If working on your profile with curves smoothness and stuff didnt help, try out your precision (standard would be F7) hotkey maybe that will help you. but F-16s F-14s and F-18s would for example no need to be slow and vulnerable

Well anyhow i dont blame you, i was in a A-10 just for a short time anyhow, until i learned the f-15 and from that point never went back to that slow groundpounder again =) That would be just like trading a Ferrari for a small Fiat and since there is no gas price to pay the choice should be clear lol. But as far as i can judge mostly it was like why should i fly with those slow A-10s around for 30 minutes, if i can just fly with full speed into the combat zone and fire a few rockets =)

back then we used to fly the a10 in a 2 man formation and even asked for air cover several times but never got any help. You are right people play lomac like counterstrike its all about starting shooting and respawning =) And i feared it would be the same in DCS . Anyhow this poll has already 19 people stating they would not fly fixed wings they are just in for the rotary ones... so i still have some hope =)

Well what do i need a hud for if it is so small that i cant read anything on it? a bit of a waste dont you think? I still use a old 17" monitor and running black shark in 1024x768 you can hardly read the stuff on the hud.... and if we are then talking about the rocket pipper for example it is way too small too.... so the only way to help this is zoom... Anyhow if you read my post, it is realistic to have zoom inside the cockpit.. since if you lean towards something it gets bigger ( zoomed ) just try it out lay something on your desk and then move your head towards it = it gets bigger. Even if it is not realistic for the HUD it doesn't matter. Other zoom with keyboard buttons and i do it with my tracking device! Anyhow the starter of the topic said he needs to zoom with keyboard buttons and I helped him with a solution how he could use his tracking device for it, realistic or not!

Well hopefully it works out like you say... but if i think back to lock on times there were f-15s and a-10s too but still there was no f-15 covering a-10s =) there was a everyone fly f-15s and no one flys a-10s =) (same on the russian side)

but wouldnt it be possible to have the abris just use lets say 80% of the height of the screen and the other 20% you could include the 2 rotary and 5 pushbuttons? (sry i just seen so far what was possible in Lock on and IL2 with your wonderful touch-buddy )

Thats exactly what it does and i even think that's how it should be (except for the hud maybe) but if you lean towards something lets say switches in the cockpit then it gets bigger (zoomed) too.

Even tho I also like the f-15 and f-16 my vote would go for F-18 or F-14, just because those would be completely perfect allrounders , Air to ground, Air to Air, Carrier operations, and in the case of f-14 (also possible with f-18 ) 2 players in 1 airframe. Since there was no american or western aircraft for lock-on already that was carrier based... but ok i stated that already in the wishlist post =) Anyhow i hope you are right that the list not being certain!

that is if you wanna get and learn every module... (and even then 9 months is a bit long...) Personally i would only get the modules that interest me ( A10, AH64, F-16, F-15 and following western aircraft) i am not really interested in eastern Aircraft so i wont get those modules. I would say ( maybe i am a fast learner) 1 month of intensive training (2-3hours per day) and you should be very good already. So lets say 1-2 another months to "master" the aircraft! But 9 months that's way too much in my opinion! Anyhow i know it can't be like a new DCS module every 3 months lol (sad but true)

well you are in luck since we wont have a flyable f-18 for a long time

Oh ok... well thanks for the reply alpha. Just thinking loud now: "So if it is something like 1 module per year and there are 8 on this list now and dcs western version will be out in 2009, that means there is a chance we get a f-18 in 2018" At least number 3 and 7 will shorten the wait a bit =) (really sad thing is , again no western carrier aircraft)

Hi as the title says i wonder how much impact the polls in the forums have on ED decisions? Let's take that one as an example http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=31603 What i know so far is that we will get DCS Hog next and DCS Apache Afterwards... but which one is next? As you can see in this poll most votes went for the F-18 so does that mean we have a good chance seeing the F-18 as next module after those 2? Or which systems are you guys using to determine what is next? ( I also know a poll in the russian forum would look totally different than the one in the english forums)

hehe eagle i know you take it the slow way... from propellers to rotors and maybe the jetengines will infect you too pretty soon =)

Ha Ha sounds almost like you came here from IL2 Sturmovik , where everything was just 2 ubi's (or 2 weeks) away from release =) Damn i remember how long 2 ubi weeks can be =)

hmm i should have made more poll possibilities since now i am curious how much of those who would fly both, would fly the heli's just sometimes for fun and jets regularly or the different way around... Or Helicopters offline but Jets online or something like that Reason i am asking this,is what i seen in lock on before. I mean even if there were a-10's available on the server (almost) no one seemed to care for it in online multiplayer.

well i never seen a harrier with rotary wings... so i would count it as a fixed wing .... and believe me if you seen harrier wings rotating, there was definately somehting wrong... (besides if you ask for my personal opinion on the harrier... i never liked it)

I am just very curious how much would still fly the helicopters if lets say f-16 and f-18s would hit DCS.

hey i managed it to double assign my track IR Z axis... works pretty good for me. Dunno if it works for free track.
