  1. While I don't feel anyone at ED has been deceptive, I will agree that they need a regular spokesperson to interact with the online community. I've made that very suggestion to them several times. While I do have several friends and colleagues at TFC/ED, I am not in any position, nor would I want to be, to provide anyone with regular updates.
  2. Do you mean to imply that ED is being dishonest and that they are somehow being deceptive? Come on. They obviously want to resume sales with the download option but both PayPal and Verisign have presented obstacles to this effort.
  3. Are you running through a network router? An IP address starting with 192 is an indicator that you are using a network. If you are running through a router with a firewall then you will need to open up the port being used by Lock On.
  4. Boo hoo. Life is so unfair.
  5. When someone cuts me off in traffic I try to switch to guns... if only.
  6. You'd have been called a crybaby as well. Obviously you have a more refined and reasonable sense about you. Bravo.
  7. Life is tough. They'll get over it, I have.
  8. Hey, he's complaining about his opinions not being listened to so my response is to express my opinion which is that the "boo hoo crying" should stop. The guy doesn't even HAVE V1.1 and he is whining about something for which he has no first-hand knowledge. It's complete BS and he is even more silly making a stink about his thread being closed. Pershaps he should go to a game forum for a product that he actually owns. Hey, that's just MY opinion, OK?
  9. None of them are impossible with new code. I'm confident that ED will accomodate all these areas, eventually.
  10. Boo hoo. Stop crying.
  11. Not a problem. I've already seen it done for flyable helicopters and "other" aircraft in the Lock On engine.
  12. Incorrect. I've seen the sales numbers. Hardly a falling in any sense. You shouldn't make statements that are not based on facts.
  13. I believe that TFC/ED is interested in being their own publisher, not having another publisher who takes a cut.
  14. Actually it smells more like a potential thief.
  15. You are speculating and you are incorrect. I've learned that there are problems with Paypal and that ED is trying to work it out. It is not due to customer complaints. When ED is ready to provide details they will. I was told that they are currently working to get alternative means in place to accomodate those that wish to purchase the product. Until they make an offficial announcement I would refrain from making a wild-ass guess like you just did.
  16. I suspect that only a handful of crazies would show up. They could then go over to the Microsoft booths and complain about the Gates conspiracy to rule the world.
  17. While you have every right to complain, the constant repeat of the same complaints and the "I refuse to buy it" is getting old. You've made your point, stated that you are not going to buy FC because of Starforce. Now that you have made your case, please, PLEASE, move on. If some of you are expecting someone from ED to respond to every complaint then you are going to be further disappointed. I'm sure ED is working on something to deal with the problems. They have ALWAYS supported their customers even with issues that should have been handled by publishers. I have not lost my faith in them and neither should any of you. Regardless of your opinions, how about giving the angst and bad feelings a rest? I did say please, didn't I?
  18. E3 isn't open to the public.
  19. Stormin hasn't worked on any commercial Lock On project for almost a year. I'm not even in the credits for V1.1 because I really didn't work on that project. I still read the forums but I have no official capacity with TFC/ED since I started working at my present job last year.
  20. Actually, it is you then needs to give it a rest as you're the one ranting in this thread. What does "lated" mean?
  21. I doubt ED will be adding much more to Lock On. Efforts will most likely be toward another simulation that is not encumbered by the Lock On name being owned by Ubi Soft. Why add to a product that is restricted by the limits placed upon it by a publisher that abandoned it years ago? I say it is time to move on and do the next product, a full simulation, not an add on for Lock On. I would also expect that the modular approach will be something to consider as well. Attention should be applied to individual flyable aircraft instead of having multiple flyable aircraft with the first release. Just my opinions.
  22. You are overreacting and you are out of line. Chizh, no doubt, has plenty of e-mail and messages. He's not in charge and perhaps needs to get information. Besides, as has already been mentioned, ED is planning to make an announcement.
