  1. another +1 from me!
  2. This depends on if you have the flight data showing. It would be easy to test in DCS... I might take a look at this sometime this week, if I find some free time!
  3. ED and Ugra do not have a Join Venture. Ugra is a seperate trading entitiy who had/have a service delivery contract with ED to delvier a map, which ED on-sells to its customers. Customers who bought the Normandy map signed T&Cs with ED alone, and not Ugra Media or any other hypothetical "joint venture" entitiy. We do not know the details of the contract arrangement that ED has/ had with Ugra.
  4. Well given that Ugra media is most likely some students and a lecturer running their operation from a polytech, I am not surprised that they don't have much of a customer-service ethic. Listing: https://4science.ru/organization/OOO-UGRA-MEDIA Translated: Full name of organization Limited Liability Company "YUGRA-MEDIA" Head of the organization Mansurov Sergey Alexandrovich Address 628011, Khanty-Mansiysk, Student, house 27, office 505 Address is listed as room 505 in a student block! It's within the Tekhnopark Vysokikh Tekhnologiy https://i.imgur.com/hBA7Udy.jpg Their contact details page still has placeholder text: http://ugra-media.ru/#footer My guess is these guys are cheap-cheap-cheap, which is why they're getting contracts (quality be damned?)
  5. Terrible news. I have flown with Kwaitek on many occaisions, especially in Il2:CloD days. He will be missed.
  6. All, I plan to update the server as quickly as possible on Wednesday night so that we can run missions with the new FW190 A-8 model. I expect to have something up around 19:30 UK time, assuming the patch is released around the normal time of late afternoon. The server will go down tonight (tuesday night, June 4th) in preparation. Please note that we also have a new SRS address, which should be more stable than the one we have been suign for the past few weeks. The new SRS hosting is kindly provided by Redline. alpha.digitalcombatsimulator.world:5002 The new SRS address is also stated in the Server name, which you can read from the multiplayer serverlist. As usual, server updates are also posted on the SoW forums here: http://stormofwar.org/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=29
  7. My DXDIAG file is here, Nineline: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3934066&postcount=7 I am unable to upload it twice
  8. DXDIAG - attached as requested DxDiag.txt
  9. Unlikely. Nothing in BIOS to suggest that power saving is on.
  10. It's definitely not related to bomb drop, we are still 20 km from the target athte point it happens
  11. In also cannot endorse another Ugra-media produced map. The many inaccuracies and the lack of ongoing support for the Normandy map is evidence enough for me not to spend more on like products.
  12. Hi Nineline/ mods, I cannot find a specific place to report this, so I'm posting here for you to move. I have been playing the Big Show Campaing, but DCS has come unstuck for me at mission 3. The FPS tanks severely when thre are large numbers of aircraft in the sky (60+), but strangely no-one else/ few people report this also. My specs: i5 6600k (with mild OC) GTX 1080Ti 16GB RAM DDR3 Both DCS and Windows on SSD I have run the mission in 1440p AND in 1080 now, both resolutions give the same FPS loss. Wierdly, pausing the mission or opening the options menu restors the FPS, the loss only occurs when the mission is "running". . . I made a video of the problem here. This is shot in 1080p, but it rendered in 1440, so excuse the ugly black border. Also, this is unlisted, for the sake of proving this to ED. I will delete the video once I know someone from ED has seen it. My GFX options are here:
  13. I've now run the mission in 1080p, and still it falls over. I wonder now if it is an issue at my end. I have PM'd you a video reflected showing the FPS collapse and some other things.
  14. Can you screenshot your GFX settings page in DCS so I can replicate them on my system? If the FPS still tanks for me, then I will know that it is an issue at my end. If it doesn't tank, then I can work up to see what the culprit setting is.
  15. i5 6600k (with mild OC) GTX 1080Ti 16GB RAM DDR3 Both DCS and Windows on SSD I'm playing in 1440p, haven't tried running the mission in 1080
  16. Have tried playing gthis 3 times now, including with removal of aircraft to improve performance. Unfortunately it's not playable for me, once the 190s show up over the bomber force. I get one frame about every 3 second.
  17. Hii folks, Has anyone else been unable to fly mission 3 due to FPS failure? I get as far as the RV, and soon after the FPS tanks down to less than one frame per second
  18. I don't think this can be ignored. The fact that a 5 or 6mm stick movement with a tyical gaming PC-stick can resault in critical AoA is very important. I personally found the spitfire impossible to handle at 0 curve, with an out-of-the-box stick. This is the reason why. I had people on various forums referring to the "curves" as a cheat! It's bonkers how mis-informed some flight simmers are about the differences between the ergonics of a real aircraft versus a PC setup. Similar can be said for visuals/ spotting/ aircraft identification too. . . .
  19. If anything that's just a warning to anyone considering buying 3rd party maps. In any case, there is no mention of Ugra Media in the agreement we signed with TFC when purchasing the Normandy map. furthermore TFC holds all legal copyright to the map, not Ugra media. Ugra cannot work on the map and make commercial changes to it without TFC's consent. One would think that the permissions go the other way based on the comments from some folks.. . 20. Shame: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3918703&postcount=19 Normandy / DCS WW2, the ugly duckling eh?
  21. Yup. The only relevant air-frame I have is the Viggen. I'm not spending $40 and another 15 to 20 hours learning another aircraft just so someone else has someone to play against. It has nothing to do with "Gallantry"....
  22. That's the excuse I keep giving myself too. Ideally, ED would provide their customers with an update, something a little more convincing than "we're working on it".
  23. Thanks, however I get the feelng that "dogfight" is all that people want to do, and they won't venture online unless others are also dogfighting. It devolves everything down to the most basic level, unfortunately.
  24. I've now put the server up with a mission rotation. If it manages to attarct some players then I will persist with it. However, if there is no demand, I will revert back to just running sunday night missions. I plan to leave it like this until Mid-June to see if the 190 A-8 has an impact.
