That’s probably different for everyone, if I look at the basket I always get oscillations when I get close to the basket.
-
Also, what ever you do NEVER look at the basket except with your peripheral vision. If you do you will cause pilot induced oscillations. Good youtube AAR tutorial:

Almost exists already. I made a fictional swedish skin for the hornet with similar camo. shoudn't be to hard to modify it. Do you have more pictures of this Viper? My swedish honet skin: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303014/ -
No, they are not that big. The F-14 liveries will be somewhere around 60MB. You are probably thinking of the template files. They are around 3.8GB

Actually, the button activates the visor and the Magic.

Or you can just remove the country entry in the lua file and it sill be avaliable for all countries. -
Thanks! I have tried both text and numbers, same result I’m afraid. I’ll check my filenames again and if that don’t help then I will recreate the lua file.
-
I have tested it a bit, but cannot get it to work. My Lua file looks like this, does it look correct? {"HB_F14_EXT_01", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_01",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_01", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_01_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_02", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_02",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_02", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_02_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_03", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_03",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_03", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_03_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_04", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_04",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_04", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_04_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_TAIL_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_LEFT_01", 0 ,"HB_F14_WING_LEFT",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_LEFT_01", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_WING_LEFT_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT", 0 ,"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT",false}; {"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_WING_RIGHT_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANKS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANK",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANKS", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_DROPTANK_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXRAILS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXPYLONS",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXRAILS", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_PHOENIXPYLONS_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS_01",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_PYLONS_01_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_TCS", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_TCS",false}; {"HB_F14_TCS", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_TCS_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_RIO_HELMET", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_RIO_HELMET", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_HELMET_RoughMet",false}; {"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_SUIT", 0 ,"HB_F14_EXT_PILOT_SUIT",false}; {"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1", 0 ,"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1",false}; {"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1", ROUGHNESS_METALLIC ,"HB_F14_LOD1_3in1_RoughMet",false}; }

Thank you! I will try this as soon as I get home :-)

Could it be that the lua file have gotten corrupted? I read some where that editing the lua files with notpad could cause this and that you should use notepad++ instead. Do you think this could be the issue?

Hi! I have a little problem with the RoughMet for the TCS and the Pylons. The diffuse layer works just fine but it won’t accept the roughmet. I have checked so the filename matches with the name in the Lua file. Should that layer be named differently to work? I’m not at my computer now so I cannot post the text in the lua file right now. Have anybody had this problem or do you know what I am doing wrong?

On wor on when the paint kit is being released yet? -
Yea, I remember hearing him say that in a podcast a few weeks ago.

Since I programmed my X56 in the Logitech software instead of in DCS I haven't had the problem again.
-
Tested this some more and the issue came back after a while. Testimg to program the X56 in the logitech software instead and have cleared all the flight stick and throttle command in game. I only had time for a short test now but i worked. Doing a more thoreough test this evening.
-
Yea, I agree with you, but 15 minutes was all I had to spare this morning :-) I’m going to test it properly this evening.
-
I'v done some more testing. Followed the suggestion from Joey45 and deleted the inputs for F-14 in the save game folder. I then removed all bindings to the X-56, except for nosewheel steering and wing sweep (moved those to the stick instead of the throttle). I flew 15 minutes without any incident. Then paused the game and bound all the buttons on the throttle to gear down and flew another 15 minutes, also without incident. After this I reprogrammed all the buttons to the stick ant throttle to what they were before and flew some more, again no incidents. I will test some more, but so far it looks like removing the inputs from save game folder might have solved it.
