  1. In real life it is like a axis control, if you pull or push the thumb wheel it will deflect the spoilers a little, if you go all the way in one direction it will go to a max position, not sure if they have it set up here that way or not though.
  2. Mine works like it is supposed too I use that function regularly
  3. Yeah typically he should come out of over sweep to 68 degrees where the wing sweep servo should be at, hit master reset and his W/S Light and CADC light should extinguish and then drive the wings forward manually using the thumb switch on the throttle
  4. Subscribe to our YouTube channel, we will definitely have more coming.
  5. Yeah I think they said mid 90's before DFCS
  6. Yeah there are a bunch, and unlike the automation of the Hornets BIT test you have to select quite a few individually , a typical launch when I was in the fleet would take up to 30 min, if nothing went wrong.
  7. Nice looks like ill be good ;-)
  8. F/A-18 and MIDS Voice Channels Will Simple radio support the MIDS Voice channels that the Hornet will be coming out with soon??
  9. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  10. Yes you can do it, the tacan can be either on x or y but needs to be on AA, ad the numbers have to be 63 apart, an easy one to remember is 29Y and 92Y. But works with 1Y and 64Y or whichever, there is a limit to how high you can go but I don't remember off the top of my head, this should work with all Tacan equipped A/C
  11. So I have been hearing a lot of people in my wing and other forums as well whether or not you guys will be doing tutorial videos prior to launch similar to what Wags did with the hornet, it was a good way to show off the plane and give some instruction as well, just a thought, Great work Heatblur, seeing y'alls work reminds me of being back in my old squadron, so realistic.
  12. Thanks Cobra for clearing that up
  13. Yes they were conversions, and they were better maintenance wise, at least electrically. They still used the same computers though. A big help was when we upgraded the pitch ,roll, and yaw computers and scadc. They didn't break nearly as much, but those were typically easy fixes any ways, but if you didn't have the part you would have to take it from another bird, which was a pain.
  14. From my friends that work on the Super Hornet it isn't as bad, because the plane does a lot of the troubleshooting for you, with certain BIT codes and what not. Also a lot of those parts are still under warranty. Part shortages was a big reason planes stayed down as long as they did.
  15. Yeah it really was, it leaked all the time, wires and computers were constantly breaking, I worked on Deltas but even some of them had this old brittle Capton wiring that would break . I think the average for flight hours to maintenance hours was upwards of 80 man hours for every flight hour, granted this was an average. During enduring freedom we actually had a 100 percent combat sortie competition rate which was unheard of in a Tomcat squad but it was after 9/11 and we were motivated.
  16. Those screens look like that too, between ground crew and pilots touching the screens, and they didn't get wiped down a lot, I get what your saying but they paint a pretty accurate picture of it.
  17. Being an Aviation Electricians Mate in the Navy on F14s, these depictions of the cockpits are dead on for a fleet bird on cruise. These panels, indicators, screws , knee panels get removed and replaced constantly, they even got the worn yellow circuit breakers. Now typically the cockpit is supposed to get painted every 112 days, but on cruise what happens is the panels are pulled, a FOD and security check is done, panels get touched up and panels go back in, even if they are worn, biggest gripe from pilots would be from light bleeding thru the panels for NVGs. This is a great and realistic cockpit.
  18. The majority of guys in our wing who have the rift cannot fly because it is so bad, mine works personally , but I hope it gets fixed soon.
  19. That's good to hear thanks Cobra
  20. Yeah it's pretty unplayable for almost all of our VR pilots in VCVW-11, we are contemplating reverting our server back.
