What we're doing is using a pythgon converter to turn the SLmodstats.lua into html. https://splash.readthedocs.io/en/stable/internals/js-python-lua.html Once the html is built,t hen you can parse it for the data you want and upload it to your site. I don't know the nuts and bolts of how this is done, as I'm not involved int he coding. But it's all a bit of a ball-ache to get it working. It's a pretty complicated affair to be honest, and not well documented. One thing I've noticed is that DCS server operators seem rather reticent to share how they are generating and posting stats. Everyone seems to be re-inventing the wheel from scratch each time.

Hi Grimes, not sure if this is an SL-MoD issue, or a DCS isue, but Aerial victories (kills) don't seem to be getting counted at all by the SLmod stats right now, since the 2.5.6 patch. DCS is definitely allocation Aerial victories in sim though, but the SL-Mod "kill" column is not being populated.

I cannot reproduce this bug regularly.. it might be something to do with "smoke".. but I don't see it in multiplayer, only SP, and not all the time.

I know ED are aware of the recent 2.5.6 patch issues. I'm just documenting things I find to assist with corrections. At low altitude I am seeing a very ugly yellow-ish haze on normandy under "normal" conditions and a thick black line when there is fog present, which clears as you climb up above about 1500ft. See video below: Images: WITH FOG:

I know ED are aware of the recent 2.5.6 patch issues. I'm just documenting things I find to assist with corrections. Due to the updated freedom of head movement, it is not possible to slide the canopy through the pilot's head. The pilot head position does not restrict as the canopy closes. This results in the canopy glass passing directly through the pilot's eyes.

I know ED are aware of the recent 2.5.6 patch issues. I'm just documenting things I find to assist with corrections. Title is WRONG, it is VERTICALLY displaced.. not horizontal. This bug ONLY shows up in multiplayer. Single player is fine. Static Aircraft (only ww2 ones tested so far) do not sit at the correct vertical location. This is on Normandy map.

I know ED are aware of the recent 2.5.6 patch issues. I'm just documenting things I find to assist with corrections. This is an apparent texture bug with the small rocks/ stones which are on the airfields in Normandy. See image below https://i.imgur.com/g6QS3Hq.jpg

Server updated to 2.5.6. Seems to be stable -
I also report having not seen this problem. I wonder if it is hardware related?

No reference to any ww2 assets in the big 2.5.6 update notes https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/openbeta/2.5.6.43453/

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
philstyle replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
The trailer was entitled 2020 AND BEYOND. So the mozzie can be expected either in 2020, or not in 2020. -
Sorry Grimes, maybe I wasn't very clear or I mis-understood something. Section 5.4 of the SlMod PDF (see image below) says that certain PvP kills do NOT get awarded if the claimant is higher up the food chain than the destroyed aircraft. This is what I would like to disable if possible. I would like all air to air kills to be awarded, irrespective of aircraft type and whether it was PvP, or PvE. That's what I mean by showing the "raw" stats. I mean, awarding all kills, and bypassing these "food chain" kill rules. Can that be disabled? I looked through the various .lua files but couln't find the file/section that seemed to be controlling this "food chain" awards system.

All missions updated to v31. - Mission briefing images added - increased information provided to players regarding AI bomber formations - SL-MoD chat messages reduced - minor weather tweaks - updated some AI routes and altitudes -
Hi Grimes, I'm seeing an issue with SlMod and the WW2 aircraft. See the code below. For some reason, massive numbers of "kills" are being allocated in the "attack" category. Do you know if maybe the WW2 assets break SLMoD, or if something else might be causing the over counting? Also, is it possible to disable the PvP "food chain" for stats collection, and for SLMoD to report all kill stats in raw format? I've been looking through the fw190-A8 skins thread.. and.. my goodness, the whole thread is full of amazing skins. ED, please consider approaching the community for skins on a regular basis to add to the core sim. The quality of material bring produced is amazing, and I bet many of the skin makers would be happy to have their skins used by ED.

Deep Drummer is right. Pilots need to keep an eye on temps and use a bit of boost now and then to keep the Merlin warm. I know a few online pilots who are now adopting this as an SoP when flying in cold weather or up at altitude, or during extended descents. The good leaders like Fenrir and Wiggy are also reminding their wingmen to do the same,. It's new to a lot of people who come from other sims which have much more forgiving aircraft modelling which leads to bad habits and poor airmanship. DCS doesn't cut those corners. You're too kind. I had problems mission mission 3 BEFORE I uprgaded to AMD, and I had the wake turbulence off. Once I got the new AMD system it ran superbly :) But I think turning off wake turblulence was really the determining factor.

Thanks Legion! Very helpful. That makes life a lot easier from a mission-building perspective

Storm of War server. MW50 is restricted for all missions before mid-July 1944, because the FW-190D9 and the BF109K have no place in the Normandy Campaign, certainly before August 1944. However, due to DCS’s financial model, I don’t want to completely exclude players who might only have bought those 1 or 2 modules. So I’ve kept the air-frames in the server, but removed the MW50 performance. I care, I’ve put in a lot of hours work towards building a server that tries to provide a historically based multiplayer environment. I’ve restricted MW50 on the German side, for historical reasons. I should do the same with the allied aircraft if they also do not belong in the historical mix. Getting feedback here is about getting a feel for whether or not the player base sees the P47 D-30 as an acceptable air-frame to include or not. Simply adding the P47 to the server is probably going to take 10 or more hours of work as it is. I want to make the best decision from the outset, so I don’t have to go back and edit them again later on

I'm wondering if we will be able to "nerf" the D-30 to make it perform like the D-25 when it is released (like we can with the german aircraft, by restricting the MW50). Then I can more happily include it in June 1944 multiplayer missions. . . .
