Here is something I just read in the Update from yesterday that would seemingly void the need for this mod. "Option for scaling font in radio menu and messages added to System options, Scale Option to change the font size of top left/right messages."

Interesting. I cycled the Mod on and off, and each time it was on, I had no Com menu, but with it disabled, I had no issue. I use this MOD thru JSGME

Todays update broke this MOD, cant bring up com menu with this running.

Welcomed news! I think it is great that there is some new attention to the KA-50. I am pleased that there will be an option for current BS-2 owners to pay a smaller upgrade price instead of having to pay full price for a BS-3 module. Otherwise I would not be happy, like most have stated. Thank you ED

Vertigo72, are you suggesting that the use of Process Lasso is pretty much unnecessary for DCS? I ask because quite sometime ago I installed it to deal with stutterng, and it seemed to smooth it out, then later in time I was experiencing stuttering audio. At a time, Process Lasso enabled resolved the audio issue when enabled, when I disabled it, the issue was present, so I stuck with it. I spent alot of time configuring profiles simply to dedicate 2 of the 4 cores for DCS, and at the time, it seemed to be effective. The audio stuttering has been back for some time and I have been just dealing with it. I have no idea how all this stuff works so I am just letting it go. if I dont need Procees Lasso for DCS, I just assume disable it.

ok, so uninstall from "Add/Remove Programs" does that have a negative impact on Module activation's just out of curiosity? Or do I need to do Deactivation somehow prior to uninstall thru Windows?

Can someone please direct me to the appropriate thread that indicates the appropriate way to uninstall the "Stable" version, but keeps the OpenBeta version intact? Searching has proven futile at the moment, and I ran out of hard disk space to even allow updates. I only use the Open Beta version anyway. Thanks in advance.

Now that is great instructions. Simple to follow, thank you kindly sir. The only thing I found odd was that you mentioned that DCS runs best on 3 cores? My understanding over the years was that DCS primarily ran only one core, and a 2nd was utilized for audio. I’m not saying that is absolute, Im saying that is my current understanding from tons of reading. How does 3 cores come into play? In attrition, if I don’t use PL, what happens to all the other processes, do they continue to use/share the same cores you set DCS too?

Sorry, still lost. I dont even know what".bat" file you are referring to or where it is. The rest is another language to me as well. I have no idea where this stuff is to tinker with. Thanks though

cercata, I did NOT find an easier way unfortunately. I have been following this thread though. Regarding your script, sounds wonderful, however, I have no idea how to implement it or what it all means. I am in no way shape or form a coder.

Well, I solved the issue. 1st off, I found in a bug report that should not use the Altitude and Speed hold outside of clicking the switch from your mouse in the cockpit. If you wish to bind that function to a HOTAS, you are to use the MODE up/MODE down. This certainly worked and I implemented it to my profile and it works just fine. BTN T7 /I /O /P Mode_Down /R Mode_Up BTN T8 /I /O /P Mode_Up /R Mode_Down

It doesnt like "Centering Switch" because there is no Macro for it.
