Me, in my Mustang on Burning Skies, fairly regularly. And with great success, by the way :) -
Honest question, why does the Mustang sound so extremely different in DCS from nearly every YouTube video or a real Mustang on YouTube? The DCS Mustang is so smooth at idle, but from all the videos I've seen, it has more of a snappy seperation to each stroke. Just one example to show what I mean: Also, is the startup or engine dynamics entirely accurate in DCS? I have never ever struggled to start the Mustang in DCS. It feels very linear, like I could start the Mustang with sound muted and while blindfolded. The engine will even start to fire with the magnetos off, before six blades pass in front of my vision. Is there any nuances that could be added to starting the carbureted WWII aircraft? I've never gotten an answer from anyone regarding this question, not for two years of asking, there hasn't been a word. [emoji20]

What variant of Spitfire? I highly doubt it was the IX, or even a Merlin-powered variant. If this is true, I can only imagine a Griffon Spitfire would be able to reach such speeds. Edit: Nevermind. Golly. Very rash thing to do, particularly in a Spitfire. I wonder how the control surfaces didn't tear away. I'll also point out that airspeed indicators of the time were not entirely accurate.

What? I haven't seen anything for the 153. And that wouldn't fit in the current scheme of DCS WWII at all.

Giving this a bump. I have heard cooling is getting an overhaul in the warbirds, down the road. I don't want this to be missed. -
I share that boat. I would rather fly a more historic scenario that a chaotic kindergarten mashup.

Yeah. Getting the K4 and D9 in DCS was a ridiculous decision. Something like the 190A8 (which we're getting thank God, that will be an insta-buy for me) or the 109G6 would have been far more reasonable.

I finally got back to my laptop and this lua does not exist. You didn't even say what you mean by mount. I need help getting any textures to mount on the Mustang. The entire thing is a missing texture. If this model viewer will not work, I can't take this new feature (and thus MV2) seriously. If you can help me, Skate, PLEASE increase your word count, and not be as vague in your answers. At this point, I'm open to any potential help. If I can't use the ModelViewer, it makes livery creation remotely from my gaming rig more difficult and cumbersome.

There is also Steel Balls (which really really deserves more players from American/Canadian players), Blue flag, and Storm of War. Storm of War is by far the best WWII server, but it's only on periodically, being a squadron-oriented server. However, you might catch it on Sundays.

Anyone else notice that the undercarriage is bugged on multiplayer? Also, the cockpit doors do not seem to open either. My friend was goofing with it, and I didn't see a thing.

I still want something like this. I would pay a bucketful for a map with an exotic landscape. It would be a dream fulfilled to fly in the floating Hallelujah Mountains from Avatar! And helicopter pilots would love this map especially [emoji16]

Idk about the server. The server creator can create a pack of a bunch of liveries and have people download it if they want. I'm talking about custom liveries that only you and your buddy (someone else who installed your livery and vice versa) can see

Ummm...excuse me...but I believe my title for this post got changed from “unfinished” to “finished”. Which is clearly not the case. Even if there is no more content to add, there is still optimizing to do.

Is it too much to ask that we get the ability to change liveries of our aircraft from the ground crew menu? I'd love that, especially since me and my wingman have our own custom liveries, and would not just be able to see our hard work, but more easily recognize each other.

I think the A8 would fit, perhaps. Maybe not for D-day, but in the days following.

I wanted to create starter trolleys (or accumulator?) that would appear when ground power is called for in the warbirds. I want to position the plug and door (on the plane, that pops out) so it will look right. I actually had modeled a trolley, a little over a year ago, but when I ran into errors trying to export, I scratched it. Now EXACTLY what I've been wanted to do for a while now has been done by the A-4 mod, so I've had a rekindled hope for this. -

Well, frankly, there is no need for long range escort missions. The fuselage tank doesn't serve a neccessary function right now. That would also explain why not many people (including myself) have noticed it. We never use the fuselage tank. Still, yeah. This should be fixed by now.
