And you got same performance in both ? I mean good scaling using the settings u posted above ?
-
I will both try the sli bits and install previous driver. Can u please confirm whether you are on open beta or stable. Correct me if I am wrong but I think stable version updates are lagging behind a bit. Its also a possibility that the latest update of beta has solved the problem. Today evening I will try the bits and previous drivers. The oldest drivers available are 387.92.

Hi. I have set CPU affinity to all cores. Previously, in 2.5.0 I used to get almost double performance with dual GPUs with no ill affects. Cloud flicker was introduced in 2.5.1 which is now fixed. However, I cannot understand why the GPUs are not scaling now like before. I have tried multiple Sli bits to no vail. Also tried to force AFR and AFR2. Regarding the Gsync, I have LG 120 Hz 55 Inch TV connected directly via HDMI cable. I dont think that the TV has Gsync capability. But lemme know If there are ways to check whether or not Gsync is interfering with my setup. I have tried turing off Vsync but again made no difference. Best Regards,

Something seems to be bottlenecking the performance. The GPU usage should increase with demand and FPS should remain solid. If both GPus are at 100% and FPS drops then its understandable that the GPUs limit has been reached. However its is very stange that GPUs remain at 40% and FPS drops to 30 in demanding areas. CPU usage also 20% to 25% max. God knows whats the bottleneck. or may be we shd try old drivers.

The cloud flicker in SLI is indeed gone. However, I am not getting any scaling like I used to get. FPS not going above 50. In more demanding areas, previously both GPUs used to get to 100% usage and stable FPS. Now FPS comes down to 30 and usage of both cards limited to 30%-40%. I have a core i7 7700k @ 4.6 Ghz and DDR4 3200 MHz. I would appreciate some good advice.

Thats awsome news to hear that the cloud flicker has been resolved. Waiting for the update for stable version. I dont have beta. Good luck guys.

Multiple GPUs worked just fine until 2.5.1. Cloud flicker is so annoying. Someone please fix this.

Go to search bar. write usb game controller. select it and choose properties. then check if all the controls are working properly. if there is stutter than there is problem with your controller otherwise its just a setting issue in dcs.

Nvidia Claiming 35 - 45% Performance Increase.
Drag80 replied to Tinkickef's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
There is no purpose of launching a new series card if it does not have atlease 40%-45% performance boost. So yes there will be a great performance boost in the 20 series. 1080ti prices will drop. -
Hahaha Sli doesnt work at all after 2.5.1. It used to work before that.
-
So.....Sli is totally dead after the last few updates. First there was cloud flicker and now to make make matter worst, second card is not scaling at all. DCS was awsome in SLI. Now forced to run on medium settings on single 1070. I dont know Why they have killed multi gpu support.:music_whistling::(:joystick:

Please resolve the sli cloud flickering problem which came in 2.5.1. Once you get used to the awsome performance of two 1070s, one 1070 really suck. cant stand the low fps.

any solution to the cloud flicker problem ? Are they going to solve this ?

In my limited experience, air density is the thing that makes plane responsive. In higher Altitudes Air in thin with less resistance therefore more speed. but lift is not enough which increases angle of attack and makes plane sluggish. I find the simulation acceptable. However, I do feel that missile range does not increase with inccrease in altitude.

After the latest update of release version, there is severe cloud flickering in SLI mode. I have tried every trick but cannot get rid of cloud flickering. There was absolutely no problem in 2.5 and two gtx 1070s gave me solid solid performance, but now its all messed up. A single 1070 doesnt have enough juice to maintain stable fps and not everyone can afford 1080ti. ED Team please fix this. Let us use multiple gpus please. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ladies and gentlemen. Its time to wake up this thread. There was cloud flicker problem with sli in DCS 2.5.1 beta onwards. DCS 2.5 stable was fine. However, now that all the updates have been itegrated in stable version, the cloud flickering has also return. If anyone finds a solution(Including myself) please post here for the help of others. Regards,

Just check the full screen box in system menu and let it start in full screen. dont press alt + enter again it will mess up the frame rate.
-
for VR u will have to go with single powerful card. 1080 ti is a good choice if u r in a hurry. otherwise wait a little for 11 series.
-
I have the same cards. DCS gets around 60 to 70 percent boost in sli. But configuring it is tricky. u can serach on forums to get the answers. Nvidia Inspector is the tool that u will have to use.

This is confirmed that there is no solution for cloud flicker in 2.5.1 beta. As mentioned earlier, I had to uninstall 2.5.1 and re download 2.5 release to get the issue resolved. I dont have the picture to attach however I will try to guide you as much as possible. In sli section do not select the AFR1 or AFR2. choose only "number of gpus in sli render to two" and leave rest of the setting to Auto. Sli bits DX10 and DX11 should be 0x080020F5 Diablo III, Dark souls, Ark survival evolved, Ark survival evovled, alone in the dark......... IN DCS check full screen option and v sync.

Well..it was only due to this reason that I shifted back to 2.5 release version. Something was messed up in 2.5.1 which caused this flickering. I spent hours and hours to mitigate the problem with no luck. In the end had to uninstall 2.5.1 beta and re download the 2.5 release. I hope the update doesnt come to 2.5 release which caused the clouds flicker. otherwise sli will be unplayable. Currently, SLI is working like a charm in 2.5 release.
