  1. I think it makes a lot of sense. The rio and pilot can directly know the bogey is 10 degrees off their nose. Reading that it's bearing 175 doesn't tell you anything until you've checked your bearing and calculated the difference.
  2. While starting up I noticed I would take off from the opposite end of the runway as to what was indicated on BANA/GRÄNS. I haven't flown in a while but I remember the procedure being to go to BANA/GRÄNS and pressing LS/SKU to change. When I tried that I got the CTD, happened a second time because I thought it was a random crash. This was yesterday after the update.

  4. Yesterday I couldn't find the thumbwheel press binding. Did I miss it or is it not available? The training mission talks about it to engage manoeuvring flaps instead of moving the flaps handle.

  9. I was going to make that order when the release date was public. Guess I won't be now.
  10. Is Chuck's guide still valid then? I realized we might not have been on the same radio frequency or have setup the radio correctly.
  11. I was trying it for the first time with a friend yesterday and followed Chuck's guide but we could not get it working. The lights for the buttons didn't illuminate or anything. No indication that the transmission failed but no successful indication for my wingman either. We double and triple checked our switches.
  12. I feel like flying level over uneven terrain isn't a very good idea if you want accuracy. For accuracy you want to be diving. When flying level like that it's going to be very sensitive becase you're traveling at relatively high speed and milliseconds are going affect the point of impact. You also have the uneven terrain making the cross jump up and down which means you can't be sure the cross is relative to the height of the target.

  18. There's usually a switch to control if both are ejected or just the back seat.

  20. I was able to try it again today and it worked fine. I think there is a state where you get this behaviour though. Sometimes I get bad locks, I press TV and the crosshair jumps but doesn't really manage to lock. It can still be slewed but will just bump and away from objects. This is fixed by pressing T0 and T1 again. This is speculation though, I haven't tested this enough
  21. So as I've been learning the HARM I've been annoyed by something. The Offset mode of the RWR is extremely necessary to see which target you've selected but so many times I see the targets piled on top of each other on the HUD even though the offset mode is selected. If I toggle it on and off it's showing as I expect with them spread out. Is this a bug?

  23. I'll try again tonight. As I remember it though the sight goes dark after you fire to force you to toggle the safety bracket. I'm sure I've gone back to T0 and T1. But I'll try again and see if it works.
  24. Just wanted to check if this is known or if anyone else had this issue. A few days ago I was flying and firing RB75 but I only managed to lock a target once and fire and subsequent attempts to lock just made the crosshair bump off the target. It was impossible to place the crosshair over a unit after the first missile. I feel like I have seen a thread about this but I thought that was fixed.
