  1. Can someone point me to the info on how to modify the appropriate file to remove the limits on views? So you can get closer to ground level for ramp shots etc.? I know the info is on either here or the SimHQ forums as I made the change back during the betas, but I can't find it now....thanks for helping! MD
  2. BTW guys, there are lots of squadron patches on E-Bay.....not hard to find one you like.
  3. Plenty of room on the throttle for everyones favorite squadron patch! I wasn't so sure how the one on the stick would come out, but it turned out ok.
  4. Got mine, thanks! I did a little customization with some patches....
  5. Maybe he means for the AI aircraft that have burners?
  6. Good results here with the new patch so far as well!!
  7. Just ordered a set, looking forward to getting them on my HOTAS!!
  8. That fixed it for me too, thanks!!!
  9. Wow, it looks like a lot of people have found difficult ways to do something simple! First of all, I made the paddle switch on the stick base a modifier in the control panel. Then, assign the autopilot button on the left throttle to the gear function with the paddle switch as a modifier. I also made the master mode control button an active pause toggle with the paddle as a modifier. I had some other stuff mapped in Beta 2 and 3 but stopped with the realization I would have to do them all over again in the final....but its not hard and the in game control panel gives you lots of flexibility.
  10. Someone should let him know the A-10 doesn't fire Sparrow missles.
  11. My guess is that ED is trying to get it right. I had so much trouble with Beta 3 I did not even bother to download Beta 4, I am thinking ED wants a much more stable Beta 6 so they can begin to wrap this baby up and start working on our F-15E. (At least I hope that what they are working on.....but an F-18 would be OK too....) MD
  12. Sold, thanks for the interest!
  13. I have a CH Products MFP for sale, great condition, MSRP is $189, I will take $85 shipped. E-mail denneym1@cableone.net
  14. Looks like a great deal for $720. I am not familiar with how the sim runs on the Athalon processor, so someone else will have to comment on that, but everything else looks good. MD
  15. I too would like to see more of the element of squadron management in single player, and a more immersive experience. I well remember choosing my wingmen in Falcon, watching thier ability rise slowly with experience, and being disappointed when one of my good ones got shot down. Also, having to manage my stores and allocate them. I do miss that part of the experience. MD
  16. I too fondly remember the DI Tornado....setting up four ship attacks on an enemy airfield, with the 4 tornados coming in from different directions a few seconds apart....sweaty palms as I tried to remember everything that needed to happen to land that puppy....flaps, wing sweep, gear, thrust reversers....it was an awesome sim for the day and I too would love to see a modern version.
  17. Awesome little program, thanks!!! Rep sent!
  18. I have been trying to figure the same thing out...wanted to make a 2 ship of F-15's make a low pass over the ramp to add some "atmosphere" during the start up time. Seems they want to stay in a combat spread with quite a distance between them. Not sure how to tighten up the formations.
  19. I don't own a X65F, but I have used one. Personally, I didn't like it. I DO own a X-52 and X-52 PRO, and neither is well made, both have had problems with bad connections inside, spiking, not holding calibration, etc. so unless the quality of the X65F is head and shoulders above Siateks other products....I still think the quality is much better in the Warthog. And to me....the switches on the Warthog feel much, much more durable than anything Saitek has ever made....I have no idea how you could feel they are flimsy on the Warthog.
  20. Bad advice....the Warthog is a far better stick. If you want glitz, go ahead and get the X65. If you want precision, durability, and realism, get the Warthog. Its absolutely perfect for DCS:A-10C but also good for about any modern military jet. The Target software still needs a little bit of sorting out, but the hardware is superb. MD
  21. Holy bat turds! Releases Feb. 2011 for $1200!? Really? They are out now, for about $400 US.
  22. I would hope that the ability to save CMS settings and weapons profiles will one day be a part of a utility like Modman or something similar.
  23. Where did you get Beta 4??
