Only good and real 6dof headsets are oculus rift, razer osvr and htc vive. No need of phone in any of those. Samsung gear vr uses phone but trackking is not good , and display is not so good. So just get rift if you want best for now in flightsims. (Rift has atw, asw so it runs nice even your fps is below 90.

It wont need phone.. And my I3 6100 + gtx970 oc + 16g runs dcs quite fine with high/medium mix graphics and 1.4 pixeldensity.

Brief screens are 512x512 :P 1024x1024 is ok too because it is same aspect ratio, But it will just scale down. Brief screens are still one of dcs from 90's part

Today i finally got my rift, And its so much better than i ever dreamed. Even my budjet rig runs it great. Pixel density 1.3, its enough to make everything better looking but still i can spot targets far enough. I only fly nevada so 1.5 may be not so good. I have been flight sim guy from 1990 (320x240rez etc.. ) and when i see what we have now i just cant belive it. I dont't miss my triple or single screen setups. My chrismas is now ! :D

Even pro pedals (i have those) there is just two spirngs and cam inside so its easy to work.. CH pedals are really simple , its good. Easy to mod and make better :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

More resolution... 8 bit is 255 steps , so you get about 127,25 steps for full left to center pedal and same for right side.. and lets say that your pedas move 15cm from center to full left = its not so analog anymore :huh: 10bit is 1024 steps , much better. :smilewink: Same is for ch joysticks , even fighter stick usb has 8 bit board in and it has long travel , so movement steps are easy to notice.. Makes fine control near imposible :)

You get even better pedals if you throw out that 8bit board and install arduino (mmjoy) or leobodnar controller board in :)

Just bought Oculus rift, about week and it should be here :) Its used but in very good condition. Cost me just below 600euros , so no more games for me this year. (Tight budget) Maybe one more module (i look you F-5) and thats all. But im sure that VR is more than enough for chrismas present :joystick: I feel like little boy :D
