  1. April fools? Sure it wasn't on the 30th of February? lol
  2. Without going too much into detail now here a quote out of the GUI manual: PREPARE MISSION. The PREPARE MISSION mode is used for integrating navigation and environment data into the saved mission file. When near the end of creating a mission, you can start the mission in the PREPARE MISSION mode (it will look much like usual FLY MISSION start) and create ABRIS data such as routes, navigation, target points, and drawing line objects. After completing ABRIS data input, you should save all the data to the virtual ABRIS hard disk as described in the Ka-50 flight manual. You should then exit from the mission and press the SAVE button in the ME to save all the prepared ABRIS data in the mission. With this data in the mission file (mission files are actually .ZIP files) the file will appear in the ABRIS\Database\ folder which consists of three files: ADDITIONAL.lua, NAVGATION.lua, and ROUTES.lua. You may open a .miz file with a program such as winzip. Additionally, using this procedure you can save ADF mission file data (beacon preset frequencies) in the \Scripts\Aircrafts\ka-50\Cockpit\Devices_specs\ARK.lua file. You can also set the GPS/GLONASS satellites constellation in the \Scripts\World\GPS_GNSS.lua file. If you wish to save custom beacons and satellite constellations in the mission, you must edit the proper files before entering PREPARE MISSION mode. For example, you can unzip the quick start mission and see this file structure.
  3. Hmm i dont know i have not a bit of a problem with how the trimming works right now. I press and hold the trimmer, move stick and after i got the helicopter stabilized to the way i wanna fly, i release the trim and move joystick back to center... When it gets a bit more hectical i also use the "hammer on the trimmer" way of trimming and still dont have any problems with violent movement... I think i would rather have problems with the solution you posted... maybe it is just a matter of getting used to. btw. i didnt change any files or anything i just use a TM Hotas Cougar and i use button S4 for trimming
  4. Sorry Groove sounded like JimMack had more infos already =) Ok i'll be patient =)
  5. hehe totally forgot about your way... so to put that together in one post again.... If you really want your abris flightplan to match exactly the pvi waypoints you can either: Set up a new Abris Flightplan along the PVi waypoints like tartan described it above, or you delete your pvi waypoints and set them up new by entering the waypoint coordinates manually into your pvi and save them as waypoints. Cheers Tartan =)
  6. In my opinion you should pay more attention to the pvi waypoints anyhow since route mode or anything like that relies on the pvi anyhow not on the abris... For me personally the abris is only "visual reference" or something like that...
  7. Well to do that you would have to set your pvi waypoints manually with coordinates ( and delete the old waypoints in PVI first). But anyhow why would you wanna do this? You got your Airfields in the airfield mode of the pvi and your flight waypoints in the waypoints mode of your PVI which i think is pretty nice...
  8. Hey JimMack, So can you tell me will the DCS series in europe be a multilanguage version, or for example german version only in german? (Definately want the english language version) So i know if i can pick up a german version with english language here or if I have to send some money over to my girlfriend in the states =)
  9. That's exactly what i written... only mistake i made is that i thought you can change that in mission editor because you got the extra line for PVI waypoint... Anyhow just tried it out and you can't change it in ME =)
  10. GGtharos you are right, but it depends on the mission editor! Normally you can choose for waypoints (at the bottom) as what waypoint it should show up on the pvi. Generally it is like Wp1 = start from parking = airfield 1, waypoint 2 = turning point = pvi waypoint 1 waypoint 3 = turning point = pvi waypoint 2 and so on And never forget pvi and abris are not connected...
  11. nah ill prefer to show how stuff works in game with others, when i can give them quick help too in case they did something wrong or got more questions... also i find it way more personal. But thank anyhow cloudman for the tool might check it out
  12. we were using Teamspeak (there is no ingame voice for blackshark) How we did it is, he written me he wants a lesson and i gave him my server ip (still a problem with the in game browser showing a wrong port #) he connected via ip and everything worked!
  13. I dont have a training online squadron but i like to help out newbies with a few training flights... Gave a few members here a lesson already and they liked it ... So if someone wants a lesson write me a pm and we can arrange something for sure
  14. Tango just hit me up with a pm whenever you wanna fly
  16. exactly thats what i meant with my post. using abris screen inside a TB profile
  17. Hi Leute!
  18. Sry was an answer to rob gordon, last post first page... did a quick reply without quoting... will edit it =)
  19. @ robgordon Well i never had a saitek stick but i can tell you that a unmodded cougar works perfectly for me. had not any issues with it. In my opinion those cougar modders are kinda addicted to make the feel better and better and thats why they keep modding... But i am very satisfied with the feel of my cougar. The only thing i have now after i think 6 years of having the cougar that the stick is hanging a little bit to the right (maybe 2-5 degrees), but i just set the deadzone a bit higher... anyhow i could also use a simple O-ring to compensate for that again as far as i read... but oh well i always wanna do it but always forget about it =)
  20. Use the helmet mounted sight. Combined with track ir or free track it is the smoothest shkval movement you can get =)
  21. The Price of that D-box is insane ! I would rather go for something like this Especially when the fixed wings are out.
  22. Hmm F-16 could do everything except carrier missions... F-18 could actually do everything... carrier based, can carry all A2A weapons and all A2G weapons the navy has in stock. Dont get me wrong i like the F-16 also but if you truly want a Aircraft that can do it all , your vote should go for the F-18. And i am not sure about that one now but i think F-16 counterpart would probably be the Mig-29 ?
  23. Doesnt have to be locked , ground lock is enough.
  24. hey mitch gotten the request i sent you 2 days ago? would be fun if you could answer me back in a pm. thanks mate
  25. I just saw the Multiplayer board today and if you click it you can choose lock on or DCS Multiplayer. So wouldnt it be better to put a board called DCS Multiplayer in the DCS Section and a LOCK ON Multiplayer into the Lock On section instead of having both apart from the main forums into the simulation forum?
