When gun is fired, shouldn't we see ejected casings from the plane? Where does the sabre release the casings IRL?

there is undocumented new logic for ai warbirds in the patch. ai does some energy dogfighting. before, i could easily kill any ai with spitfire. now it extends and do a chandelle or flat instantaneous turn for a head on pass.
-
.it bleeds albeit very very slowly. it took ages to drop it by 100 psi. lots of flap operation.
-
it was not in the changelog. i found out by chance. but you may observe the behavior by setting up a mission with two ai planes. one spitfire against a mustang maybe.
-
last update, they introduced a new behavior for faster ai planes. for example a p51 will try to extend away from a spitfire for a while then turn for a head on snapshot pass.

has anyone tried dogfighting the corsair? it flies like it has thrust vectoring. it does things. in head on passes, it tends to go vertical and it catapults into sky. at the end of climb it begins to favor one circle but even with low speed it outturns me. it is even deadlier than ai spitfire. and feels wrong.

Nevada's shadows on mountains
bephanten replied to Ladan's topic in DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range
time lapse here. there are parts of the mountain in the background, that do not react to sun position. those are baked shadows since there is no real geometry to cast shadow. -

Baked shadows. Old tech. Abandon ware. -
During cold start, I forgot to turn on fuel pumps and heli started up just fine with low fuel pressure warning. Is this how it should be? Can solely switching on battery provide fuel for Apu and engines?

Only thing I didn't like about ch assets is they didn't have visible interiors. -
when you click the release button, the button on the throttle should "click". check for the animation of the button on throttle lever. other than that, its a straightforward process.

cabin lights switch does not function. you can test this by switching to third position sitting in the cargo cabin. also, when flood lights are on at night time, the cockpit in external view is still dark.

Feedback Thread - Phantom Patch 17-04-2025
bephanten replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Could you make a video or a white paper like ed does about the pneudraulics changes? It would make the text more meaningful. -
would like to see the same setup, with player controlled plane as target.
