  1. +1. Would make so much sense to have flyable bombers with historically accurate bombsites and the ability to jump into turrets to fire at fighters, but if that's too ambitious at least balance the ME with German bombers that can bomb.
  2. I'm seeing the same color flashes on Normandy. It's quite a shock when it happens.
  3. Was this ever implemented? I can't seem to locate the option and it would be a great addition.
  4. Currently exploding flak and flak cannons sound a bit like a popping balloon. I wish they were deeper.
  5. I agree and brought this up in the DM bugs subforum. The smoke should start to dissipate immediately and more gradually. By constrast, the ground smoke from, say, a bombed ship dissipates really convincingly and in clumps, not uniformly. Get that same guy to do it!
  6. Sure. I have a group of 109s vectoring to an allied convoy to attack it with bombs. I would like the dropped bombs to have a (random) chance of hitting the ships but not a 100% chance of hitting a ship every time. Currently each bomb drop results in a direct hit which makes the mission unrealistic and too predictable.
  7. problem is that the object is moving so the bombs will likely just drop in an empty area.
  8. I've created a mission where Bf109s attack a moving convoy with bombs, but each bomb drop results in a direct hit and they never miss. Is there a way to decrease the accuracy? If I use carpet bombing they just drop on the exact point I select in the ME and the ships move away from that point as they proceed to their next waypoint. I was thinking maybe they could bomb a moving trigger zone or something?
  9. Being able to select WWII units in the FMB is not the same as having a WWII QMB.
  10. I just wish static objects had a damage monitor like active objects. I'm trying to build a mission where static objects explode once they're damaged beyond a certain point but since the damage is not tracked I can't do it.
  11. Is it possible to fly the Gazelle on the channel map? I can't get it to work even through the mission editor.
  12. Hearing the prop wash and wind when you look backwards (trackir) or stick your head out the canopy on either side is a great addition but it also occurs with the canopy is closed. This is in the Spitfire.
  13. I was flying LFDM and in the middle of a dogfight was banned. Any idea how to contact the admin to see what's up?
  14. The water hit effect is pretty outdated and looks more like snow covered trees. I wish it looked more like this, especially considering the island map is near.
  15. Does the pulsing in the cockpit happen in real life? I hear what sounds like the volume being modulated at about 4 cycles per second. It's noticeable in Phil's video at 3:35. Just wondering if this is still on the list to fix. Cheers.
  16. I also want to express my thanks. The map looks absolutely amazing and just for that I'm buying another module. So there.
  17. I would like servers to have a limited padlock function where you can tell the direction of enemy planes but only if they are outside visual range. Once you are within visual range (or slightly outside) the padlock view would stop functioning so that it doesn't turn into a dogfighting cheat. Either that or having ground control respond to requests for enemy contacts bearings and ranges. We need to find each other more easily given the relatively small numbers are MP.

  19. Please use the engine sounds from this video. It would make me so happy.
  20. I'm trying to build a mission where tanks must cross bridges in order to advance. If the bridges are destroyed I want the tanks to get stuck on the other side, but they just drive through the bridge wreckage or through the water. Is there a way to forbid them from crossing if the bridge is destroyed?
  21. Is this even being developed? I would really like a QMB for WW2.
  22. Static vehicles will smoke, burn and then explode, but static planes only have pieces disappear. Placing planes that are in the process of taking off from a ramp does work, but I'm limited in where I can place them and they don't sit there that long. Am I doing something wrong?
  23. I think a differential FM and DM (and engine sounds) would do it. The competitor that shall not be named with a Russian dictator in the name has great looking planes but the dogfighting is totally arcade because of the FM and DM. The other major competitor doesn't look as good as DCS IMHO. I really hope the new DM is good I would love for DCS to be successful with the WWII modules.
  24. I don't want to disable it. I want to have the message appear for 5 or 10 seconds and then disappear. Is that possible?
