  1. Well it could have been a corrupted install, that does happen but usually if there is a problem elsewhere.. sounds like that what it might have been sometimes a reinstall works wonders even Windows sometimes.. Glad it seems to be all working out..
  2. no you need to run in win vista service pack 2 compatibility mode..
  3. yes win11 is a hoot no need to upgrade just yet.. I am stickingwith win 10 for now as well..
  4. well I just recieved a notification on this thread but I since had installed win 11 and when this happened to me I needed to turn off memory integrity core isolation, to get the drivers installed on win 11 for the stick to be recognised, you can also flash the firmware but as a last resort..
  5. this might be a factor try increasing your Pagefile if you have the diskspace: Page File: 35660MB used, 10637MB available ( this was in the log) so basically you used more diskspace then you have avaialble.. so you get stutter when this happens worse then if it accessed the needed space files.. I set mine at 102400.. EDIT: Have you benchmarked your PC and if so did it meet expected performance levels? there are tons of factors as too why you get stutter but your log showed your pagefile is too small.. also make sure there is enough room on the disk and that it is on a fast drive no platter drive SSD M.2 if possible..
  6. well what series did you plan on getting in the i9, a 14900K?? the 3080 will be compatible with your current motherboard as long as it is a PCIex8/16 slot and there is enough room in the case for it.. For a test especially if you use Open XR try turning the resolution down on the G2 to about 60% and see if the FPS improve. I would also see if you can keep the Hz rate of the G2 @ 60Hz and as long as you can stay above 60FPS it should be pretty smooth gameplay.. if you are trying the HZ rate @90hz it may not be as fluid..
  7. hmm well I just read the can of the stuff I have and it states it contains petroleum distillates so I guess that it is oil based lubricant.. I will look for the pure silicone spray.. I may need to clean the old stuff off with electric celaner.
  8. Hey this is the stuff I bought last time is it the same as the wd-40 silicone or is this stuff here different? https://www.amazon.com/Blaster-16-SL-Industrial-Strength-Lubricant/dp/B0019LV3GO/ref=sr_1_1?crid=396REH39V3RZE&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.2FS4lDuslKV4iQvgBrbn0PLcHed3ikjF3K2BFsY3zxGyeXkLsmR-0trSSaYfxPepX4No2edrcaJloiRcf205n9jjsQotcJtmSaixSsZSZuXw7mF-esVt35CgZ7-m09Zhned0sS1nC_5vz3EpNsdkWbwNecTjRicCVN1m4J1H9U-slbfmPu2_XG6KiBCNcsrzNJTUUz4fBki-2xW444TO6i7m-kfvnoX2eP0Cz6qe1UBuc_3KgFRpubiCn4_Ncrri-ckACQcdP-7sy_C0zxU2dHtTpzIO1nSFKdBImIvtwSU.pfbgL78wUxrikq822j1WWhzGQZrjVcMhXQJNTzCzBh4&dib_tag=se&keywords=blaster%2Bsilicone%2Blubricant%2Bspray%2B11oz&qid=1709101527&sprefix=blaster%2Caps%2C86&sr=8-1&th=1 is the wd-40 like what they used in the old rubiks cube in the 1980's?
  9. Hey Everybody, It is time to relubricate my rudder pedals. Last time I used some industrial strength Silicone lubricant which seems OK but not sure about using it again.. Once I tear it apart I will see how it went from last time I lubricated it like if dust and such is stuck on where I lubricated it with this silicone spray.. This time I was thinking maybe use a Dry Graphite lubricant or what else could I try here?
  10. Well you have to ask yourself when you had the server online was there other users connected to your server?, you do know that is how it works not sure about your lag but having network activity while having a server running is normal especilly if you have clients connected.. Perhaps your ISP service is not good enough to host what is your DL/UL speed??
  11. Hey What would be a good thing to do with the Saved Games folder, put that on a 2nd SSD then the OS Drive?
  12. my suggestion is reduce the resolution of the G2 and turn OFF DLAA/DLSS..
  13. well did not take M$ long to do this: https://www.tomshardware.com/software/microsoft-begins-forced-updates-to-windows-11-23h2-targets-pcs-running-21h2-and-22h2
  14. Well like I was saying OC'ing is not bad as long as it is a stable OC. and to get that takes alot of testing and trial and error.. those auto tunes are a nice feature but they usually overdo it.
  15. IDK never used it.. but for kicks and giggles try to remove the OC on your GPU and try DCS.. your OC might be a bit too aggressive and is not stable for DCS 2.9..
  16. OK well it seems that I should probally upgrade the GPU. I think I am going to hold off and see if new GPU's will be introduced this fall. No rush as my system runs more that adequate so all good I guess.. Thank you all
  17. Well an Unstable OC is likely the issue does not mean it can not be OC, it just has to be truly stable. the thing with the 1080Ti they usually do not run too stable with a OC on the Core, you can boost the memory a bit but Core usually likes to be under 100mhz.. I would stress test both the CPU and GPU and see what happens. I am not familiar with debug mode what will that do Silverdevil?
  18. Well I used to do this with NMS, and watching a youtube video whilst getting a stargate coordinate.. I don't remember for sure if I just had the youtube video onscreen in VR whilst paused or I think I was able to play and watch while in VR. I think the trick is too run in Borderless Fullscreen and not fullscreen..
  19. Well I may look at the 4070Super, but if these cards are not much better then the 3070's maybe I will hold off all together? I will look for some benchmarks for those cards 3070 vs 4070.. thank you
  20. Hello Granny, I would say it is the OC on probally the GPU. have you tested both CPU/GPU for stability with any stresser programs like OCCT??
  21. Well when I upgrade the cPU I had from the 9700 to a 10700K and was going to get a different GPU at the time but that was when the GPU's went crazy pricing and availability. I was just curious of others had made an upgrade to either a newer CPU or GPU and can say for sure if it was worth upgrading.. I currently can play any mission in DCS even in online mode and still stay above 60FPS which makes the VR smooth as butter. But I was just curious to what others thought of which direction should I go. I may just get a used PC Parts for my nephew and just get a upgraded GPU.. What is wrong with the 4070?
  22. Hey Guys, I currently have a Reverb G2 and am planning on keeping that for a bit longer. what I was thinking of doing was get a new CPU/Mobo or GPU? I currently have a 10700K and a eVGA 2080Ti GPU.. What would be the better upgrade choice for me currently. now I just wanted to say I can currently play with my FPS above 60 @ arounf 78-85FPS but I ONLY use 60HZ to keep it super smooth in VR. I really am not needing an upgrade but getting the itch sice GPU's are somewhat back in the normal pricing range.. I am not looking for a 4090 or what not maybe not even a 4080 so like either a used 3090 or a 4070 or new CPU combo what do you guys think?
  23. Well if you capped the Frame rates your system will not be running full tilt. try uncapping the FPS and see what it will do then..
  24. Hey Steel Jaw can you post the fix for other users that may run into this issue. THNX
  25. well I used to run 2 butkickers with 1 amp. there is some info a buttkicker.com as too how and which ones you can wire up for duals.. I would just contact them for help or look at their guides..
