  1. I agree that the choice of version isn't really an issue. It's a snapshot in time of the A10C and ED cannot be expected to upgrade the simulated aircraft to reflect the current IRL standard. The only thing I would like to see is a fix for the VR issues with the aircraft. Head placement and HUD scale. If these two things were fixed I would say that the aircraft is perfect and very much up to the high bar ED have set for DCS aircraft. Although if they were feeling generous a little bit of the cockpit ambient noise they have implemented for the Hornet would be nice (cabin air, inverter, avoinics fan).
  2. Use the fuel dump switches. They will bring you down to 2800 lbs of fuel or your bingo setting whichever is higher. 2800 is plenty for a vertical landing and should ensure you are within weight limits no matter what stores you are carrying.
  3. Would be great to have a realistic implementation of this RWR, seems that all the necessary information is here too. This module is simulated so nicely already this would really be the icing on the cake. During my most recent mission me and my wingman had to toggle search on and off repeatedly to figure out the situation.
  4. I'm running DCS World 1.5.6.5199 and flying the L39ZA. With the SARPP mode set to off in the special settings, the SARPP graph is still displayed at the bottom left of the screen during replay. I think that it was on during the recording of the track however surely the expected behaviour would be to be able to toggle it during replay of the track.
  5. I've just noticed in 1.5.5 that the cursor is now hidden when replaying a track. Is this a temporary situation or intended to be the final fix for this problem. My preference would be to retain the cursor but have it correctly positioned, however, if this is how it's going to be going forward I can work around it with some post-processing of my videos to add highlights to the switches, etc that I'm interacting with. Regards,
  6. If I save a track from a VR session and then play it back on my monitor the mouse cursor is offset. This makes tutorial videos difficult to record. See my example video below:- If it were possible to offset the cursor back to it's correct on screen position on playback this would be a great addition for YouTubers such as myself trying to record VR sessions.
  7. I've started recording DCS videos from my Oculus Rift and posting them to my Youtube channel. I'm quite happy with the results, see my most recent one here. I use the technique described above in that I record my audio live and the video from replay in order to get a widescreen picture. I also record at 30fps with the replay set to half speed and then re-speed it in order to get very smooth 60fps for the final video. The shaking is indeed the small movements your head makes all the time but your eyes filter out. It is very apparent when I'm talking in particular. Nothing that can be done about this I think as to smooth the head tracking would make you feel very ill during play.
  8. Nice work sir, I just put together a short video showing the difference between this and the default textures. ]

  14. Thanks for watching guys! We had fun making it and are already planning the next episode.
  15. Hello all, Just wondering if the weight of the second pilot is modelled when flying without solo flight ticked? Have fun!

  20. French comms would be very cool even if not strictly accurate. Should be easy to implement via a mod too. Any of you Francophones feeling up for it?

  22. +IvanK Thanks for clarifying that, it seems that the Turkish warnings were actually issued on UHF Guard which is 243Mhz as you state.
  23. Hello all, Obviously my question is related to the recent events on the Syrian/Turkish border however as per forum rules I'm not looking for any comment on that. Just wondering if Russian military aircraft have the equipment to monitor VHF UNICOM and if this channel is monitored as a matter of course?
  24. Hi Towsim, just wondering if you have any plans to implement an ATIS function into Gossipbox? Of course it's not a very important feature but certainly one of those nice to have things.
