What hardware are you running DCS on? I found that going from 1.5.8 to 2.5 that 2.5 was running better on my computer than 1.5.8. Why dont you just download 2.5 open beta and see how well it runs on your system? You can have both installed at the same time.

Have you tried to repair the game?

Just tried it again without retracting the launch bar this time. Unfortunately it didn't work. Also tried to repair the game, but that did not help either. Any other ides?

Hi! Please help me! Since last update I started having problems taking off from the carrier in the Hornet. The catapult won't launch. I had no problems before the update. Yea, I think I have had to run the setup again some time when this has happened as well.

I have noticed this also, but not in the Hornet. I think the problem lies with the rift. Solved the issue by restarting the computer.

I used to have PD set to 1.5 as well, until a few days ago when I wanted to see how many fps I could get if I set all graphics options to minimum and PD to 1.0. To my surprise I was still able to read the gauges. I haven't tried to run the game with that low DP settings since 1.5 and they were not readable then. But in 2.5 it is enough for me to have it at 1.0.

I have noticed the same thing in regards to PD. I have always been using PD 1.5, but the other day I turned all graphics options down to minimum and PD to 1.0 to see how many FPS my old computer could handle (got a little bit over 90 :) ). I immediately noticed that I was still able to read the text and numbers on my instruments. Good to know it wasn't just my imagination :).

I had the same problem when I tried to convert one of my Su-27 skins for USAF Aggressors. Can't get rid of the numbers and US logos are showing up where I don't want them. It would be nice to know how to get around this.

Thanks, but I'm not sure how that would help me. Have you encountered the same problem your self and this fixed it? I have created my own X-56 profiles for all the other modules without any problems. But if we take the command "Slew TDC AFT" (Winkey + J I believe) as an example. If I start the game without programming the X-56 every thing works fine and I can assign the command to the button I want. When I start the game with the X-56 programmed not only does the programmed button fail, but the keyboard command also stops working.

I found another solution to the problem. Instead of editing the countries.lua file, simply just use USA Aggressors instead of USA. Problem Solved :-)

Hi! I'm using a Logitech X-56 and I have some problems programing it for the AV8B. It works fine when I program it in game, but if I use Logitechs software to program it almost nothing works. Has any one else had this issue? Is something wrong on my end or is it just because it is still in early access?

Hi! I'm having a bit of a problem with skins to the Su-33 in DCS 2.5 Open Beta. The skin looks just fine when viewed from an exterior view of the aircraft. But if you are looking from inside the cockpit and lean your head outside the skin of the aircraft around the cockpit is the same as the default skin. I have tested this with one of my own skins as well as with skins made by others. Is anyone else having this problem and do you know how to solve it?

You haven’t modifyed any .lua files right? I tried to modify the countries.lua file and after that v.2.5 wolud not start and I had to repair the game. My game did exactly the same thing as you mention above.

I have alsomst the same problem. I had 3 wingmen, all of them responded to the order ot engage. Only one of them survived. After landing I noticed that the last one had not fired a single missile and was still carrying an empty droptank.

I had a similar problem, make sure that DCS is the active program and not another application. I have noticed that my joystick configuration program has a tendancy to steel focus when I use VR. Hope it helps.

Hope they include it one day, it is a little bit anoying having to tilt your head to look beside the HUD to be able to see whats in front of you.

What graphics settings do you have in DCS 2.5?

Hi! Just press F2 to get to an external view than press F1 again to enter cockpit and you have full control over the camera.
