yes and yes. I put the MFG extension on my new Virpil T50 base. It was a little snug putting it on, but by no means did I have to force it. However, I can not remove it now. It's definitely on there and I doubt I can get it off without some serious force. I'm afraid I may damage the gimbal so for now it will be a permanent fixture on my T-50 base.

Tried the downloaded mission and same issue persists. While sitting in chocks lead tells me to leave formation and intercept while still completing engines startup. Seems to skip ahead somehow.

Ooops! just read above my post. I'll try the updated mission file!

Hello, Just updated to latest open beta today and attempted M10 Escort Duty. Upon entering cockpit and getting radio checks on Green and Red another conversation starts. During that conversation I hear my lead and character begin discussing leaving orbit and getting radar lock on another target while I'm still sitting in the chocks? The only option I have is for F10 menu to report to my flight when ready for taxi. It appears the mission is jumping way ahead while I sit in chocks to get engines running. thanks!

Samsung Odyssey VR Headset Revealed with “Anti-SDE” Display
epolta replied to rjetster1's topic in Virtual Reality
returned original odyssey...Couldn't find and keep sweet spot adjusted and had poor luck with WMR motion re projection. Sounds like they've tweaked the WMR re projection and this version of the headset has some comfort adjustments. just ordered this one. Ships week of 2 Nov. Will post back my results here if anyone cares. If this one doesn't work for me I guess I'll bite the bullet and go with the Vive Pro :) -
You may have to re calibrate in WMR application?

I don't know...if you speak English it's pretty apparent... basic RF Theory requires you to be on the same frequency as the party you are trying to communicate with... I think this application requires you to have a basic understanding of that..I also think it is beyond the scope of the manual for him to have to explain that to everyone... My.02 cents

Pg 18 of the manual Note: Keep in mind that for e.g. WWII-era aircraft with basic radio systems typically only a small number of preset frequencies can be used. These frequencies are set by the mission designer. You can only reach recipients that match these pre-programmed radio frequencies. The same goes for example for using JTAC. With a PRO license you can engage with JTAC from any aircraft, but the JTAC frequency/modulation type set in the mission editor must be suitable to be tuned by the aircraft radio system.

Samsung Odyssey VR Headset Revealed with “Anti-SDE” Display
epolta replied to rjetster1's topic in Virtual Reality
No SDE will be nice (although I have to admit it was greatly reduced with the original Odyssey). I'm more looking forward to the "improved comfort" and hoping that it will be easier to adjust to find the sweet spot. I had to return my original Odyssey because i couldn't get it to stay in the sweet spot. Hoping the ergonomics on gen 2 are better! -
thanks!

I bet you're right! I've been hitting refresh and even though press release says available yesterday they are nowhere to be found. -
Samsung Odyssey VR Headset Revealed with “Anti-SDE” Display
epolta replied to rjetster1's topic in Virtual Reality
I'm interested.... Tried the original odyssey and loved the screens, but couldn't get the sweet-spot adjusted. The "improved comfort" appeals to me and gives me hope that I might be able to get it better adjusted. The original screens were miles ahead of the rift, but with anti SDE screens this could be a huge improvement! anxiously awaiting this. I think I'll order! -
Samsung now announcing Odyssey PLUS. Anti SDE screen and improved comfort? I may have to give the Odyssey another shot. Maybe the sweet-spot will be bigger? https://www.cnet.com/reviews/samsung-hmd-odyssey-plus-preview/

delete the file. Uninstall any mods and do a DCS repair? I'm out of ideas if that doesn't work.
-
Needles to say.. They were happy... and I was happy!!
-
After you deleted the file did your default head position change? If if didn't, you may have the wrong file. If the default position did change, than we just need to figure out why it's not actually saving.
-
I've noticed this issue too. I've found that sometimes I just have to delete my default views LUA in saved games and start over again. Kind of annoying, but not the end of the world. I guess this file maybe gets corrupted or something, but deleting the file and restarting seems to work. Obviously after you delete the file your head positions will be defaulted, but it's easy enough to move them and hit Alt 0 to save again.

I just wanted to post an update here. Earlier this week due to a CUSTOMS issue, my Virpil order was re-routed and I received a different package than Virpil shipped me. It was very confusing for all involved but Virpil resolved the issue and got my original package re-routed to me here in the U.S. with only a slight delay. I wanted to update the original posting here, but Alas it was deleted. In faireness to Virpil I though it only appropriate to repost that the outcome was positive and Virpil even refunded my shipping expenses. Needless to say I'm a lifelong supporter now, and I have in fact ordered an additional stick top from them. As I previously posted, I believe this forum is a place for folks to share experiences good/bad/indifferent so that everyone can make informed decisions about their purchases. I always hate to see posts deleted - but so be it. anyways, enough rambling... Go buy Virpil products! the T-50 base feels like a force feedback setup to me.. simply unbelievable precision and feeling. Absolutely blows the Warthog base away, but while I primarily bought if for better longevity, the feeling of feedback it provides was really a pleasant surprise to me. cheers:thumbup:

LOL, and in some cases standing on one foot, jumping up and down and quickly reaching down to touch your toes... yeah that works 10/10 times.
-
Is there now, or will there be in the future, any capability to send a different button push using a push and hold function. For Example using the upper right 2 way on the MT50 stick for forward short and forward long to do a different action - similar to how warthog boat switch can be used in A-10c module? thanks!

tracking numbers have yet to see a tracking number posted... enjoy your day.

We must agree to disagree So we can only post topics that will appeal to all? If no other person will benefit we shouldn't discuss? weird....

first world problems People are asking about shipments, and sometimes enquiring minds want to know. complaining about people excited about getting their orders and having to endure a notification about that in a user forum is definitely a case of "first world problems". I can think of many better things to complain about.... but that's just me.
