  1. Nah, I think I have 13 or more USB connections at any given time. The bus can handle the data - you just have to have sufficient power, and the bus itself won't likely be able to power all your devices, so an independently powered hub is needed. I think that's all that is required.
  2. Hard to say until there are actual benchmarks I would guess. Also, depends on how many cores and, for DCS, when Vulcan comes out how well we get to use extra cores if I read the leaves right.
  3. Fair enough, perhaps, but it wasn't raining either.....
  4. Yeah, so I did mention it was daytime, and the streetlamps aren't going to be on, so kthxbye..... :P
  5. So, I couldn't find a thread about this....but my 65D would rather lock onto streetlamps - during the day - than a tank. I don't know much about street lamps and how tempting a signature they would be if they were on at night, compared to a legit target. But I'm pretty sure during the day, when they're off, they shouldn't be.
  6. :megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol::megalol:
  7. I've been fine with my 1700x and might upgrade next year, although now that I think about it I have no reason to. Nothing I play is noticeably CPU bottlenecked, and with a 1080ti I'm getting great frames with every game. Huh.
  8. Woah. I would be very cautious about using compressed air to clean any optics. I know for rifle scopes that is absolutely verboten, as the compressed air may force its way past seals and damage internals, as well as damage lens coatings. I don't know if there are any applied lens coatings going on in VR headsets, but I would follow your manufacturers instructions on cleaning to the letter, rather than rely on 'Wikihow'.
  9. Don't you normally have to pay taxes in your own locality? When I buy from the states I don't pay whatever taxes they might charge in the states.... but, ftr, sales tax in Canada varies province to province, typically between 13 and 15% in combined federal and provincial tax.
  10. I'm glad you got PG with the Viggen, as Nevada doesn't have a lot of ships to blow up when you decide to get into weapons employment ;)
  11. Yeah, I thought the falling through the Stennis deck error was patched, but I'm falling through the aft port elevator with helicopters and harrier again.
  12. Is it just me, or did they buff the GAU-8, or change the damage model? I haven't flown the A-10C much for a while, but yesterday I took it for a spin and ran down at a MBT and did 50% damage with 1 burst. Normally I would do something like 10%. Next two bursts were about 25% damage each. Was I just on target, or has something maybe improved?
  13. I was wondering, with a 1080ti (and a Zen 1700X), what is the range of fps I would be looking at with either unit? I know settings play a major role, I'm just interested in a rough range.
  14. Yeah Fargo, you're not wrong. Hell, even enabling other players to man the sideguns would be something.
  15. So does radar look through buildings/trees atm?
  16. Well, that might have been a problem before, but they had RIOs hitting F14 pilot switches and it wasn't breaking anything afaik, except for a few pilots' patience.
  17. I had a bug, once, where the cable stuck to my hook, wouldn't disengage and even lifted up when I raised my hook, but I haven't had that bug since.
  18. I'm wondering if there has been any news on this front? I guess it's really a question for ED, and not for Deka, as it's not really Deka's fault. I also bought both the SU-27 and 33. Frankly, if the J-11 was available as a standalone I might have bought that too, but I really am not interested in anything else from FC3. I just don't understand ED's policy. They aren't going to get my money if they don't offer the module.
  19. Actually, it's my bad, I didn't look at the forum to realize I was in the asset pack forum, thought I was just in wishlist :P
  20. I'll go out on a limb here and say "no." Nothing that recent is going to be declassified enough such that any developer will get accurate enough information to produce a DCS quality module. Especially Eastern block hardware. DCS will always be about quality modules and that means it will always be restricted to older, declassified aircraft.
  21. When they finally release this, it will be a good day.
  22. Is it true the Reverb isn't available in Canada for now?
  23. Sorry, bit of a necro here, but just to be clear, if you bind in DCS to the Engine Cutoffs, it will start when you move it out of the off position, over the detent, into the idle position. I actually have no idea if it shuts off the engines, although presumably it does, but I'm not sure if I've ever done a proper shutdown with any of the planes that have this mapping. Occasionally, for some unknown reason, I have to move it back and forward a second time for it to register, whether that's on my throttle or DCS I don't know.
