Hey Everybody, I just purchased a 4070ti and got it today and was doing some tests with it. So far it is doing fine with 80% Native rez and running 60Hz. I will post a pic of my settings but they are pretty high and it just runs perfect.. I am probally going to be tweaking for a bit just taking a break right now but so far it seems to be working well @60HZ and 80% rez of the Reverb G2.. Now I could try running 90 hz but I am thinking I will need to lower the rez quite a bit more but @ 80% ity does not look bad an I was using DLAA as well No DLSS.. I think the one thing holding this card back is the bus interface I thought it was higher but it is 192bit. I would imaging that is what holds it back from running more then 90FPS.. Also I am not running Motion Reprojection. if I did I would imagine I could definetely run 100% Rez. I just might try that and see what happens.. But since before I was running 30% the bump up to 80% is like worlds different and with the bump in settings it never looked better.. So for now the 4070Ti is performing better then I thought it would. I also OC the snot out of it and got 3.045ghz on the core clcok and 700mhz more on the memory.. and the temp is about 72c which is fine. so back to the tweaking and here are my system settings in DCS:

Well I seen it happen more then once. I been saying in VR if you cannot maintain your Hz in the FPS rate you will see stutter. I am able to keep above 60FPS as I only run 60hz and do not get much stutter. I play online as well and rarely get stutter. but I am not running 100% REz in the headset which allows me to maintain my plus Hz rate.. I been seeing some users catch on to this trick. in VR it is especially noticable when your FPS fall below the Hz rate..

well which sound card do you use? I do not have this happen to me when I play MP.

I thought there was a setting to switch which eye it is in??

Well like I was saying it is possible to probally fix it but it really depends on what is wrong with it and the skill level of the person doing the diagnosis and fixing..the process is simple like most anything process of elimination. From what I know I would check the basics. the one thing you can check but you may need a ohm meter to check the Power supply. or if the light comes on the little box on the cable.. having to try and fix what is inside that box will take some knowhow. if you dont knowhow then it may not be fixable by you.. I know for one IDK how to fix it so I would just buy a new cable.. but like you said for you they seem spendy. But you said you have 2 broken cables have you checked maybe the headset it self is broke? Do you have a friend with a g2 that lives close by that way you can check a confirmed working headset with your cables and his? The chance both cables are broke could be an unlikely possibility but not impossible.. IF you have a working headset I would test your cables with that headset. I mean what makes you think it is the cables does the headset do anything or throw and error code or similar?

Well yes soldering is one thing but to have the electronics know how is another.. IF anything basic I know the G2 has the cable with a little box which gets power from a power supply, I mean barring the cables being broke or cut or similar you could check to make sure the PS is putting out the correct voltage and all. then hopefully your people who can solder also have experience diagnosing electronic issues as the common cause could be that little box on the cable..

Well there is a way to fix it but one would first need to be technically informed how to do so and have a good solder skills.. if you have neither there is probally little hope. But what do you think is wrong with the cable?

Well I have heard that while using the F10 map before you go back to F1 zoom back in on your position. something about it loading all the texturesandsuch when zoomed out and going back into F1 view..

well I am not seeming to have many issues, works pretty decent here. I guess some improvements would be helpfull but you have to make some adjustments. Most problems in VR Stem from users trying to run max setttings with SS at 150% just not going to happen.. but I guess most users problems stems from that alone.. not all but some..

Hi Loukuins, Is your PC in your sig there?? IF so that system is a bit old for the current version of DCS.. are you playing in VR ?

Well I watched your video and it seemed to have gotten past that point with the nav fix but not sure if maybe I have the wrong function for the fix or was it changed or something.. Thnx for looking into hopefully you can figure what is going on. I did see the diagram in the video and it showed the 1st detent but I am not clear on what the 2nd detent is supposed to be for the control function in DCS.

use the following radio and bind a different key to it "FR22 PTT".. ********************************************************************************************************** Hey Rudel, I am having an issue with the mission Pre-Planned Nav I get to step 8 where I am supposed to make the fix over B1 and I hold the trigger and I get the E1 showing it is ready for the fix but when I press the 2nd detent in my 2 stage trigger button to do the TV Fix it does not continue in the mission and I am unsure if I do the fix to early or I have the wrong button press?? Thank you for these training mission. I can not wait untl I get the Kola map to try them there..

OK, OK, I screwed the pooch. I found my error, it appears the 2nd switch for the lights is a 3 position switch. and I think I flicked it in the wrong direction, I think it was ment to be switched to the left I was going to the right.. and when I switched it back to the left it was in the center so I had to switch it one more time to get it correct so that is what I did wrong.. Still unsure how I got passed it before maybe I clcicked it to the left mindlessly and did not realise it.. OK PRoblem solved thank you.. back to training for the Kola..

well I can add a trk file but it worked before and I have not changed anything besides add those few taz1004 mods but I since removed them and did a clean and repair.. Give me a few minutes I will add a trk file hopefully..

Hey Guys, I wanted to get back into the viggen so I started with the cold start training mission. well it worked fine for 5 times now I was doing this mission last night and this afternoon, well I cam back after Dinner and the mission is not procedding past where I press the keyboard after I turn on the 4 light switches.. Now I tried restarting the PC, Doing a Clean and repair with slow repair enabled and it is still broke.. I am just not understanding why it was working then after running the mission a few times it breaks? I will post me DCS.Log if it will help but not sure but I will post it, my specs are in the sigs, there is nothing wrong with my PC and the sim runs just fine no issues just the fact that the training mission is now broke. For the record I tried some other training missions and they seemed fine as I was doing most of them.. this was the latest log.. andif the logs shows mods I removed them completely then did the clean and repair.. so it might not be any mods fault, shouldn't the clean and repair fix any issues? maybe I should try a fresh install?? dcs.log

maybe it is a crypto miner or similar. what did you use to check your GPU Usage? I can check my steam link..

well you can definetely notice the darker image. I may just have to go with the the Crystal light with the dimming.. a little extra but looks like it might be worth it.. thank you

well other then this are you having issues in the game? the 1 thing I saw was about shaders and whatever is happening should not be happening. do you use a program to modify the shaders or similar?

perhaps xthe coolant level is low or an air bubble in the pipes?

in the headset after you launch the game do you see the blue diamond screen that appears then dissappears or the black diamond screen or does it just launch into WMR portal??

The Thrustamster piece was the origianl cast from either Bronze /Brass buy a pit builder forget his name but it was cast from Brass/Bronze. I have the wire there and the holes I tapped out to put the screws in the center piece for the wires.. this piece was listed at 125.00usd, this is not the after market one made from Shapeways or others that was 3d printed.. I am curious to know more about the dimming thing. does the crystal have it ? I was wondering if this will be a required to get addon? I dont have anything like that on my G2 and it looks fine?

yes they did that. did the OP use DDU to uninstall the nvidia drivers and did you remove some of the bloatware from the nvidia drivers? yes rollback just because there isanew driver does not mena it is the best..

well I for one was asking for it.. it is good to have options and if you want eyetracking get the Crystal for me I will take the light version any day..
