  1. Plus it's another helo. Who doesn't want another helo?
  2. Man, I could put a roll of quarters into that game.
  3. The pinky switch on my WH grip seems to be going, it display multiple press/releases on a single press for me. I use it for NWS on most craft and it can be hard to get just one press out of it. I know ED has better things to do, but maybe sometime a limit could be put on press frequencies, perhaps only 4 presses of any given button per second? I can't think of any button, off hand, we ever need to press more frequently than that? Just wishful thinking, I don't want to have to figure out how to replace that button :)
  4. In my experience there is no adhesive, not even the very mild adhesive on painter's tape, that won't mar the finish on a hardwood floor if it's left on long enough. If your pedals are up against a wall, presumably, you are better off putting a cleat on the baseboard to hold down the front edge if you are that worried about movement/tipping. That or attach them to a platform as someone else suggested and use weight on the platform to achieve some stability. When I first got the Crosswinds I found them prone to tipping, but with time that isn't something that I feel anymore.
  5. Can reproduce after ejecting after getting shot down.
  6. 7:10 in that vid, why do we see a hook down I wonder?
  7. DCS doesn't always allow the user folder luas to override the dcs folder settings is one problem. I'm looking at you, F-18 strokesdefs...even though it doesn't overwrite my modded file, it just ignores it and I have to edit the openbeta folder lua every update.
  8. On some particular aircraft I might fiddle with the in-game settings, other than that I use weakish springs and a smooth center detent cam which suits the helos, and I just have to check the ball a little more often in my planes to make sure I'm not wandering too much.
  9. Yeah it works fine, just bind the buttons in DCS to engine cutoff. No editing required.
  10. I'm still CTDing fwiw.
  11. Hmmm, maybe can reproduce, I hadn't discovered what was causing my CTDs...
  12. This I can't wait for. Some RIOs have way too developed senses of humour.
  13. It would also make sense to me if there were simple numerical keybinds for each Jester command. Frankly, it would be a lot faster if you knew a given command was 2,4,3 or whatever. I can take my hand of my stick for the .5s it takes to hit a few keys on the keypad, and would rather that than the several seconds it takes to try to navigate the wheel which also blocks my view. It's a case where old school is just far more functional than the modern highly graphical interface.
  14. Also, did it stop working after the patch, and you have been un-bound?
  15. You can also make the F18 exports less fuzzy by modifying MDG_strokesdefs.lua in the F18/cockpit/scripts/multipurpose_display_group/common/indicator folder.
  16. All I really need is the Hind and then I think I won't need anything else until we get a Chinook or Stallion, maybe the Falcon though....oh, and the Corsair.... but then I'll have everything I need!
  17. I also have a WH grip on a VKB base, a little while ago after numerous unsuccessful attempts at cleaning connections and rebooting the firmware, I walked the firmware back to the version that I got when I first had the stick working and it instantly settled down perfectly. Prior to that I had to re-calibrate once or twice every DCS session.
  18. Don't worry, you're not alone ;) Otherwise, nice vid!
  19. Yeah, haha, just noticed my throttle does that wiggle a bit too. Nothing to see here.
  20. Huh, now why did I think LANTIRN wasn't implemented yet.....Jester LANTIRN available?
  21. We are waiting for LANTIRN but it's complete enough for tonnes of fun. I'm sure by the time I have mastered my Case 1 and AAR it will be fully finished.
  22. I wouldn't keep doing that until you figure out what is going on. Whether it's a foreign object, or a wire that is catching, you might do some avoidable harm to your throttle. I'd gently disassemble and take a peek.Something is rubbing between the two throttles on the bottom side of the pivot pushing the bases away which is why the top jerks towards the other throttle, I think.
  23. To spare you a lot of frustration, imo the trick to the Ka-50 is constant trimming, or it will fight you.
  24. Shiny.
