  1. This is AN AMAZING looking product guys!! Glad to see that all the switches needed for the f-18 are there on the throttle!! This will be completing my set up with my MCG with extenion that just got mailed in today :D One of the feedback I would like to give is it would be nice to have more switches rather than the buttons. :) Also, How much throttle travel will there be once your pasted the idle gate?? and the l3 postions switch on the top right corner, is it really a 3 position switch or is it a ''mode'' switch where you can assign 3 different command to waht looks to might be those 4 switches( which I'm thinking could be assign to f1 to f12 :D) cheers Billy
  2. here is my rough set up and I run DCS at mid graphics and I get steady 40 fps window 7 an oolld fx6300 OC 4.2GHZ 16gb ram gtx 1060 6gb kingston ssd 400go
  3. I LOVE this type of flying with Huey! I wish more people would be interested in that matter even though this community don't like to hear "digital civilian simulator" hehe!! Some slinging work would be great aswell for that matter! I did a civilian mission( that I like to call jobs as its more appropriate with civil world hehe) last winter but it didn't attract too much attention so I just gave up on sharing and discussion about it. Anyways I think its great and really love the idea of operating from a base! By the way cool spot on the picture where is that? I am currently on a contract away from my virtual cockpit but when I get back I'd like to try these!! Cheers Billy
  4. thank you wag for the precise answer. Billy
  5. Hello guys, is there anyone able to answer this question for me; What ype of switch si the weapon select switch? 2 way? 4 way? 4 way+ push? thank you Billy
  6. Thats right you cant! But again!! The trick, dont look your load for a long time. Scan the side and front and just give a quick look at your load every 4-5 second when your on final.
  7. Hey guys! I recently bought an oculus and vertical reference was one of the first Ive tried!! To be honest it is awesome and so close to reality! Like Ben said I open my door and slide myself with the slew view command. I longline in real life and to be honest the only thing that is not accurate is your butt dont feel anything aha!! This is actually really bad for me because it makes me sick very fast! But the trick to be good at longlining is to not stare at your load. Instead look sideways or in front of you and glance youre sight once in a while at your load. It takes a lot of practice! But its doable!! I agree with the FOV being not enough but its still doable. Does it also make you sick guys? I really hope it goes away from me because its been pretty bad lol Billy
  8. I can't say for autorotation but the same thing happenned to me with slingloads.... And as you said, it is quit intetesting to see a container jump around specialy in VR ahah untill it jumps and on you and blow your chopper... That one freaked me out hehe
  9. share your missions once your done!!!!
  10. wow really nice guys!! Did you make a mission out of this? If so I would be interested in flying it :D Cheers Billy
  11. nobody agree with me?
  12. I don't know if it already have been requested but are we going to be a ble to pre record track s to put in our mission on ME? Thanks Billy
  13. The 206 as enough inertia to take off again and do a 180. Don't mixed torque and rrpm tough aha! When the monkey quit, you have no torque at all! You have to remember too that the weight counter balance the fact that their is more inertia in the system. So to create enough lift for that weight you will need to pull a lot of pitch which will create a lot of drag which will result in rrpm lost. So that is my questionning to know how it affects the the rrpm deccelaration when you start pulling pitch for the flare. I'll ask my buddy who flies our 205 to see how it is comparted to the 206! I do have the flight manual for the 205! But its directly on Bell Helicopter website. If you want, send me a pm with which info you want and I'll try sending a bunch of screenshots. I think you would like the normal iperation section. Cheers Billy
  14. Yeah!!! The Huey is just an awesome module!! I love how close it is from reality!! I am aspiring myself for being a Huey pilot one day(or maybe more its civilian equivalent the 205). When I first started using DCS, I wanted to learn to fly fighters jets but bought the Huey too because choppers are the best and I never or barely touched my mirage aha always flying with the Huey. What I would really want to be implemented in it though is, engine damage. There is too many people torquing the Huey at 54 psi and leaving it there for the whole flight aha!! If the right engine could be in the airframe, that would be cool aswell hehe!! I love practicing autorotation in DCS!! It is really realistic(Maybe the RRPM have a tendency to give you more margin than real life. But I only fly 206 in real life so maybe it does have more inertia in the system!! But still all the motion, flapback, altitude velocity chart are pretty damn good!! I like to practive engine failure in such position where in real life it would end up in damaging the aircraft!! It's great for my reflexes and I keep my hand fesh with emergencies since I practice them only once a year at the recurent training!! Anyways how's your autos coming?
  15. 1) if are getting a nose dive when you dump the collective it is simply because you don't pullback on cyclic fast enough. As you drop the collectice you should, at the same time bring the cycle aft 2) in autorotation your reference speed is 60 kts not 80 kts like a lot of guys in DCS seems to think. If you want to reach a further spot ok go pick 80 kts to increase gliding distance but you should never flare at that speed! Flare speed on a Huey is 55-60kts. Otherwise youre just going to float for ever abd won't be able to land without forward speed 3)force trim should always be on so if I'd be you I would get use to fly with it in on position! Keep it up man! And if you want more info son't hesitate!
  16. oh well unfortunetly I don't particuly like big birds such as the mi-8! And I think a 205.. ok sorry the Huey is the best machine to longline :D The bubble widnow in the UH-1H would be great but even if someone is good with 3d modelling I would be willing to pay him to do a froot door off version :D
  17. Really canadianbaken!? I thought it was digital civilian simulator!? :D
  18. Agree with you frusheen! Civilian guys like us are lucky to have eight ball and upuaut! Some more awesome stuff are to come from those two guys and I can't wait for it!!
  19. I support that 100%. Please make it happen!
  20. Unfortunately, I didn't find how to do that.... It is unfortunate that there is not more people interested in the civilian utility side of the Huey! Nevada is such a great place to do all that with red rock park, charleston mountain etc. They're is so many possibilities like firefighting, all sort of longlining, hydro electricity support etc etc. If you guys are like me and enjoy civil Huey heres one mission I made a couple weeks ago if you want to try it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=183893 P.s. I'd be ready to pay lots for a civilian pack Huey(or even a Bell 205 version) with longline with remote hook always on the machine, buble window, a sets of super high skids, a fast fin, bear paws, workable bambi bucket, etc etc. But I know I'm dreaming and it is never going to happen :(
  21. No worries Bigmillertime! And Jeser I dont get what you are trying to say?
  22. Had a blast starting up a chopper madness on the aerobatic server as sierrachop!!!! 15 helicopters goofing around that was a lot of fun aha!! tons of tailbooms and rotor laying on the ramp that was pretty funny!!! who ever was there cheers and comment something down here so we can set something up soon!! Shoot out to adonei for starting a loop contest!! Here's one try that didn't end well :D
  23. Looks like fun!! illl give it a go tongiht!! thanks
  24. Does anyone is planning on working on the boundaries of NTTR tovet more detailed? Or is it even possible .Like getting trees in Sequoi park and the surrounding would be awesome for the chopper guys! Cheers Billy
  25. Yes thanks Jester84! I have the fixed lua scripted for this mission! Let me know what you think about it! Thanks eight ball! When are we going to see your next mission? :D
