  1. In this context it doesn’t matter. Controllers don’t have a duty attached to them.
  2. I wish fallout9 would reply, though. It's a QOL thing for prospective customers that should be easy for VKB Americas to do.
  3. The official cut off is $20 CAD. (that hasn't even kept up with inflation) Unofficially Canada customs/Canada Post may go somewhat higher than that. If it's through a courier, they collect taxes and duties in any case, in my experience. I believe what your seeing is brokerage. (ie taking it through customs and paying the taxes and duties, as applicable.)
  4. Your shipping methods say simply “DHL” and “FedEx”. One thing you can do is include the service level beside it ie. “Saver”, “Express” or whatever it happens to be. That way, people can look up the brokerage, so there are no surprises.
  5. That can’t be duties. On this kind of product, taxes and brokerage only. For the post, brokerage should be $10. For couriers, much more, although “express” or “air” usually has most of that included in the shipping price. What was the shipping method, “ground” or “saver”? Was it by UPS?
  6. But even more compared to the previous preorder, which was expected. Just tempering expectations.
  7. I should clarify that for Canadian bases, some much further south than Alert would be needed. I guess that there wouldn’t be a heavy presence of buildings in such a map, save for near the air bases, but it still seems too large of an area for DCS to cover.
  8. It would need Russian, Alaskan/US and Canadian bases to start from, unless missions were to start in the air. As for the capability of Alert, they land heavy transports there.
  9. My 30 seconds of googlefu still gets… ear, nose and throat.
  10. Ear, nose and throat?
  11. Even with a 3090? This headset is inspiring all kinds of confidence.
  12. Someone actually selected "I'm feeling confident. "? Don't get me wrong, I'm waiting for this too. Unless they decide to jump on the "this hardware must have a periodic internet connection to work" bandwagon.
  13. DCS has an offline mode. Logging in for occasional updates is one thing, but if Varjo requires periodic connections to avoid becoming a $2000+ usd paperweight, that’s unacceptable.
  14. Of course facebook does. HP doesn’t. If Valve or HTC does, I haven’t heard if it.
  15. I would hope paying that kind of money would negate any need for it to phone home.
  16. The ground AI needs more work. The infantry is OP, and a bigger threat than it should be. But yes, to some people it is. Would flying A10s and helis be that interesting if you had to worry about airborne threats, that you have little defence from? If it is, DCS and the MP community already have that covered in spades.
  17. A2G is actually a thing. Not everyone wants to play air quake, or fly helis where it’s basically a turkey shoot.
  18. Some of their talent publicly quit. They could still release a headset, but that’s a pretty firm vote of no-confidence.
  19. It’s actually gone up. Before, the first few (was it 10?) units were going to be about 1350 euros. edit: they chose the F35 design as a “catch all”, that can be used for various modules. But for that price, I think it’s going to be tough to make the quota.
  20. I understand. What I meant was, monstertech will probably charge you $40 shipping, doubling the cost of the hardware.
  21. Yes. yes. or just get the virpil mount at the same time, since you’d have to pay extra shipping from monstertech just for a base.
