  2. I have no problem flying Apache in the state as it is at the moment. (Because I get used to it). BUT I hope on every patch/update that we will see a progress in the flight modeling. Because I love and enjoy the DCS Apache. It’s just really a long time since we saw some improvements /changes. Or has it something todo with the flightmodel of the CH-47? Like newer methods/ techniques in programming for the flightmodels are now tested/ implemented?
  3. It is showing the distance for Tacan. You need to switch it from R (receive) to T/R (track and receive). - in FD hit the button for return -in this menu where u enter the tacan code, switch on the left side from R to TR. -u will see the distance in to the slected tacan station
  4. i know, but if you do this, u dont give any signal to the flightcomputer. U just give your stick a new centerpoint, but the flightcomputer dont know what to do. So the hook will pitch up and down and its hard to stabilize it in forward flight. U understand what i mean ? I tried with my rhino and also with my gunfighter (no ffb) stick. it feels for me that the flight with trimming the gunfighter, the helo is much more stable in forward flight.
  5. Thats not the same. The question was if its possible to trimm the chinnok with a ffb stick like all the other helicopters in DCS. And BiG Newy was talking around this question.

  8. The needed hardware is expensive. Shure. But DCS focus is on realism. It’s not a game . It’s a simulation. (with just a few simplified systems) If you want to fly more arcade mode and don’t want spend so much money than DCS is maybe the wrong “game” for you . Don’t expect that the devs make the flight models more easy/arcadish just because some people want to “play” with an Xbox controller.

  10. Because the immersion and the feeling of flying gets 1000% better with good hardware. I’m using since a year a Rhino FFB stick…. And flying the F4, F14, helos or warbirds is an entirely new World of feeling and immersion.
  11. i maybe i have a tip for you and @heatblur : I recognized something similar 2 times now. After i was doing a mission with the F4e Phantom , i started a quick mission with the F-14 Tomcat. In the Phantom the FFB was all allright, but after switching to the Tomcat the Stick (Rhino) was completely limb and there was no trim force, just the force off AOA (shaking) was working. After a complete DCS restart the FFB in the Tomcat was working again as intended and all was fine. I had this now for the 2nd time. (Maybe a problem with DCS or the Tomcat, i cant say. But maybe it will help.
  12. When i kill the F5 wit guns , DCS will crash immediely .

  14. After setting your axis . Loom down , there is a button called axis. Open it and set your axis to revers . And make check the point for slider Why so many people don’t know , how to set axis and bind buttons properly ?
  15. I real live condition, the wind will change every second. So your trim reset will be somewhere after a few minutes, but not there where the Apache is stable. Hold down the trim button and make really fine adjustments. That’s all.
  16. I believe u are too heavy . And u are above 90% tourge. over 90% the altitude hold will kick off immediately when moving the collective. Under 90% u got more room for movement.
  17. Try to Aim for the Plattform were the crane is mounted.
  18. He complains that George can’t climb in a hover. And that’s the 2nd picture where it shows 109% tourge. So the Apache is over his limit.
  19. You are to heavy ! Look at the tourqe. It says 109% in yellow . He can’t climb in a hover with this weight.

  21. The squeezing is not holding down the trim button ! Ist’s just shortly relaxing his hand from pushing the stick . you can clearly see the he is depressing the trimmbutton just 5 or 6 times in the whole video .
  22. Can’t believe that headblur is unable to reproduce this bug…. It happens everytime with the 1st flight with the f-14 after starting DCS. After restarting the mission it’s fine again.
  23. Which Controller ? Don’t use the windows calibration. Use the calibration tools from the controller manufacturer. windows will fck up most of the calibrations … and if u have just a really tiny bit of sliding to the left. Increase the deadline of this axis till the sliding stops
