My A-10C was bought direct from ED, I still have the receipt with the transaction and serial numbers. So I am not sure what is going on. Sure would like to get it working.....

I think you are missing the point of his post. His 1.5 is working, but it is not recognizing his A-10C module. I have I think the same issue. All other modules work, but the A-10C module does not and it will not allow me to enter the key in module manager.

So...installed 1.5. Went to module manager and installed all my modules EXCEPT A-10C which did not show up. SO, copied A-10C files from my regular install to the Beta 1.5 install. Now it shows up in module manager but won't let me fly it (AI only). When I click on serial number in module manager it says No Key and it won't let me manually enter my serial number. I have had A-10C since the beta years ago. How do I get it activated in 1.5? Works fine in my other install along with all my other modules BTW. Thanks for any help!!

OK, but I am still confused and I am sure others are too. So I have to have a completely separate install for 1.5? Where do I find that? And will it see and use my already installed modules?

How to get 1.5 Open Beta? Since this will be a open beta release, how will we get access to it? I presume the updater won't automatically update since presumably not everyone wants to download a beta version? Will we have to manually download and install? And reinstall each module? Or ?

I did not say it was "wrong" but it is too dark for my taste in the current build and appears to continue to be the same darkness in 1.5. Sheesh. I also am not reporting a "bug", just asking others opinions. Thanks for moving the thread to Siberia. I guess asking a question is Verboten.

So I have thought this for a while, and Wags images of the new Mig 29 cockpit brought the thought up again.....does it seem to anyone else that the cockpit shadows are TOO dark? Sure seems like it to me. And I am concerned more now because I noted that in 1.5 it won't be possible to turn them off. Thoughts?

I am not basing my decision on just DCS world. Just looking for a good all around system. Need pointers on things like AMD vs. Intel and Nvidia vs. ATI in bang for the buck. For instance, when I bought my last system Nvidia was having issues and ATI was the way to go. I don't know it that's still true.

So its about time for me to upgrade my system. I currently have a Core i7 930 at 2.80 Ghz with 12 GB ram and a ATI 5700 video card. I am looking at a new system from ibuypower, that is where I got my current one and it has been a good system. Any suggestions on best bang for the buck would be appreciated. I would like to keep cost at $1000-1200 if possible. Unfortunately I have not kept up with the new processors and video cards and I/o systems like Thunderbolt? so I need some input. THanks!

I have not been on here since last fall. Been busy! Couple questions though for those who have been here more recently...... Any news on Edge/Nevada? I thought it was supposed to be out before the end of the year and assumed that meant 2014? Can't find any recent updates? Also, there was a lot of talk about an AH-1G Huey Cobra at the time....can't find a thing about that anymore either. What happened?

I think an option to have scaling, and to be able to adjust it through the options menu, would be a great addition. It would help overcome the handicap of trying to spot targets with the limited resolution of a computer screen compared to the human eye.

I use GBU-31 x 4. You can get them off in one pass if you are high enough and quick about it. Question of my own....which buildings or objects besides the ammo depot have secondary explosions?

I am getting excited about the upcoming F-86 Sabre. I recall reading a book many years ago in which the pilot describes in detail what its like to fly it, he was on a routine courier flight during the cold war in Europe if I remember correctly. I can't recall the name of the book, but I think it had "stars" in it. Anyone ever read this? Any other good books about the F-86? BTW I do remember that pilot talking about the F-86 as being very easy to fly, saying even his grandmother could fly it!!

In the "old" BS and A-10C there was a .lua file you could modify a setting in to make it possible for the outside view camera to be closer to the ground for those low angle screen shots. I think it was something like "camera terrain limit"? IIRC changing that value to false also allowed the camera to zoom in closer. I have been unsuccessful at locating that setting in DCS World. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Thanks!

Somehow messed up my joystick configuration after the 1.2.2 update. How do I get back to the basic Thrustmaster Warthog config? Prefer to go back there and start over rather than trying to figure out where I am now. Thanks!

Wow, who thought we would ever see wing mounted .50's again in the USAF?!

All of the A-10's I saw during Hawgsmoke 2010 had whichever pod they were carrying (Litening or Sniper) on Station 10. These were representative of almost every A-10 squadron and I do not recall seeing a single bird with the pod under the left wing. MD Edit: Just checked my pics and I am wrong. Moody (FT) and Kansas City (KC) squadrons have them on Station 2, everyone else seems to be on Station 10. It does seem to be a squadron preference rather than an individual aircraft thing as nearly as I can tell from my pics. In other words, all the FT and KC birds were left wing, everyone else right.

I too am having trouble stopping, and I am guessing this is why!!! :joystick:
