I guess this is a really complicated topic. thousands of pages to be read. Cant comment any further.

That wasnt correction at all. Lets discuss one by one. Ok first thing. If a plane can HOJ, why cant a SAM Radar do so? Stealth Air crafts keep their Radar and counter measures off in order not to be detected. Moment you turn on ECM you give away your location. Have you ever heard of a B 2 bomber flying with ECM on? or a F22 raptor? A F-16 was short down by Russain SAM. The SAM operator just had approx idea of the Aircraft location. He fired two sams and turned on his Radar at last moments. When the pilot got missile warning it was already too late. ECM of a fighter jet has 120 degrees coverage. What about the remaining 240 degrees? If the missile is coming from the remaining 240 Degrees ? Are SAM Radars not more powerful than what we have in Aircrafts? If an aircraft can burn through an ECM at the specific distance, why cant sam Radar have a burn in distance?

A very complicated question. I dont think ECM works against Radar guided SAMs. When u turn on the ECM it like flashing a torch in darkness. Everyone can see where the torch is coming from. Its called Home on Jammer(HOJ). Secondly The Radar used on Sam systems are way too powerful as compared to what they have in Aircrafts.

How old is your constroller? looks like the hall sensors are not working properly or may be the magnets have become weak. Search on youtube "x52 magnet mod" The video explains how u can add magnets to make hall sensors more accurate.

check out the video. First he fires a radar guided. Then he uses the fireball to test a sidewinder.

Excellent guide prccowboy. If u have already selected full screen in dcs system settings, you dont have press alt enter. Doing so will disengage sli and result in low fps and flickering. My recommendation would be to check the full screen option in dcs settings and once ganme is loaded dont press alt+enter again.

Good to know. Enjoyyy your VR

sometimes I wonder How much effort and expenses humans are doing to kill other humans. These trillion dollar industries are just to kill each other. Anyways very nice information. I did not have any idea about about the modus operandi of the missile test system.

I dont own a mirage but I think its guns are awsome. Everytime I have been in a gun fight with a mirage, it has shot me down. Its small and fast.

Wow. How much money do these countries have. They are using real F16s as test targets.

Shadows are flickering alot in normandy 2.5. They were less flickering in 2.2

If a drone is piloted by a human then it wont be a drone anymore. I will be an aircraft.

I would like to further add to this thread that according to the testing I did, using some sli bits put more strain on your gpu then required. The purpose is not to increase GPU usage, rather improve performance. The sli bits that I am currently using(settings posted earlier), put less strain on the GPU increasing their overclocking potential. However, the usage do increase when required, for example, I tested in normandy at most demading location and both GPUs went to 100% usage while the fps remained stable. Both GPUs run stable at 2100 Mhz. When the usage increases at demanding areas, the temp increases and clock comes down to 2030 Mhz. Although it required lot of hit and trial but I am happy that all of us were successful in using sli. At this graphic settings that I am using one 1070 was stuttering and flickering. Now two 1070s are giving super smooth gameplay.

ok the alt enter problem is now solved. looks like the full screen option in dcs was unchecked. everything is good and sli is kicking a**. :):megalol::thumbup:

please correct me if I am wrong but do ureally think that a drone, no matter how advance, can match a multi million dollar jet piloted by a human being. I think otherwise. but I respect your opinion

unguided rockets containers are 'empty' but still firing
Drag80 replied to Teschmacher's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thats the first GOOD bug I have seen so far. Keep on firing and give em hell... -
Sale will happen in UK. You will be charged exchange rate from Canadian $ to pound and exchange rate will be of their choice. I bought some thing from amazon UK and they charged me 7% higher exchange rate than market rate. But as that item wasnt available in my country and a relative was coming from UK so that was my only option. While making the payment if they ask you your credit card currency, just choose US$. Otherwise u will be ripped off like me.:music_whistling:

No matter how many test they do, The only real test is in real combat. When you are facing a real fighter jet and not a remote control drone flying straight and level.

The trasaction will take place between your bank and the merchant and it will be reflected in your bank statement whether its debit or credit. By the way amazon and ebay already in Canada, You should try to find same item in Canada. The shipping costs will be too much. Financials transactions are usually very secure. Even a penny is accounted for. It has happened to me couple of times that My account was charged but the merchant did not recieve money. After a few days the amount comes back. However, if the merchant is a fraud or scam, then thats another story. Only buy from reputed sites.

No hard feelings but can I ask something ? How do u know how the 120C performs in real life? It has not seen much of real life air combat or has it?. Specifications are one thing and real life variables are another. I dont think any missile can hit its target beyong 20nm in real life. 20nm is a lot of distance. 36 Kms. Its way beyond visual range. EDIT : In real life combat, only 18 missiles have been fired out of which 11 have hit their target which gives us a kill probability of 60%. I think that pretty much matches DCS.

So I checked on the CPU affinity thing in the task manager and all the Cpus are checked by default. So cpu bottleneck is not a problem. Sli is working absolutely fine. The only problem I have is that I have to press alt+enter once in the game to get sli to work. And if by mistake I press it once again then sli stops working and no matter how many times I press alt+enter again it doesnt work. Then I have to exit the game and load again. This is a bit annoying. I dont understand the reason. Can Gsync or fast sync can have anything to do with it? Or if there is a way that I can run DCS in true full screen mode by default ? If anyone can help me out in this. That would be great.

Update about SLI. The graphic quality settings that I am currently using in DCS and NVI, One 1070 was not sufficient enough to do the job. At more demanding areas I was experiencing fps drop and flickering. So keeping in mind that I cannot afford a 1080 ti at the moment, spent some more time on the sli project and GOT IT TO WORKKK  The game is now running super smooth. Both VGAs are being utilized anywhere from 50% to 100% depending on the requirement. However, its not without some compromises. Once u load you first mission, You have to press alt + enter (ONLY ONCE) to make the sli work properly. Having done so, no matter u exit to main menu and load mission again, DO NOT press alt+enter againt or it will ruin the sli. Secondly, pressing alt+tab to access anyother program while running dcs will RUIN SLI. So if u want to access any other program u have to exit DCS, do ur job and load dcs again. I am attaching my NVI and DCS settings.
