential factor,,, I dont know if that relates to my system or not as I have a Z170,,, and I have no idea what to read into that or how I would be impacted. Any who,,, good reading,,,

Clarification please. In preparation for installing Odyssey+ this week. I first need to set it up on Windows Mixed Reality on my PC. Now, do I actually still need to setup Steam VR even though I am NOT using any Steam games (My DCS is Non-Steam)? Thanks,

Oh, Im not questioning Steams Popularity, I will actually plead ignorance! My previous experiences with Steam led my to abandon it, and with that came a performance increase in DCS. I admit, that was quite some time ago, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Fundamentally, I do my best to limit background processes. Perhaps steam has improved in that department, I dont know, but if I had a choice between running dedicated software so I could operate a VR headset and software that performs like a social media app,,, I would choose the dedicated software. Again, I am ignorant in this department, perhaps they both eat up the same or similar resources? Im just trying to get into VR without towing a Boat and Trailer behind me that has flat tires,,,,

My experience with Steam in the past was that it was a resource hog. Its probably been well over 10 years since I stopped using it.

Oh brother, didnt know that

@ Svsmokey: So the Index is typically ordered from Steam,,, so does that mean you need to run a Steam Application to run it? Thanks for the other tips by the way also. @Wicked: Thanks for the feedback on the Bases, interesting! I can see that there might be an issue with the use of only one now that you mention it.

Follow up: Thrustmaster sent me a notice that they made an error and that these parts are available. I just went through the process and submitted an order. We shall see how this turns out. Hopefully good? I thought the price was right, 33 Euros for 2 Antenna pots, 1 Range Pot and 1 Speed Brake Switch with shipping.

I have to take he Rift S back to Bestbuy tomorrow, and they have the Odyssey+ there, and it is $100 cheaper! Well,,, onto the next one for that price.

unless I am looking for the wrong product, I dont see a "Valve Index" at any typical retailers,, I seen a couple on Ebay for like$1,400.00? Is that right? If so,,, thats a tad to much $

Hmmm,,,,let me look into those, thanks

Jumped onto the VR scene with Oculus Rift-S, struggled with Clarity,,, figured out it was due to my IPD of about 70-72. Software Adj really didnt cut it. Any who, what are my next step options for a headset that has manual IPD adj? Preferably one that does not need the towers because my work space is very tight. I also realize that whatever the next best option would be will be more $, that is a consideration as well. Thanks,

I love the Huey,,, My Oculus rift S will arrive tomorrow. I have been reading alot about Rift S settings, but they have only been coming from Fast Mover Pilots. Helo flights I would expect to be a bit different to get the ground detail. Can anyone share their Rift S settings relative to Helo flying? I love the Huey,,, My Oculus Rift S will arrive tomorrow. Fakum replied to BluFinBima's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have not flown the A-10 in quite a few years, but as I recall, I never used Helios to make anything the SOI, I had always used the HOTAS as Hammerfly described above. Hope Im not mis-understanding the issue? -
HOLY CANOLI!!!!! My anxiety is thru the roof! I can believe it myself,, ,I pulled the freakin trigger on the LG https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-ultragear-38-ips-led-ultrawide-hd-g-sync-monitor-black/6390310.p?skuId=6390310 I spent 2 more evening trying to find a 38" or even a 34" that was at the height I am accustom too (1600 min). I was strikin out everywhere except for the other LG that was only 60hz etc. I was on the fence with that one. Anywho, as far as I could tell, the newest LG was still on Pre-Order everywhere I looked. BestBuy site stated it was not in stock, but could be delivered by next Tuesday? I went to BB today and hashed this over with them,,, they said Nope! We can get it,,,,well,,,, I ordered it! it sucked up every bit of the store credit I had, with tax and i purchased the 4 year warranty. Now i have to order the GPU somewhere soon. Oh,,, wife doesnt know yet,, I will have to tell her when she gets home cause I need a credit card now to get GPU,,,, which reminds me,,, how come I dont see a special Thread for those needing a good, compassionate about DCS Divorce attorney????

Fakum replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Thrustmaster

[Review] Rel4y's Magnetoresistive Sensor kits for TM Cougar
Fakum replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Thrustmaster
Well, the Antenna Elev is the most problematic. I appreciate the fact that is a simple part, but I have been unsuccessful in finding one. I sure as heck dont know the specs. Can you recommend a place and part #? Thanks,
