Looking at the videos posted, the HUD does seem to be too tinted for me. Taking the video posted by MurderOne there is a short moment where the camera is fairly in line with the HUD and still not as tinted (so it can't be angle alone, given that the tint hardly changes and the tint actually seems a bit darker at an angle in that video, not straight on). On the other hand, does anyone have a video or photo of a real F-18 HUD being as dark as the DCS one? So far, I couldn't find any.

I get a DCS crash when I get shot at with an AMRAAM (120B) while flying the Gazelle (Minigun). Anyone else have noticed this?

Don't quite know where to put it as it's not a huge bug, so here goes: at Gudauta, some busses stand around and one is blocking the street (see coordinates in first picture), and they also overlap. They are even visible that way in the F10 map :music_whistling:

I'm using the English cockpit mod and don't have this problem, so I doubt it's the culprit...

You can find the liveries in [...]\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\ChinaAssetPack\Liveries\J-11A\ You can choose the liveries for USAF Aggressor planes. If you want to use the Aggressor liveries for e.g. Chinese aircraft, you need to 1. make a J-11A folder in \SavedGames\DCS(openbetaorwhatever)\Liveries\ 2. copy an Aggressor folder to \SavedGames\DCS(openbetaorwhatever)\Liveries\J-11A\ 3. edit the description.lua to include China - or remove all countries to use it regardless of country Still, I can't get rid of the numbers on the tails, unfortunately...

Didn't help. As it just happens in that mission (from what I can tell) and it's publicly available I'll ask in the thread of that mission if anyone can confirm...

Thanks for the tip, tried it, but unfortunately it didn't help - even after deleting and re-adding the GazMistral the same thing happens.

For me, no need to be in MP, single player mission works - then jump to gunner with '3', I can change freely between pilot, WSO, and gunner. To fire the minigun, start the Gazelle, MasterArm on, press trigger, have fun! As in my case the trigger is on my joystick and even when gunner you still fly the Gazelle, check over your left shoulder from time to time so you don't CFIT :megalol:

Not the sun - from my tests, the Mistral doesn't react to the sun at all. It might be the mission I use that may cause it, here, the Mistral almost immediately gives the lock tone. When I tested from the mission editor with just putting the Gaz Mistral at Gudauta and nothing else I didn't notice the problem.

Given that the J-11A and Su-27 look quite similar I would like to use some Su-27 custom skins. This works surprisingly well - however, the custom 3 digits on the tail often are in the way of the liveries. I haven't found a way to hide them yet, so usually a gray rectancle with the numbers is displayed. Is there a way to make the numbers and their background completely invisible (or at least the background in the same color as the livery, like in the AUSAF desert skin)? Thanks!

Hi, anyone else got the problem that the Mistral gives a constant lock-on beep even though nothing has been locked on yet and there's nothing around it might react to? After start-up, I get the intermittent search beep and I'm not sure what makes it change to the constant tone. When I then respawn, the constant tone is there immediately. Any idea? Thanks!

Hi, with today's open beta (2.5.1), the Viviane screen stays black for me. I see the reticle, the turn indication (G/D001 etc.) and the diamond for firing. Also, I can fire and steer HOTs. But I don't see the camera picture...

Hello all, the mountains' reflections on the water seem to be blotted out by objects in the cockpit (see pictures, first one with normal reflection). This not only happens with the Gazelle (I just took the screenshots with it) but also other modules. Has this been reported before? Didn't find anything on it.

Hello, flying the TF-51D in 2.5, I noticed an artifact on the canopy, visible at certain angles (see pictures). The P-51D does not have this artifact as the canopy seems more elaborate (with reflections of instruments, which the TF-51 lacks).
