  1. I asked ED about whether JHMCS would be able to que for the TGP on release and the post was slapped with the "Later in EA" tag. So eventually yes but not anytime soon.
  2. Is TGP on track for late June/early July? Obviously subject to change. But I think we are all eager on news
  3. In the bug report that started this discussion, Wags and Nineline confirmed that elevation is currently using AGL. But I, like others are confused because that doesn't seem to make sense. So to clear things up. Is AGL as the elevation format incorrect?
  4. I went and read the closed bug thread you mentioned. Isee what your asking now. Im also curious, because if they are using AGL as the elevation then how would you ever attack a target location below sea level? Is it just the way the f10 map provides coordinates?
  5. Maybe I dont really understand your question. The JSOW uses the coordinates you input including elevation and is then guided by on board GPS. "How does the bomb then know the actual location of the target vertically above (or below) sea level)?" Because you told it so when you entered in the coordinates/elevation
  6. Gotcha. Thanks
  7. If the tgp is displayed on the AMPCD is it still monochrome green?
  8. Cluster munitions have always been a victim to the current DCS damage model. Always a toss up.
  9. You can cold start the hornet in 3 minutes. I wouldnt avoid a campaign over something that you could learn in 30 minutes.
  10. While I don't really care specifically that the JSOW is gonna be a little late. I like most others have stated, am more upset that it was admittedly held up because of a newer EA module. I do however appreciate the transparency from ED. Just hoping the last few months is maybe just a rough patch for the Hornet. I'm just praying to the almighty DCS gods that the TGP release goes as planned.
  11. You litterally stated you do not need to set trim for takeoffs outside the carrier. Then state you set it during startup.. that IS setting the trim.... Dont understand what your trying to say.
  12. You set TO trim for any takeoff. That's why its called takeoff trim.
  13. Really good stuff Snaproll. This topic seems to come up every 6 months or so. I really hate seeing a missile pull 10 Gs right off the rail. Nothing ever seems to be done about it unfortunately. Probably plays a role in why 120's arent reliable past 8-9 miles.
  14. Gotcha. I just think its worth maybe poking ED about it now and who knows. Maybe they will consider it if it wouldnt take much time..
  15. Will the upcoming release of the litening pod come with the JHMCS cueing feature? From what I understand from natops it's as simple as setting the HMD as soi and looking at a spot to designate. Maybe I'm just being naive but that doesn't sound like it would take a ton of time to code. I think it would be great to include upon release rather than going back some time in the future to get it addded in. Any word on this would be appreciated. Cheers
  16. I also have to say after reading the specs. They where clever to add push button features to the 2 other 4 ways on the throttle. And also an extra "mini" 4 way on the stick.
  17. I second Ralfidude for a review. He puts up some quality stuff!
  18. +1
  19. Couldn't agree with this post more. I'm glad we get a pod but I too hope they dont bury a ton of time into the litening. I also agree with your point on getting basic systems finished before adding things like JSOWs, SLAM-ERs and the like. In my opinion it should be ATFLIR, TWS, AG radar before litterally any other work is done.
  20. People that had a voice about this are the ones you can thank for the change even happening. You keep waiting for that apology though. Thank you ED for listening to the community.
  21. Pretty cool stuff. I think Hornets can also use the JHMCS to look at a spot on the ground and designate it for a bomb. I really hope they adjust the view though. As of right now its like the HMD is pointed where your mouth is, not your eyes. Also the blanking under the HUD hasnt been fixed yet.
  22. Ahh I see. Pretty nifty. Thanks
  23. What does the SET feature do exactly?
