Force Feedback Joystick Coming soon

I’m not sure they would’ve anyway. But the long time belief is that a patent troll was the reason that Logitech and M$ stopped making FF joysticks, yet that doesn’t seem to be the case. -

Not sure about everyone. This looks a bit advanced for someone who’s not mechanically inclined. -

I know it’s slightly OT, but no one? I thought it was due to a patent troll too, but it seems that was more about rumble effects, and that didn’t really stop 3rd parties from using them. It makes more sense that M$ held the FF joystick patent, and it’s probably the usual “just in demand by a small but vocal minority, too small a market.” -

Perhaps, but if so it shouldn’t have anything to do with a patent. (I know you didn’t say it did) https://patents.google.com/patent/US5742278A/en -
Shots from ground forces is one thing, but I thought fighters shooting at bailed pilots is/was a war crime. edit: at least highly frowned upon. On the topic of being able to do that in game, we’ve had that conversation before; I’m on the side of “not necessary”.

For Air to Air. Afghanistan would be a playground for Air vs Ground. And a more realistic setting for helis. -
The new cables have a signal booster which should resolve the connection errors. It also has a much needed on/off switch. They didn't change the build quality of the cable/headset connector, so you still have to be careful with routing it around the headset. eg. make a U around the side of the left speaker, and velcro it in place at the back. (the plastic clip is junk)

What I’ve read about Komodo is they last a couple of years before starting to fail. He does have a v2 of the base, but it’s an awful lot of money to take a chance on. Otherwise I’d be interested in his Apache collective set. -
And then Razbam can use that as well.

FTFY. And never mind those jurisdictions that "outlaw" high end GPUs because they use "too much electricity".

Thermal was the one who mentioned that. There doesn’t seem to be an official spec from Virpil yet. I cancelled for now. I may end up getting it later; what I really need is an Apache collective. And Virpil has shown an interest in that, at least.

Tin foil hattery may actually be a use case for home use of tpm.
-
That’s just it, “improved experience/security” doesn’t mean anything. So far, I can’t think of anything the avg home user would need or want it for. Makes me wonder if they’re being vague because they want to use it for something they know people won’t like. As far as Bitlocker, why would a personal user want to use it? I don’t think we’re at the point where secret agents and criminals are breaking in to homes to steal drives.

They still haven't explained why the avg home user (Home or Pro license) would actually need TPM. Secure Boot doesn't require it. Bitlocker or disk encryption at home, what for? And Windows Hello, again why? "Enhanced security" means nothing, and is not an explanation.
