Thrustmaster TARGET limitations with MFDs connected
Havner replied to Havner's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have no means of testing this ATM but I do remember that a modified target.tmh posted here helped me with all locking issues. I use it since and don't have those kind of problems anymore. // modified by Home Fries via inputs from Nicu to fix crashes during nested routines. Please try this. File attached for your convenience. Just rename to .tmh And this is the diff: target.txt -
Has anyone tried a curved TV?

Any chance for pdf 1.3? -
1.2.16. Make sure you got your updater working because if you're still on 1.2.9 you won't get updated to 1.5 for sure.

FC3: Training missions in editior but not in Training menu.
Havner replied to Hell0's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Although for a standalone Su-27 module those training missions are properly placed inside the training menu. Only for FC3 they are in single missions while those old videos are in trainig. I suppose it will be the same for F-15C if it ever gets new training missions. -
If anyone has no space or no will to keep two installs you can easily switch from release to openbeta on your current installation with an updater: DCS_updater.exe update openbetaIt will update your current installation and keep it as openbeta from this point onwards. Around 600MB needed to download at this point (at least for me with my modules).

ILS Flight Director Influenced by Course Selector
Havner replied to Joni's topic in Bugs and Problems
Assuming I understand the OP properly I noticed a strange thing. I can reproduce the OP behaviour of yellow needle being dependent on HSI heading as well and I found that strange. But this only happens up to more or less short final (no beacon on batumi where I tested). When you're close to the airport the needle stops being dependent on the heading. So this is even more awkward. Find the track attached where I show this. At the short final when I rotate the heading knob the needle stops reacting to this. Don't laugh at me for the hard landing. I started to learn A10C a week ago... EDIT: I have not read the whole manual yet, so my only reference as to what happens at this point is this thread. A10C-ADI.trk -
Mig-21 added to the file linked in OP.

Appologize if this question has been already answered (hard to read through almost 300 pages). Will the black sea map on EDGE (1.5 or 2.0) have mountain shadows as seen on NTTR?

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/602834/?sphrase_id=1554875 This cockpit mod has the INU/Update described properly (forward shkval, back overfly).

Through TARGET it's trivial. You can detect when the throttle is moved in EventHandle() function. e.g.: if( &o == &Throttle & x == THR_RIGHT ) {...}And then react appropriately. With pressing and releasing the brake (using ActKey()). If you need full code I could write you this, but Monday at the earliest. Without TARGET I have no idea though.

I wrote a simple program that converts DCS keyboard shortcuts to TM TARGET macros. It basically does what Sim2target was doing but works with current DCS and fixes few issues Sim2target had. Also I've tried the output to be as similar to Sim2target's as possible. The LUA part is based on Sim2target scripts, C++ is written from scratch by me. As I'm not really into GUI programming this is just a command line tool compiled using cygwin so there is little point to even post binaries. I think they won't work without Cygwin installed. For the brave the sources are here: https://github.com/Havner/dcs2target For those of you who can't compile it, here are files generated using it on my DCS installation. I have most modules released (I miss Mig-21 and C-101): http://vega.livecd.pl/~havner/dcs/dcs2target_output.zip Two versions of macros are there. One using usb keys remapped to human readable form and one using directly raw USB codes. The non-raw version requires inclusion of lib-usb.tmh header included in the package. EDIT (27.02.2017): The zip file has been regenerated and as of this date it includes all currently released modules.

Whatever :smilewink: I'm just glad it's C variant, not the super hornet. So at least we can fly it. And I prefer it anyway.
-
Maybe a bad assumption but why else would they be giving so unfinished shots of the pit if it were much more complete? So again, everything points to military contract.
-
I wonder what is the new F-18 map and why it has priority even though F-18 is so far back? Military contract? My list of the things I'm waiting for the most: - 2.0 update - Nevada map (so I can finally fly with my beloved BS2 some place else) - Normandy map (as above) And then: - Su-27 PFM - WWII warbirds - and finally F-18 - also multi in one bird might be great, Huey :-) The best newsletter from ED yet. Thanks!

It's standalone. And the download link was exactly the one that doesn't work now :-(

Just edit the missions and unclick external views being forbidden.

Update to Dora Pre-Purchase Annoucement
Havner replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
For me as a person that learned about this KS mess just few days ago this thread is confusing then. It shouldn't state this anymore. -

The very first post of this thread, by Sith. -
Update to Dora Pre-Purchase Annoucement
Havner replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
So what exactly does it mean? That I can choose dora on $40 level but I wouldn't be able on $20? (as the one aircraft)? I'd understand it that I get Dore anyway. Despite 2 other aircrafts I can choose. EDIT: Sith, please clarify, cause if that is not the case then the wording of this annoucement is really poor. -
Update to Dora Pre-Purchase Annoucement
Havner replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I'm confused. I'm 40$ backer. Does it mean I get 2 planes of my choice (as per restructurised rewards, lets say Spit and 109) and Dora as well? 3 in total? -

MFG Crosswind - Review
Havner replied to Flamin_Squirrel's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
MFG Crosswind - Review I received my pedals today and I must admit, this is a remarkable piece of hardware. The smoothness, the configuration options are amazing. With CAM4 flying Huey you no longer feel like you're fighting the center like in a plane. For other needs (plane) you can configure them as you wish. Strong/weak center. Strong/weak spring with bigger deflections. Short of hydraulic ones this is definitely the best thing you can get for flying a helicopter. And there is nothing better for flying a plane. -
Argh, 11th mission is bugged as well. The BMPs travel much faster than the rest of the convoy. And when they arrive at the final waypoint they stop. The problem is that the rest of the convoy immediately stops as well, but they are waaaaay behind. And the triggers are set for one of the slower vehicles to reach the final waypoint. And it never does... EDIT: And another workaround I've managed to finish the mission with. Not guaranteed it will work 100% though as random vehicles tend to get lost along the way.
