So how is work on that front? Since I know you guys are working for new effects per bomb and all, which is great, but any news?
-
Spain uses the EF-18A, so they don't use the C, but modders will make one of course.

** F-14 Road to Release + Christmas Update!! **
WarrenSkip replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Yeah...This is way way too silent, eerily silent... One month ago it was "done" and now nothing at all. This is either, as Lieuie says "the calm before the storm" or something else.. HB, if you are reading this, know that is hurting us! An indication of just an announcement would be enough! -
VFA-31 won't be added as they never flew the Hornet. However rest assured modders will make up for that :D

I've always wanted to blow up Iraqi tanks in my country, please ED :D, especially with the Kuwaiti F/A-18C now (even though we used A-4s during the war). If not Iraq, at least Kuwait, you'll have basically a full ~~Arabian~~ Gulf, and at least a site of a modern war for the first time! I can only imagine the scenarios! Iraqi Mi-8s, Mi-24s, MiG-21s, and Scud launchers and giant air defense networks all over. Belsimtek's F-4s and EDs Hornets do the SEAD/DEAD work. F-14s fly BARCAP over the Gulf. Hornets can also fly CAP/Strike (vice-versa) missions, all from an aircraft carrier. Then F-15s, A-10s, and F-4s fly from bases in Qatar/KSA. After which I liberate my country virtually :D Ok time to stop my drooling and wishful thinking lol.

As a Kuwaiti +1! Here are some pics of the Kuwaiti Hornet I took from Kuwait Aviation Show last Saturday. https://imgur.com/a/FjwHf

Probable multi-million dollar projects that take years or almost a decade in some cases don't happen because of petitions I'll tell you that right now. Also BZ, F-16 isn't really classified. Sure the defensive systems like RWR are, but other than that it's the same level as a F/A-18C really, hell they both are from the same competition and can do exactly the other can do (except F/A-18 can land on carriers and has 2 engines, while F-16 looks cooler :D)

Come on boys, anything out of the shop? :D Any major announcements inc at least :)? -
On 9 January 2017 the Houthi media, Al-Masirah, announced that the F-15 had been damaged but did not crash. https://www.almasirah.net/details.php?es_id=17971&cat_id=3

If you look at the paint wishlist thread on the DCS F/A-18C forum, I posted a bunch of pics of Kuwaiti F/A-18Cs, enjoy!

Kuwaiti F/A-18Cs https://imgur.com/a/FjwHf https://imgur.com/a/FjwHf The exhibits were great, although the airshow was cancelled because of dust and heavy, HEAVY winds! Also, today something incredible happened thanks to DCS. The first exhibit I see is setup by the Kuwait Flight Academy, and guess what they have? DCS 1.58 with the Mirage 2000, full with VR, FFB, calibrated just like the real aircraft and with modifications for the academy. In any case, some Air Force pilots, police Colonels fly in it, and then I did, had a lengthy chat with multiple people from that org including the director of training and a couple of others. Then flew a lot, and because of DCS and my knowledge of the M2000, the director of training invited me to get a Class 4 PPL with them! Thanks ED, thanks RAZBAM (and all others 3rd parties) for this wonderful product that has opened a path to the future I have always wanted! Side note, the director actually told me that they have spoke with the devs at ED for their version, and just the chance that I meet them, get an invite, all for coming to the airshow (one of the reasons) because I wanted to picture the F/A-18C for you guys and the devs! (KAF pics are hard to come by lol) https://imgur.com/a/HL3IX

Going to an airshow tomorrow and Saturday in my country (Kuwait). Kuwaiti F/A-18Cs will be there, get ready for a lot of rare pics of Kuwaiti Hornets (some of them are just back from service in Yemen as well!)
-
This was 9 years ago guys :D
-
You know there is a F/A-18C forum right :D? In any case, the answer to your question is that it will be a pain to get to that screen.
-
uhhh, I just went into 1.58 and the serverlist showed up... Thanks ED if it was you!
-
Any news on this at all now? Or will it be listed like every other DCS problem now, never to be fixed again.. I mean it's brilliant how I open DCS one day, and the next it does not work!
-
Yeah I didn't think so, but the manual said it should be able to "lock air to air targets" so did a little bit of experimenting, but even with no clutter and just the target, it wouldn't lock the aircraft. Which is fine though, still a very good way of finding targets.
-
Thanks, because the manual says I can lock air targets doing this, however when I press TV on an air target, it does not seem to track, thanks anyways.
-
Can anyone tell me what control is for the trigger on the radarstick is? Since it's not animated, and the manual lists it differently than T0, T1, and TV, and the name from the manual "fix trigger" is not in the controls.

Enjoy! DCS Viggen 0 visibility TILS landing
WarrenSkip replied to WarrenSkip's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
Indeed, Viggen is right up there with the Hog for me. The philosophy/doctrine around the design is it's main interests that drag me into it. LOW LOW LOW Boom and Zoom attacks, extensive pre-planning, awesome NAV system and ground radar, extreme simplicity in literally everything from loading, planning, landing, HUD, navigation, computer, all made with the thought of it being intuitive and simple. Damn I love this module! -
Enjoy! DCS Viggen 0 visibility TILS landing
WarrenSkip replied to WarrenSkip's topic in DCS: AJS37 Viggen
The wind was 80 knots (150km/h) at 1600 feet MSL and 37 knots (68 km/h) at 16 feet MSL, ie it was so strong that the flight vector was "blown" off the screen and pointing way to the left (and subsequently my nose), however I was holding it in place with stick and rudder inputs. This isn't a good explanation by any measure, I can imagine it/visual it way better, the more aerodynamically proficient among us can further explain! You'll notice the flight vector a couple of times and you'll notice the more wind pushing my aircraft, the more put off the flight vector gets. That is also why the landing was wild, the wind was insane! -
Hope you guys enjoy, and a huge huge thanks to the Heatblur team for the wonderful aircraft that is the AJS-37 Viggen, along with the music of course! Landing obviously wasn't the best, however the TILS system is not supposed to be used instrument only as it is not that accurate enough, you're going to need a visual on the airfield at least in the very end, which I got, so basically excuse the landing :D.

How about January 2018 :D?

Thank you very much!
