I really agree. The crashes and erroneous behaviour is the most annoying to me. If you've spent 15-20 minutes to gather buddies and you've gotten into the air and the game crashes then it's a huge disappointment. The same with the mission editor. I've had it corrupt one of my missions. That's work just wasted. About performance, well DCS is a very niched game and the point is to have high fidelity simulations. Of course the game should be improved if possible but it should be understood that it's not always possible.

Then it's probably most helpful if you can post a trackfile when it happens.

Sometimes people are happy to pay money for things they like. Sometimes people are unsure about if something is worth paying for. A free period helps them make up their made and calm their anxiety on whether to buy or not. So it's a nice experience.

Have you checked the bindings so no axis has double assignment? It's a common issue that rudders for example at set default to both rudder and roll.

Played earlier with the SU-33 for free. A few hours later DCS won't even start. Just starts loading but seems to crash. Tried to run the repair, didn't help Log attached. Really, the forum doesn't allow .log files so you have to change it to .txt... Hmm dcs.txt

Does it have to go all the way to max and back? I feel like it should work like other throttles where you just have to go from cutoff to idle. But I do remember that I've had trouble if I don't go all the way to max.

The release is most likely not in 2019 but I'm guessing maybe end of October or sometime during November. I highly doubt they are releasing it on the 7th.

Was just starting up the Viggen in Single Player, started my own mission(attached). And got the error in the imagine. Pressing OK showed more memory errors like this one, maybe 2 or 3 more. Image says "The instruction at 0xfdb91989 referenced memory at 0xffffffff. The memory could not be read." mp_play_all.miz

So I was playing around in the mission editor and I tabbed out to pause a youtube video I had going in the background and when I went back to DCS the cursor was invisible. It worked but I couldn't see it. So I turned off DCS but the cursor was still invisible even in Windows. In the taskbar I can still see a DCS icon but it's not clickable and there is no DCS process running. Something messed with graphics. I'll include a dxdiag output. I have a second monitor that is still working as intended.

So I was having fun in the mission editor which I'm new to. I started trying the MAP, SATELLITE, ALT buttons at the bottom. DCS froze and after a while I got an error message about a memory problem. My computer rebooted. When I tried to open the mission again I couldn't find it in the list but if I still tried to open the mission just based on the name then I got the loading screen but it made no progress at all. Can the .miz-file be salvaged? Anyone got any tips?

So I've just started trying to make my own missions and the idea is to have a simple mission where I can mess around with friends. I thought it would be cool if you could have the client airframes spawned on the ramp even if no one has chosen it. So you have a visual of what's available. Is this possible? Thanks

We got the word "Live", a date and a time. It doesn't seem very ambigious to me.

What do you expect them to do? Just have the stream and nobody is going to know about it? It seems probable it's to show us something close to the final product and open up pre-purchase.

When you are on the ground you're not using the radio, you're using intercom or something. When you take off you need to press the bind for the radio buttons. For me I believe it's been RAlt + \ and RCtrl + \

Big maps don't really require more computing power, just more storage. If it's done right.

Bindings reset to default So I just jumped in the Hornet after having a break for maybe a week or two. I started an instant action free flight to test my memory usage since I recently reduced my page file and noticed DCS crashed when I tried to join multiplayer. My weapons wouldn't fire which I though was strange and noticed all my bindings are reset to the default. What? Why? How? Was this due to some update? I flew the Viggen yesterday but I doubt they were reset out of jealousy. I did also fiddle with SRS as there was an update, extracted files to my SRS folder in the DCS folder. I also replaced the script file in Saved Games as advised when updating SRS. Kind of a disappointment

Tried to join today with direct IP and could not, asked for help on Discord but no luck. I use none of the AV softwares. I do however use VPN if that matters.

Is your friend running the same version of DCS as you?
