  1. Hello all! I've been running a YouTube channel for a few years now where I'm building up a library of tutorial content for various DCS modules. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Always looking for input from fellow sim pilots. I also do a weekly DCS News stream on this channel, Saturday evenings CET. https://www.youtube.com/deephack F-16C Playlist F/A-18C Playlist JF-17 Playlist Harrier Playlist F-14 Playlist Mirage Playlist And many many more, browse my channel for various other stuff. Thanks!!
  2. So we currently have support in VR for hand controllers which is very nice indeed. My suggestion for a further development of this would be to have these hands visible to other players in multiplayer. This is already done with head position which is great but adding the hands would allow all kinds of cool hand signals. Preferrably the hands should be attached to the player body arms and move them also. I realise that this is quite a bit of development work and almost certainly not any kind of priotity but the immersion gains would be there for sure. Hand signals, saluting and "keeping up foreign relations" would all become possible
  3. Hello All, We are a virtual fighter squadron that operate in DCS called The Virtual Airforce (VAF), we are a milsim-lite squadron that run multi-airframe operations. We have a very well established European Wing in VAF and a newly launched North American Wing. We have an average age of 30+ within the squadron and this has made for a great and mature environment. Currently we have operational squadrons for the F-16C, F/A-18C, A-10CII, AV8B, AH-64D and we run a mixture of formal training deployment and operational deployments for these squadrons two nights a week. We have just started running up an F-15E squadron which will soon be open for recruitment. Stay tuned! We have also been searching for active ATC (ground, tower and approach), GCI and JTAC controllers for the squadron for a long time in the DCS community but have been struggling to find committed people to take on this role and spin up a controller unit within VAF. If we sound like something you would like to be a part of then please get in touch with me and I can make the relevant introductions within VAF. We look forward to welcoming you into our squadron! 4. If it's so troublesome for people then of course adding the option to adjust this independantly would be a good thing in the specials menu. Personally I would rather my simulated aircraft sound like the real thing which I think that this does.
  5. In every military aircraft video I've watched the predominant sound is the ECS. This is realistic. You have it in the hornet too, I don't feel like it's overdone. Actually I feel that it's missing in the harrier as harrier cockpit videos are dominated by the ECS sound with the occasional buzzsaw sound from the engine at high settings.
  6. @Kaktus This very handsome Deephack fellow has a playlist on the harrier.
  7. When you say manual engine control do you mean MFS enabled?
  8. Keep in mind that altitude and air temperature might cause you to not reach the necessary rpm for water to activate.
  9. I show the up to date procedure in this video.
  10. Bumping for visibility. Sorry for being rude
  11. Been a while but just wanted to post back and say that the December update fixed this and I was able to get my videos out on the subject. Thanks ED!
  12. In previous versions of Black Shark the fuel quantity instrument defaulted to off and throwing this switch caused the needles to jump to the current quantity as the system powered on. Now the needles always point to the current fuel level and the switch appears to do nothing. Is this corrected behaviour or a bug?
  13. Thanks to Kiwispirits tips on how to best use the LD-10 in active mode with a SPI placed using your AG radar and data from the SPJ pod I've managed to make a video. Check it out below.
  14. Would also be very interested in this. It's difficult currently to plan missions and estimate loiter time accurately.
  15. Made a video on the November changes to the harrier.
  16. I don't know for sure but would assume that this is correct and down to the anhedral wing slope. This reduces roll stability and an aircrafts natural tendancy to stabilise in roll. Couple with the stick push is probably making it worse.
  17. Totally agree with this. CRUISE is only used under very specific circumstances such as those noted above. Otherwise you should be in AUTO.
  18. This would be super good to know for mission design. Having some problems right now with vehicles which haven't moved blending with the background in FLIR.
  19. Any update on this one? I still can't use the harpoon and I've been hoping to record some tutorials on it for my channel.
  20. Hello everyone! Just wanted to post a link to my Youtube channel which mostly has DCS tutorials although myself and dotChuckles also do a weekly DCS News video cast on there. Please check it out and feel free to comment on my content. www.youtube.com/deephack Check out the playlists on my channel to see the aircraft I have series on. Have fun!
  21. Still having issues with the Harpoon in 2.7.16.28157. It now no longer disappears but it doesn't follow any of my parameters when employed in R/BL mode with a waypoint designation. I have attached a track showing it flying straight ahead and climbing up to about 30,000ft where it just stays indefinitely. Seems to be disobeying physics now. Harpoon Bug.trk
  22. I don't but I'll get one of it tonight.
  23. I was recording a video tutorial for the harpoon today and everything worked perfectly for BOL launch but when I switched to R/BL using a waypoint designation as target the missile would drop away from the aircraft and then apparently suddenly appear under the ground as per the F6 view. I have a video demonstrating it here Jump to about 3:21 for the shot.
  24. Flaps in auto at higher altitudes is quite a limiting factor drag wise. I was surprised how much easier it was to fly above 20k with them in cruise.
