According to Google AI this is the full moon stage for Sochi The full moon in Sochi, Russia, in 2025 will occur on July 10th at 11:36 PM, according to Time and Date. This full moon is also known as the Buck Moon. If you set that in the editor for Caucuses it doesn't give you a full moon at all.

He chose to wait, and so have I, the CH47 progression killed my enthusiasm for all things made by ED that are EA, I'll grab it in 3- 5 years in a sale. Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

Ah ok, that makes sense I'll try it. TBH though I'd rather keep the curves than have the stick move with trimming as it's quite terrible to fly it without curves. It's the only plane I have setup curves on, every other plane or helo I have don't have curves and works fine with the FFB Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

Once I had my curves dialled in after watching a few videos and also set up a slow trim option for the controls I managed to eliminate the nose bounce a lot from the plane and could fly it hands off when trimmed up, it felt so much nicer to fly. After yesterdays patch it seems to have more power which has helped in the overall experience. My FFB stick though still doesnt move as I trim the plane as others have said it should, I have a Rhino FFB stick.

Im the same with my Rhino FFB the stick does not move when I trim the F4U

That's the same I feel with the Rhino FFB. Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

This really shows a big lack in MP beta testing as it is a very easy bug to pick up straight away. Sent from my TB350FU using Tapatalk

I have taken off from both an dirt af and a carrier, it's the same process, pretty easy to do. Sent from my TB350FU using Tapatalk

Why is it so easy to take off, flying on the other hand not so much. On the runway all trims set, gun the throttle and it starts rolling in a straight line, only as the rear wheel comes up does it start to move to the L side a little which is countered with a little rudder. Also ground taxing is like any other US based WB with differential brakes and really quite easy, All the stories I heard was this would be really difficult to take off in, are there some factors that are not being simulated ??

Well done ED on Marianas WW2, its a nice map and has a great WW2 and Vietnam feel about it, runs so much better then the original map.

When you bail out your head disconnects from your body and you can see the pilot animation of him climbing out of the cockpit, then you fall through the plane floor and join the body again as you float down. When you land the body then again disconnects from the head and lands and lies down, the body then gets back up and joins the head again, a very Frankenstein moment :). This was in VR

Also the prop doesn't show as turning when duel seating in MP, it used to but its broken now

Request options to bind to axis and some missing key commands

+1 on this -
Well after flying it tonight the flight model is about the same as when the P47 and Mossie came out, very nose twitchy even with a good FFB stick, hopefully some updates will fix that. My conclusion is its still its a nice module but with terrible sounds package that lest it down a lot, they defiantly need to get better sounds for it. Happy with my purchase overall through

My plan was to purchase tonight but I'm seeing some mixed reports online at various places about the flight model being not too good. My base judgement would be against the Jug. I also have a Rhino FFB stick, how's the FFB in it. Thanks Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

How much does your DCS experience rely on community contributions?
Hotdognz replied to Dangerzone's topic in Chit-Chat
In our group which is mostly MP focused we use the community created TTI missions and also the Foothold and Pretence and Cfags missions that are community supplied and then we alter them to suit or group. So with those missions we use SRS for comms, then Mist, Moose, Splash Damage 3.2, Stopgap, CTLD which are used by the mission designers that all used to fill in the shortcomings of what the core DCS can supply, this helps us to create a better combat environment for our group to play on our servers. Our servers would be able to host vanilla DCS missions but these missions with all the add on 3rd party scripts within the supplied missions from the awesome DCS community make our servers a better place. We also run the following mods, A4E, Hercules, UH-60L and OH-6A Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk -
Pics look great. I really hope it's better optimised and runs better than modern Marianas, it's the worst performing map on our servers TTI rotation to the point no one from our group plays on it when it comes on due to their bad fps which is ashamed as it's good map. Oh I thought in a previous post by ED some years back said that items for the SC required Vulkan to be implemented, I must have been mistaken. I understand its complicated, looking forward to the next SC features some stage in the future, the deck crew add quite a bit of immersion to it when they work ok.
-
Its interesting how Vulcan slows this stuff down as its a graphics API, hasn't Vulcan been in the works for 6 years by ED ??, curios when it was first mentioned it was being added.

This thread was about updates to the CH-47 with added features and not fixes to existing features which we do also appreciate id like to add, but it clearly shows from the time line that nothing was added to the CH-47 between January 2025 and May 2025 and then we only got 2x new skins, that is a rather large period of time for a any EA module and one that really pulls my support from other ED EA modules, as I have stated before I have support ED EA right from the start and last year got the following ED items, Chinook, Afghanistan, Iraq, because of these last 3 modules with delays, lack of updates, the passion is still there but my support has dwindled somewhat, which I think is a shame and something ED should take seriously because its not just me.

I have been tracking the CH47 as my last purchase of a ED module since Nov 2024, I did this to see how development went after the big updates to it in October 2024, I considered the Apache to have a good dev cycle and thought this might too as I believed ED to have an experienced helo team, I was using this tracking to figure out if I would buy the MIG 29A in EA, based on the below list of added features since October 2024, its slowed to a crawl in the dev cycle, so I decided to hold of the MIG 29A My tracking was for added features not fixes to existing added features and I was looking for value added to make it fun to use in missions for its intended purpose of logistic, as you can see in 2025 we have had 2 added features and still have no ED added logistics features. 2024 October 30 - Major update CH-47 added items not fixes Added. Longitudinal Cyclic Trim (LCT) functionality in automatic and manual modes. LCT reduces fuselage nose down attitude as speed increases by tilting the rotors according to airspeed between 60 and 150 knots. This allows the fuselage to remain level for cargo and troops. Added. Differential Air Speed Hold (DASH) functionality (WIP). As you increase speed, the DASH, (a long tube in the flight controls with an actuator on each end) will increase in length. If you move the cyclic back to center, the aircraft will still maintain airspeed. This allows you to keep the cyclic in a more natural, centered position when flying at higher airspeeds. Added. ARC-201D and ARC-220 radios (WIP). Improvements to many MFD and CDU pages. Continue working on synchronization (WIP). November 2 - Hotfix CH47 - Nothing November 5 - Hotfix CH47 - Nothing December 5 - Major update CH-47 added items not fixes Improved. Synchronization of MFD screens and buttons. Implemented loading, display and addition of Fix Points to the flight plan Implemented display of FPP based on airfields/navaids with corresponding symbols December 12 CH47 - Nothing December 24 CH-47 added items not fixes Added. Trimmer options Added. Trimming with HAT on stick Added. Windshield wipers Improved. DASH tweaks Improved. Crew animation become faster when switching seats Improved. Further work on CDU pages 2025 January 21 - Major update CH47 - Nothing February 6 - Campaign Fixes only CH47 - Nothing February 20 - Major update CH47 - Nothing March 6 - Campaign Fixes only CH47 - Nothing March 20 - Major update March 26 - Hotfix CH47 - Nothing April 18 - Major update CH47 - Nothing April 22 - Hotfix CH47 - Nothing April 24 - Hotfix CH47 - Nothing May 6 - Campaign Fixes only CH47 - Nothing May 22 - Major update CH-47 added items not fixes Added: Liveries for Spain, Iran, South Korea and Royal Canadian Air Force Added: Collective position added to the Controls indicator

Nice update and thanks, but after 4 months of no new stuff for the Chinook except fix's, the 2 added features don't add up to much happing in that space and it certainly feels like its been moved off a priority list. Added: Liveries for Spain, Iran, South Korea and Royal Canadian Air Force Added: Collective position added to the Controls indicator
-
Well we got 2 added updates in this patch the rest were fixes, I wouldnt call the added features anything special though and really don't add to what the module is designed to do. Now they can at least tell us they are adding new features DCS: CH-47F by Eagle Dynamics Fixed: Engine behaviour in cold conditions Fixed: Internal FLIR textures Fixed: Reduced IR emission Fixed: Parked position of rotors Added: Liveries for Spain, Iran, South Korea and Royal Canadian Air Force Added: Collective position added to the Controls indicator

When using the bindings for the L and R MPDs switch/rotary for the DAY/NT/MONO the knob in the Apache does not move in relation to the binding, it used to but does not now. I have the Total Controls MPDS and while I can turn them and each mode changes on the in game Apache MPDS but the animation has stopped, you can click on it in game and still change it though. null
