Yeah.. navigating in IMC at night is one thing. Being asked to engage hostiles who are shooting at you at night in IMC is another. I would have RTBd early in that mission in the real world. Oh well - it's just a game.

Tracking an FM homing beacon CDI deflection reversed
epolta replied to Sharkku's topic in Bugs and Problems
Glad to see someone else noticed this. Thought I was going crazy but flying ARGO with FM homing and I kept flying 180 degrees off heading until I realized CDI is backwards for FM homing! -
Oculus Debug Tool: Pixels Per Display Pixel Override
epolta replied to Aries144's topic in Virtual Reality
I tried it (the debug tool)... I'm calling Placebo... I cant' tell the difference between it and the in game PD... but if it makes you happy.. go for it! At the end of the day I'm at the point now where I just want to turn of the FPS and play... besides my eyes are probably too old to tell the difference. -
That's exactly what it's for... for passing control between two crewmembers obviously shouldn't be implemented in MiG

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators

Anyone else getting a certificate warning/notification popping up today? It's weird because the cert is only showing valid from 1/16/17-1/23/17 so it should have popped up a long time ago. Everything seems to be working fine once I tell windows to ignore the cert issue. -
Anyone know if this has made it to the official "bug list"? Definitely an issue across the community

Shipment times? Would be interested too... Sent an email asking about shipping estimates and got a response that they would send me a newsletter? Maybe shipments are delayed? Hope not, but sure it will be worth the wait. -

Transducers and amp Can anyone suggest a good transducer / amp combo? I'm looking for something small and compact. The buttkicker sim kit looks good but pretty expensive and when I called they said it will be several months before it's back in stock looking for something with similar capability. Thanks! Enjoying my Jetseat but would like to add a stereo pair of transducers as well to add a little bit more rumble,!

Warthog Throttle out of Idle Detent for Start
epolta replied to epolta's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
think I got it! I just mapped the Ralt Home to the first movement of throttle and that seemed to get it. -
Does someone have a lua file that allows me to move the warthog out of idle detent? It's currently frozen unless I use a keyboard command to move it. I've searched around and don't see anything. thanks for your help!

Guys I did some preliminary testing with my rig tonight (i7 4.2 and 1080 64 gig ram) and I don't see any noticeable improvement in frame rates down from 2.0 to 1.5. I noticed slightly degraded visuals on 1.5, but without any major frame rate improvements I'm having a hard time justifying staying at 1.5. In the Mig-21 cold start i'm steady around 40-50 fps on the ramp, and on the Mirage cold start I'm seeing around 50-90 depending on where I'm looking - and that's both on 1.5 and 2.0. In the A-10C instant action (first one) I generally get around 90 - down to 50 depending on where I'm flying, but it's the same at 2.0 and 1.5. I only play SP, so that may be the difference, but I don't see any increased fps at 1.5. How do you guys recommend testing this?

Got my seat! Thanks Andre! Seat arrived quickly minus 4 days sitting in U.S. customs  Played most of yesterday with it and it is AWESOME. The helos are the best and the Huey might be my new favorite!! Thanks Andre for the great product and support! Any news on Viggen support?

Dear oculus rift cv1 users. Is it really worth it!
epolta replied to boedha68's topic in Virtual Reality
"Rift Hair" So what's everyone doing to prevent that nasty crease down the middle of your head? After a few hours I look like I've got a bad 70s part down the middle of my head, and my wife is threatening to paint it white while I'm sleeping (its' already turning gray)... LOL What to do? First world problems, ... I know, I know. -
Ordered today Thanks for making this and being so responsive to questions here on the forum. Just ordered today from Little Rock, Arkansas, USA! Looking forward to getting it. Will be using with VR (Rift). Can't wait to see the expression on my wife's face when she sees me sitting on this with the oculus on my head.

FPS issues - especially in VR Add me to the list of folks with severe FPS hits - especially when in VR. The Viggen is the worst offender, but I'm seeing a slight decrease in 1.5.6 across all modules, and there is definitely a zoom bug in VR that adds to the very severe case of judder. I enjoyed my time in the viggen, but I rolled back to stable, because FPS is crucial in VR. My rig is i7 with 64 gig ram, and 1080GTX running of SSD, so I doubt these issues are limited to only my rig. As mentioned before the training missions were brutally low FPS.
