That would make sense given that the default position is auto and the pitot heat is automatic in the Jeff.

Does anyone know what the PH Test switch does at the rear of the left console beside the emergency hydraulics and SHARS switches?
-
Found it in the changelog notes. It's stands for the following. A = Air A+G = Air and Ground A+S = Air and sea
-
What do the new filter settings (A, A+G, A+S) actually do?

Just testing in DCS World 2.9.18 and the Brimstone missiles don't seem to show as an option when re-arming. I can find all the other weapons though and they look nice.

What does the VRC button on the UFC do? I can't find it in the manual or the Chuck's guide.
-
Do Deka intend to support the new DTC feature in DCS 2.9.15 on the JF-17? Would be a nice addition to the already very fleshed out DTC implementation that you guys have.

Okay maybe not very shortly but I've done it now.
-
They have now brought this functionality back as of the latest patch. I'll make a video on this shortly.
-
I made a quick video on how this works.

Big thanks for the shoutout!

Okay and just to make everything super clear I made a video on the subject.

Okay actually just got this working. I had a missing bracket in my file and it would seem that the correct location is DCS World/Mods/aircraft/JF-17/Doc/airspace Not sure I like this so much as it's better practice to put everything that may change into the saved games folder. I don't know if updates or a repair will remove files in this location. In any case it's working now and I'm happy. See attached my corrected file. customerAirSpace_Syria.lua

Hello all! Very happy with this new feature from the 2.9.4.53549 changelog where we can create lines on the HSD. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/stable/2.9.4.53549/ I've gotten the F10 map and mission editor lines to show just fine. However I've been unable to make the lua file method work and was wondering if any of you have managed? I have my file formatted as per the example in the docs folder. It states that I should then place my file (customerAirSpace_Syria.lua) into a Doc/airspace folder. It doesn't however say where this folder should be located. I've tried the following. DCS World/Doc/airspace Saved games/DCS/Doc/airspace DCS World/Mods/aircraft/JF-17/Doc/airspace None of which have worked. Any ideas? I attach my file in case the format is wrong. customerAirSpace_Syria.lua

I also totally agree. I think the Jeff is one of the best modules in DCS as well as being refreshingly modern and just different. In addition Deka have modelled things which noone else has really modelled. The interaction with the ground crew, DTC, defog and the pilot getting cold. If you haven't already check out my playlist here for the FJ-17

That's not the process I follow in the video. I first select the mavericks, wait for them to time out and then do my targetting with the pod. Usually I wouldn't bother bringing up the maverick video for the E2 model as you get a hud indicator for the seeker position anyway. I would just designate with the tpod, fire the laser and then uncage the maverick.

Just posted this video into my Viggen playlist which I think is one of the few which talks about recon in the Viggen.

That's very funny that you should mention the sidewinder uncage. I've always done that as it makes sense that you would want to confirm the stability of the lock and expand the maximum allowable seeker offset in case you are manuevering. I get so many comments on Youtube from people saying that you don't need to do that and it's a extra pointless step. While technically true I think my method is more correct.

I'm now running a tutorial series on the Viggen. Check it out at the link below!

Hello all you fine Viggen drivers! I'm in the process of making a Viggen series of tutorials on my YouTube channel. Please check it out and let me know what you think. In 2023 this module is still one of the best in terms of graphical fidelity and realism. I'm having a great time covering it. Also browse the playlists on my channel for other tutorial series on the F-14, F-16, F-18, Harrier, Gazelle, Black Shark, JF-17 and probably some that I've forgotten.

The more I use the kneeboard the more that I would appreciate this option.

Usually the advice to to actually fly formation with the tanker as accurately as you can with certain reference points. Done correctly the probe will naturally find the basket. Because the probe is so off to the side in the harrier to refernce it versus the basket is pretty much impossible, especially in the sim with limited fov.

Thanks all, the support I've been receiving is much appreciated.
