Do you guys have multiple steam library locations on different drives? For me I was able to capture the error, and it seems to be looking for the .lua file in a different steam library folder than where it is actually installed. -

Ok, I installed the files into a folder, double clicked on "liberation_main.exe" A command shell window opened, some text scrolled in it, then a graphic popped up in the center of my screen for a quarter second then disappeared. Then nothing happened. Is there anything I need to do to install this outside what is in that first tutorial link? It says to just install it in a folder and run it... but it mentions having to do edits to the "MissionScripting.lua". What edits need to be done to it? EDIT: I was able to do a quick printscreen capture of the window before it shut down. The error is : FileNotFoundError: No such file or directory: (my steam directory)\\steamapps\\common\\DCSWorld\\\\Scripts/MissionScripting.lua" Replaced my drive location with (my steam directory). For some reason it is looking for the game to be installed on the wrong drive. I had previously installed DCS on that drive, but have since reinstalled it on another. Just tried deleting the old DCSWorld directory on the drive it is looking for the .lua on, and it didn't help. It's still looking for it on the old drive. Any idea where this is pulling information from on where DCS is installed? -

It seems like there are a lot of systems churning away in the background. It is really bizarre that someone would take so much time to create such a complex scenario and then release no explanation of how it works. The campaign is incredibly fun and well done though. Between this and Operation Snowfox, DCS now has some the best dynamic campaigns ever made. This one is almost reaching the glory of Comanche vs Hokum's campaign. I also love that you have the option of starting on the runway or right at the target waypoint. -
When I spawn an A2A mission, how do I find it? I can't seem to see anything in the coms menu. Is there by any chance a link to a document or something that explains how to use all the features while in game? I didn't see anything like that in the OP but maybe I missed it...

I'm a bit confused on how I am supposed to play this. So, I passed the first mission, then next mission I'm on the carrier. I fly north to scout out the frontline, engage some migs and get shot down. I didn't send in any of my assets as I read I should do initial scouting with just me and my wingman. I ended the mission and ran the campaign again, now I'm on the deck of the carrier with a default loadout of MK82s and Mavericks, and all the ground forces north of the front line I saw are no longer there in the F10 map. Did I lose intelligence on them? Am I supposed to just keep ending the mission then re-opening the campaign every time I die? Are there default missions being assigned to me, thus getting an ATA loadout on my first mission and a A2G loadout on my second?

Which of the DCE campaigns would you recommend for the F18? I checked out Battle Group Delta, but the mission times were way too long for me.

EDIT Got it: 4 Mission Start (Game Mode) set to 1. What is the difference between single and multiplayer? Apparently I've been playing multiplayer this whole time and it seemed to work fine... Sorry for all the questions. I've had DCS since A10 released 10 years ago. I played through the campaign then put it down waiting for Eagle to make a dynamic campaign engine. Decided to poke around the forums and saw several user created dynamic campaigns and started playing again a few weeks ago. Really new to all the mission editor stuff. -

When I start the mission, it says "Operation Snowfox will run in multiplayer mode". Is there some setting to make it single player mode? -

Well, I made the other 3 F18 slots on the carrier my wingmen in the editor :) Is there some other way I am supposed to get wingmen in this mission that I am not realizing? Also, out of curiosity, what is your processor? -

What I realized with using escape is that it won't let you select the plane you are currently in even if you are dead. You need to pick a different plane, then pick the plane you were just in and it works. -

I just reloaded the mission 3 times and didn't get a crash. Last night when I tried reloading it it crashed 3 times in a row... No idea what that was about, but its working now. My only issue so far is that the mission really seems to push the hell out of my computer and I'm getting a lot of lost frames in VR. I've optimized my system for DCS so I get great performance in other missions I play (Liberation, Through the Inferno, DCS made campaigns for A10 and F 18. Those all run pretty well. I realize this mission is doing a lot of stuff, this isn't a complaint. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do on my end to increase performance a bit... maybe by tweaking the mission? -

How do I go back and choose a slot? Is that done through "Shift-R" (restart mission)? I'll take a look at the log. By the way, this is a fantastic mission. As a matter of fact it is one of the best dynamic campaigns I've played in a flight sim, and I've played them all! -

The game crashes consistently when I try to run this mission a second time. It crashes after clicking "fly mission" at one of the world loading stages. If I run the game again after the crash, the mission will load fine and import in destroyed objects. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? Also, when I get shot down, should I just hit Shift R to restart the mission? Will the persistent objects remained destroyed if I do that? Or am I supposed to reload the mission entirely? -

Is there a way to make it so I can start on the catapult or in-air as opposed to shut down on the ramp by default instead of manually modifying the mission after it is generated? -
Is there a way to set this mission to start in air? I'm using it to do a bunch of training and sitting through the startup sequence every time I load it takes pretty long.

Is it possible to have a "modifier" button be considered a normal button when another modifier is pressed? For instance, I have almost all the buttons on my throttle as modifiers for the coolie had on my flight stick. I want to set up a button on my flight stick as a modifier, then when it is pressed have it modify one of the buttons on my throttle. The issue is when I put my flight stick button in as a modifier, I try to put the button on my throttle as the button that should be modified by it but that button itself is a modifier so it won't let my flight stick button press modify it. Sorry, it's a bit confusing but I hope you get the point. -
Is it possible to have the rudder rocker normally act as an analog rudder axis, but act as two potential buttons (push left and push right) when a modifier button is pressed?

I just tried to make a strike mission, but the window is so long with listed potential aircraft for strike packages that I can't actually see the start mission button as it is off the bottom of the screen. Is there any way to get around this?
