Well done on the release, very cool choice of aircraft for the game. I'll probably end up getting this at some point but if you ever decide to expand into the CB model, I'd be chucking even more money in. My home country is a former operator of the CB.

If you guys ever decide to expand into the CB version, It'd be a buy from me. There's one sitting in a hangar I fly out of, apparently airworthy but not flying due to cost. Well done on your release.

Been playing DCS since 2017 and own most of the modules but never played either of the Su-25s. Current affairs have me interested in these aircraft but I've found getting information on the Su-25T and Ka-50 a bit difficult. I'm aware the Ka-50 had limited combat use and the Ka-52 is the dominant model of this type of aircraft however I can't really find anything about the Su-25T. Who knows anything about this aircraft? Is it pretty much a fictional aircraft or is it actually in active service. What model of Su-25 are the Russians currently using, surely not the A model?

I'm a real sucker for DCS having a sale, I buy a module, buy a campaign, get part way into it and then get sidetracked by another new module so it'll be sometime until I get through the three campaigns available. I got the 14 day trial and yea at sale price (even full price) I can see it's one of the core modules for the game. The nav system alone seems massively detailed. Just my opinion but the GNSS system feels a lot like a civilian one in terms of layout of various pages and accessibility (not a criticism just an observation, very intuitive and easy to use). I usually fly the choppers with central position trimmer option selected but for whatever reason I find that quite unpleasant to use with the Ka-50. The default setting works much better for me. Just did one of the instant action missions and by far it looks like the most deadly chopper in the game. It'll be a buy (shame it's not a KA-52 tho). Is it true ED got info directly from Kamov for this module? If so, that alone makes it really interesting given how the access to information on Russian aircraft is much stricter in recent years.

I own most the modules for this game and have never been interested in the KA-50. Somehow, after buying the Apache, I now am interested. I figure that at the sale price its a pretty good buy since it comes with 3 campaigns but then I saw a video from a couple of years ago saying updates had broken them. Are the campaigns back to working now? It seems a really easy aircraft to fly, a bit like an arcade game really but as I understand that's the way it's meant to be and is accurate. Can anybody tell me if the single seat KA-50 is still in service?

I saw this mentioned a bit in 2021 but haven't seen anybody identify what's going on. When the Hind was first released Petrovich had excellent accuracy for me even with the difficulty I had getting the Hind in trim. I've recently returned to the Hind and I find Petrovich misses anywhere from 50% to 75% of the time. All misses appear to go over the top of the target. Strangely it's not consistent. I'm using H4 take down instant action as my point of reference. I can load into this mission and have consistent hit rate at one time but at another time I can fire 4 or 5 missiles at a tank and only score one hit. Accuracy doesn't improve with close range. I've tried different ways of attacking (from up high, from down low, faster, slower, pointing directly at the target throughout the attack run and flying more level). Nothing seems to help. Is it possible what I'm seeing and what Petrovich is seeing aren't lining up? Any ideas?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. DCS is excluded from my AV and I tried a repair. Looks like it was some kind of config issue in the end. Renamed the user folder, restarted then replaced the original configs with the new one and back to normal albeit with a long initial startup.

I got around this one by renaming the user folder for DCS, restarting and then replacing the old config file with the new one.

I can't even get into the game. I've tried a repair. Total lock up. Also getting very fed up with DCS at this point. I'm putting more time into trying to find solutions to gamebreaking crashes than actually playing the game.

Game crashes on launch. Sometimes crashes my PC and I have to do a hard restart, sometimes it says DCS is not responding and closes. Was working fine prior to open beta update. I'm not running any mods and I have already tried a repair. Log attached dcs.log

So I think my issues with crashes are memory related. I'm generally using up 80% of my memory on Enigma server but I just saw a spike of over 90%. I suspect when Im crashing it's exceeding the limit. I'm not sure what to do as I have 32GB of RAM and decent GPU. Any tips on reducing RAM usage?

If anybody is still reading this post I just tried the first mission and managed to land (just). It's hard but here's my suggestion. Tune the near beacon and try cross it on runway heading plus 10 degrees (because theres a crosswind). Configure the aircraft for landing really early and try cross the beacon at about 200-300m at a reasonable speed and trimmed, ignore the bell just wait for the needle to flip around. Once you see it moving descend until you're flying at treetop height then look for the runway. Land. It's pretty tricky with that crosswind and I ended up crossing the beacon at an angle that just wasn't going to work but I did manage to get sight of the runway as I crossed the threshold, I did a full power orbit to the right keeping the outline of the airfield in sight and then just landed half way down the runway from that. Realistically I probably would've wrecked the landing gear in real life but fortunately it's a game and you can smash it on no worries.

I bought it a while back and it was the only module I regretted buying. However, in the last week I've started playing Enigmas cold war server and it's my main aircraft. Really like the MiG 19. If you want it, get it, the campaign for it looks good too but I'm only just starting it.

Hi, Any luck with this issue. I'm just playing the campaign now and can't hear anything on channel 2. Also, I can't tune the ARK 5 when in near mode. Looks like a bug and I've reported it but it does make the mission a little more difficult. The ARK 5 band selector just won't move even in ANT mode when you change to near.

Unable to change frequency band or tune frequency when switching from far to near. I'm able to tune normally in Far mode but when I change to near even with ANT mode selected the band selector is stuck in position and the fine tuning doesn't work for the band I'm in.

It's Mozdok airfield that you take off from. I'm just doing it now. Can't even tune the near beacon because the nav system appears to be bugged.

I've got a heap of compressed log files from 2020. Is it alright for me to delete the old files in the log folder and start from scratch? dcs.log

I'm tending to get game freezes followed by DCS not responding when entering dogfight involving multiple aircraft (4+). Otherwise everything runs great. My specs are: I7 9700K, RTX 2060 super, 32 GB DDR4 RAM (just shy 3 years old) and DCS installed on it's own Nvme SSD with 66% space remaining. I haven't had similar freezes on other servers but in saying that I've spent very little time in other servers. Any ideas? EDIT: I just tried to play the server again and got another freeze, this time while I was on the ground. It happened when 4 aircraft taxiid out past me. Total lock up, couldn't even go to task manager to try exit DCS that way. After several minutes I had to restart my PC. Really like this server but it looks like it's not playable for me unfortunately.

Hi All, New to MP. Really enjoying it, pretty much exclusively playing Enigma's cold war server (my sole reason for having the MiG 19). It started well but in the last 3 games I've had the game freeze and stop responding every time I've entered a dogfight with multiple aircraft. My specs are as follows: i7 9700k, RTX 2060 Super, 32GB DDR4 RAM, DCS installed on its own SSD with about 66% space remaining. I've got a reasonably connection for my part of the world (about 200-230ping in server). I'm not running any mods and I've excluded Eagle Dynamics from my AV scan. I'm using SRS. What else can I do?

I've got a strange issue that I can't link up to any changes (patch or any change I've made). Seemingly out of nowhere, when I open DCS I get the same prompts to sign in only when DCS opens it simply appears on the task bar but the window remains closed. Clicking on the icon on the task bar does nothing. Opening task manager but not actually doing anything with it opens DCS and I can play as normal. Any ideas whats causing this?

I’m a little worried about using a .exe file from GitHub. What changes does the .exe actually make?

Are we able to do realistic bombing rather than the arcade style CCIP? If so, how?

I worked it out. I'm gonna look silly. I've got logitech pedals and I was riding the brakes during rudder use.
